Assume you all get a good night's rest. Be sure and use those two healing serums, and you may add HP, SP, and RP back to your characters consistent with a long rest.
If anyone has any healing they would like to do before the long rest, now is the time.
Tomorrow night we will begin with the barracks. Have a plan for the door and entering. I'll post a map that shows a large portion of the building, as many of the colonists assisted with construction. There are two doors you can choose from.

I was not able to login to Paizo from my office computer using a Chrome browser. I was able to login using and Edge Browser, so maybe try a different browser.
I believe Neap is the only PC with healing spells. They appear to have just cast two 1st level spells. As a 1st level mystic, they would have no more spells to cast, unless there is something like a spell cache or a way to regain a slot. So it'll probably be just the healing serums.

I have been dreadfully under the weather lately. I believe allergies have brought on a sinus infection.
Pardon my slow posts.
To complicate matters, I am headed out on a long weekend with my wife Friday, so posting will be limited. Hopefully I can find a good combination of ibuprofen, sudafed, and an antihistamine that works for this little trip.
My goal will be a good post tomorrow that will give you some direction, and then we will plan on a short break until Monday next week.

Lousy IRL distractions...
So I forgot to move my token before the ambush and have moved it now, does that count as my full turn? I'm assuming the squares are 5' each and want to at least be in the right place for round 2.

I'm will to assume that you and Neap are both within 5' of the doorway from the barracks into the mess. That should have you close enough to the action to be ready this turn or next.

Still a little behind the 8-ball this week. I see things opening up next week. I really want to get this group (along with my Junker's Delight and Threefold Conspiracy games) back to 6 GM posts a week. I made the mistake of agreeing to run a couple of games for the current online convention mostly happening on the Paizo boards.
One of those games is ending now.
All in all, it's good to for community, but it's taken away all of my bandwidth.

It's also a holiday* weekend, so those can get busy.
*I think its three separate holidays, right? Passover, Easter, something else. Ramadan?

So here's a thing I'm fiddling with for Neap:
Medkits. Gear Array allows for 2 Major and 3 Minor, but items that are consumed on use(I see you, grenades), are a fuzzy area. I haven't picked any of those because it doesn't quite make Story sense, since they all were thrown into this, and they have all that they need, really, but mechanically. I get that it's a flexible point for the character role, but I'm looking to the GM for this.
Medkit as a Minor Gear Array?

I will look into this.

I had a doctor character with a medkit, and over several levels, I never had to track expendable items. The kit merely set the DC for various uses of the medicine skill.

Me'mori |

Aye, it's the consumables in there that raise the (admittedly minor) question, as it could just be considered a toolkit, but the uncertainty lies in the potential for misuse, in that healing doesn—
I am suddenly reminded of Clarke's Third Law and realize that for these purposes, my concerns are a bit much. I simply don't want to start overstepping some lines.

Chiaiese |

Sorry for not posting - I've been lurking but my muse is dead, a casualty of corporate stress. I promise to post in the next day or two.

GM Quirk |

I am very sorry to do this, as I know this game is already moving a little slower than I think any of us would prefer.
I have had a death in the family (mother in law--she was in hospice, so this is no surprise, and in many ways a blessing).
If you could all do me a favor an patiently wait for next Sunday or Monday night, we will begin strong then. Right now my focus is just not there.
There is a fight with a rather evil Azlanti officer coming up, along with the chance to free some prisoners.
With any luck, there will be a brief celebration in Madelon's Landing before you are pointed toward the next phase of this adventure.

Chiaiese |

Take care, GM. Sorry for the loss in your family.

Duncan Sangster |

Not a problem. Take time to be with your family and take care of your family. I have processed the death of both my parents and my father-in-law, so I know it takes time and focus. We can consider it a cliff-hanger and tune in when the Starfinder show resumes a new season.

Duncan Sangster |

I already rolled a medicine check that I assume would have happened during the prelude to this last assault. Unless there is a medical lab in the colony or the garrison, he can't make this check more than once a day.
He can recover his stamina with a resolve point, but I doubt we'll need to fight any more before we can rest. Duncan can function and will contribute to figuring out what to do next once he catches his breath. He'll probably need to sleep before going on unless there is magic enough to bring him back to full hp.
He definitely needs to invest in some serums for healing when he can.

Apologies about being silent lately... life, work, and PaizoCon all kept me hopping for the last week. I'll post tonight.

Chiaiese |

Sorry, in the middle of a nasty covid bout. Double vaxed and boosted.

Chiaiese |

I forgot what you said many months ago - do we upgrade as well or stay lvl 2 for a while longer?

GM Quirk |

Sorry I forgot to answer this.
In thinking about this, let's have Chiaiese, Thak, and Yoro all level up to three at this point.
As a reminder to the rest of you, these three had participated in other adventures back on Absalom Station before we started Against the Aeon Throne.
At the end of this book, the rest of you (Neap, Duncan, and Sevens) will level up to three as well.
From then on out, I would like to keep all six of you on the same schedule, so you will all assume 4th level at the same time.

Regarding the gear, is it a single piece up to 1000 credits worth or are multiple items able to be picked, so long as they're not over tier 3?
I also have a question about multiclassing (for later) but I'm having trouble wording it right.

Duncan Sangster |

Sorry to get behind. I'm at the transition point between one school term and the next, so there's always some stuff that has to be done Friday and Saturday, which are usually days I spend extra time on posts.
I'll post Duncan's purchases soon. Any credits he has left over, I'll spend on UPBs for making tech items in the ship (at least that's the plan for now).

GM Quirk |

Sevens, feel free to purchase multiple items totalling up to the number of credits you have on hand (remember to add in that 1,000 credits).
Yoro, yes, go ahead and make that change.
Duncan, you're good. I'll get things started again tomorrow (Sunday) night. As far as the dust goggles, you could probably plow the credits into something different. Not a lot going to take place outdoors here anymore.

Yoromishtali |

Thank you once again for allowing the primary fighting style change.
So, the 3rd level Feat is Lightning Reflexes. Very tempted to go with a combat feat, but improving his lowest save feels like a better choice. Skills: 4 skill points: Athletics, Profession, Culture, and Medicine. Soldier's Gear/Feat Boost: Spinning Cleave. Gains Weapon Specialization (Advanced Melee). Also 7 hp and 8 stamina points. The vesk get a type of weapon specialization (unarmed) that increases the damage at 3rd level.
For the 1000 credits is armor available? Kasatha Microcord I or Vesk Brigadine?
