This is the discussion thread for Bounty #10 - The Tireless Path as part of PaizoCon Online 2021, set to begin on May 28th, 2021!
IMPORTANT NOTE - Because I am part of the PaizoCon Organizing Committee, I will have no time to GM during the actual weekend of PaizoCon itself. Thus, while mustering and character introductions/briefing can begin on the 28th, actual game-play will not begin until Monday, May 31st.
Recruitment for this game is handled through the PaizoCon Online 2021 Warhorn page, located [url=https://warhorn.net/events/paizocon-online-2021] here[/].
@ Northern Dreamer - I don't mind a later start as I will be enjoying the fruits of your hard work while rolling a ton of virtual dice throughout the entirety of the con. Thanks for your efforts and service. Looking forward to a great con and a fun run at this table!
I have a pair of brand new characters that I'd like to have play this particular Bounty (which I have played twice before) and was wondering if there was a general preference as to which to bring to the table.
One is a serious, angst-ridden human champion and survivor of Last Wall. The last of a family line that has long-served the Knights of Ozem, Garrace just barely clings to his faith to Iomedae after having all that which he once held dear torn from him.
The other is a comical and somewhat dark character, a dhampir barbarian that was, until recently, undead before being "cruelly afflicted" with the "curse of life" by a Pathfinder following the release of Tar-Baphon. Having served among the legions of the Whispering Tyrant for untold ages, the self-aggrandizing fool, Nangu, now finds himself rejected by the undead that he had long believed were his "friends". Finding his present existence fraught with the "pitiful fragilities and inconveniences" of humanity, he struggles to get by and make a place for himself in the world, particularly now that his "curse" has made many of his "former pastimes", such as pillaging and murdering, less inviting due to his being subject to exhaustion, pain, and mortality as well as their general lack of acceptance among other living beings (which he finds himself increasingly having to rely upon).
I intend to bring my new human draconic barbarian (a conversion of my playtest character). I don't know anything else about him yet because I still have to build him!
If you are a more visual learner here are some slides I made for teaching some new players a while ago. They need some updating but the basics are there.
LN (female) Halfling Monk 2| HP 28/28 | AC 20| F +7 R +10 W +9 | Perc(T) +7 Keen Eyes (+2 to seek) | Stealth(T) +8| speed 25| Focus Points 1/1 |Hero Points: 2 |Active Conditions: none
Apologies for being late to the party. I still need to add Society information and botting instructions to the character sheet but at least the basics are there. This is my first time playing Ansira, or any monk. I am looking forward to it and expect this will be a fun group to help develop her voice.
Yes to glyph Hero Points, or any other ones that you have. I gave each of you one on the slides, and if you could add how many glyphs you have in the other notes section, that would be awesome for figuring out how many each person should have.
Male Human LG Paladin 3| HP:44/44 | AC 20 (22 with shield raised) |Fort +8; Ref +6; Will +9 | Per: +7 | Hero Points: 1
I will be traveling June 11th through the 20th and expect to have limited ability to post, if any, during much of that time.
Please feel free to bot Garrace as needed. The info in his profile should be correct and sufficient for botting. As this is his first chronicle, I don't have any specific instructions on how he would handle himself.

I will be travelling for the next few days with limited online access. I should be able to check-in at least once per day but feel free to bot as necessary.
Hi all! Sorry for my delays, it's been a long week. That being said, I am planning to post to keep us moving later tonight, and then should be able to keep us moving forward. Thank you for putting up with my hiccups (doesn't help this that learning this PBP gm thing is new too...).

Carrol, Ansira and Garrace you should determine where your glyph bonus Hero Points are going.
I don't know the etiquette. Can you assign it to another for me, please?
There is no specific etiquette that I know of. With mixed levels they usually first go to the lowest levels and/or newest players. With all of us L1, I started with the barbarian and fighter, expecting them to be in the thick of it.
If Lysle gives his to Halgur and you give yours to Lysle then you and I will try to keep my campaign coin in reserve if you need it.
The rule to remember is that each character can only receive one extra Hero Point from glyph distribution.

Hey gang. So sorry I have been MIA. As noted above, I am dealing with a family emergency/situation. This has also put me back in the land of intermittent power and even more intermittent Internet. It seems that the quickest way to a blackout is to try to catch up with my games. Storms are rolling through, so this is likely to be the case for a few days yet.
Thankfully, the PTB allowed me to post this afternoon.
Has anyone heard from our GM? No posts since Saturday
Internet went down on Sunday and finally came back online last night (and navigating the forums on my phone is a disaster). GM hasn't disappeared, and is working on updating tonight.
Y'all first I want to thank you for playing this with me. I know that we have taken longer than a PBP of this length should have, and for that I am sorry. However, this was the first PBP I have ever run, so figuring out timing and posting has been an experience to say the least. I appreciate your willingness to put up with me, and I believe I have figured out some things for if I do this in the future.
I have already finished your chronicle sheets, and you can find them here. If there are any concerns, please let me know. I am going to plan to archive this game sometime early next week, or once I hear from each of you.
Thank you again, and may your dice be in your favor!
