Kralgang does not learn anything new. He then swings his sap, connecting with the skeletal champion!

Farzin moves back, the flaming skull skeletal champions take attacks of opportunity! While the first two miss, the third manages to land its blow! However, this is not enough to drop the sturdy sorcerer!

Now safely out of range, for now, Farzin casts his spell, hitting red with a rock! Red still stands thought it looks a little wobbly.

Grams then bashes red with her shield, finally dropping it! Doing this bolsters her, as the fear from the skeletal head finally passes.

Grey then continues to attack Kralgang! First it slashes with its sword, connecting with the hobgoblin. Grams uses her retributive strike to protect Kralgang. Based on chat

Then it tries to bite him with its fiery jaws! This attack barely misses, as it then raises its shield.

Grams winces at her wounds, and turns to the skeleton behind her. "So much for the power of grey skull," she calls out to Kralgang as she sees the hobgoblin's heavy blows on the creature. Still, she catches herself looking a little too much at his prowess, throwing off her own attempt to slam the blue skull with her shield, before snapping it back into a guard position. Not liking her position, she steps back, to where she can help both Thecla and Farzin.

Nat moves in, striking twice, hitting twice! He looks as surprised as anyone at that success!

Farzin casts his spell again, but evidently someone doesn't want him hitting the skeletons. He misses wildly.

Kralgang decides that yellow is not going to be easy to hit, so moves in to attack blue. But the blue flames throw his aim off, and he misses again.

Grams, hurting from the blows she has taken, heals herself, and then tries to shield bash. The pain of all the wounds throws off her aim, and she misses.

Blue once again attacks the flanked Grams. It manages to miss her, twice, and then raises its shield.

Grams is apparently still shaken, as she misses. Kralgang lands a solid blow, but does not finish it. Nat, however, does finish it with his first blow.

The skeletons all having been defeated, you have time to heal up and check things out.

One of the skeletons that attacked is somewhat “fresher” than the rest, wearing clothing and armor closer to modern styles, though still nearly a century out of date, as well as carrying an archaic wayfinder and a leather satchel all but destroyed by time. Both the satchel and an old brass‐bound book retain remnants of abjuration magic, though whatever enchantments allowed the items to survive years exposed to the elements seem to be nearly spent. Examining the book reveals it to be a journal written in Osiriani, though much of the information it contained has been water damaged or otherwise obscured. While exports in document restoration at the Pathfinder Society may be able to restore the book with time and care, all you are able to find is a single page of the journal that is still legible. Unfortunately, none of you know the language that it is written in.

Your journey onward through the forest is relatively uneventful. The trail itself is guarded by the occasional waypoint containing old stone markers, enchanted by some long-ago spellcaster with wards designed to protect travelers from beasts and monsters. After about two and a half days of travel since passing the forest clearing the tower marking Diggen’s Rest comes into view.

A lone tower juts upward through the treetops, the crumbled stone walls surrounding the tower indicating that it may have once been part of a larger keep. Spiked wooden barricades force anyone seeking to approach on foot to take a winding and circuitous route forward.
