The party moves in without incident. This long room features a pair of intertwining staircases leading to the next level along the southern wall. Lying in poorly arranged piles against the wall to the north are some loose bags spilling over with lengths of copper wire, various stones and gemstones, cogs, wheels, and other devices, though the room’s northwest corner appears to have been recently swept clean.
You also see a group of kobolds in the room, two of which are armed with slings and spears (white and grey), the other two with crossbow and shortsword (green and red).

Then, Nat moves up and murderates the poor kobold.
Farzin fails to land his telekinetic kobold. Doesn't matter which one you redirect to
Thecla then roars like a dragon, which makes the kobolds smile. You are not sure that is a good thing.
The white kobold drops its sling, grips its spear, and steps in to attack Thecla... it almost hits, but her shield takes it!

Farzin finally hits again! Then Kralgang lets fly the pain! With those two attacks, green falls!
Thecla is intimidating, and then sh throws a rock in white's face! Sadly for him, he will be demoralized for the rest of his life (which is now over).

And she drops her ax and shoves the red-scaled foe into the pit. She's tentative at first, but then puts her back into it. As he falls, she leans down and picks up her axe

Grams pushes against the kobold, who doesn't budge at first, and then flies back 10'! The pit doors that Nat was trying to jimmy open up, and the kobold finds himself falling in!

He is able to grab an edge, and then the doors slam shut underneath him. You can hear the sound of water flowing beneath the doors.
You see what look like some intricate cloths that have been used in the mechanism of the door, before it slams shut. Looks like there is some embroidery or something on it. You would now need to open the pit to get at it.
The kobold stands up, yells out, strides forward and tries to stab Grams, but in the end, failing.

"Yes, is everyone OK?" Grams asks, making sure no one's hurt. When she realizes only she is, she lay hands on herself, healing her wounds, and then takes a few minutes to Refocus while the others pry open the trapdoor.

"Let's see what I can do."
Farzin tries to pick the lock on the door. Then checks his makeup in a hand mirror and tries his best to stay in character.

Farzin manages to get the doors open. Inside he can see four waterspouts coming out form the wall, each pouring water into the pit. He can also see some rather nice looking embroidery on some cloths that were made into the hinges of the covers. Might be worth a little, and with a quick detect magic he can tell they are magical.
There is also a potion in the belt pouch of one of the kobolds.

"Nice job, Farzin," Grams says, choosing not to think about what locks he might be opening that he shouldn't be. "I don't think anyone's claiming these now, so I suppose we can take them. Can anyone tell what they do?"

Make sure your exploration modes are up to date
The spiral staircases leading to this room converge, opening up into a barren stone room. To the east, an open doorway leads to a mirrored room that is almost identical to this one, except that it leads into another room that gives off a strange, eldritch glow through the open doorway.

Thecla makes her way to the room. She holds her shield lower, searching as she goes. Since we saw traps and no one else is searching, she will.
