Bina eyes Daraj uncertainly. Never trust a dwarf with the same penchant for explosions as a goblin, she thinks to herself, but decides not to interrogate him on his behavior. Could be he's just weird. Dwarves are all weird, as far as she's concerned. Who lives under the ground, sweating all day at a forge, where you can't see the sky? Or the thousand thousand pinpricks of light at night? Granted, living in Bloodcove didn't give the best view of the stars at night, but once she was out on the open road--er, ocean--it was like a sea of lights that reached its fingers down to touch the sea of black she floated on. For all her grievances with her choice to join the Society, she doesn't regret that.

How could anyone choose something other than that?

Then again, she muses, I dance people to death. I guess we're all weirdos.

----

At the entrance to the shrine, she shrugs at Itka. "I can be quiet-ish," she offers, "but Khaul could wake the dead plonking around in all that metal. No offense," she hastily adds in the champion's direction. "Anyway, I'm happy to keep an eye out from the front. It's what I was trained for."

She also gives the area a once-over with Itka (separate check, not aiding; I don't trust myself not to roll a nat 3 or lower and kill Itka's check. Bina has a +7) then taps Zelphari on the thigh. "Hey. I'll be scouting so do you mind if I carry the light and go first? I'll be careful with it, I promise."

If Zelph is cool with her carrying his wayfinder to light the way, Bina is happy to go first. Otherwise she'll go second or third. She'll be using the Scout exploration activity.

The shrine is dark and stinks of smoke, with coarse masonry walls coated in heavy soot and a 15-foot-tall ceiling. The fitted stone floor is obscured by mounds of burnt wood, broken furniture, ash, and soot. The piles of debris on the map are difficult terrain. Some of this debris still smolders, and looks hazardous.

Two hallways off this chamber end in mounds of rubble. A few crumbling stone pillars carved to depict flames still stand throughout this destroyed room — pillars nearly identical to those at the meeting site. A large iron brazier large enough to hold a person sits on a platform at the east end of the hall, surrounded by a channel of flammable black sludge and accessed by a small ramp.

As the Pathfinders enter the room, three skeletons rise from the ashes.

WOOT! Thanks!

Since we have two light sources, Bina doesn't really need to carry one. Should be light enough to see without her having to carry it. I really should get a wayfinder after this, though!

I assume everyone but Daraj was meant to be in bold? If I'm not supposed to go yet I apologize.

Bina frowns at the familiar-looking pillars, only to be jostled out of her inspection by rattling bones. "HOLYFRICKINHECK" she blurts, frantically pulling out her short sword. Seeing there's no meat on them to stab, she frowns and adjusts her grip slightly to accommodate sweeping strikes instead of slashing ones. Doesn't seem like it will be much better against bones but that's all she's got.

She hustles toward the northernmost skeleton, feet twisting and undulating side to side like a pair of serpents as she slide-steps to a rhythm only heard in her head. She even snaps the fingers of her free hand like she's mugging her way into battle.

The soundtrack in Bina's head is currently on "Still Feel" by Half-Alive.

"Hmp." Of course they're skeletons. Peeved that her really cool spell would likely help them instead of hurt them, Itka limps forward along the wall a bit to get within range, then begins the harsh vocalizations to draw forth her go-to attack spell. Greasy black tendrils appear around a piece of ember-glowing debris and hurl it toward the green skeleton closest to her.

Rules question for Telekinetic Projectile range:
For Telekinetic Projectile, the 30' range obviously applies to the relationship between the caster and the hurled object's location. However, what's the thrown range of the spell? Could Itka have stayed back by the stairs, used the glowing pile of refuse 3 squares south of the stairs, and hurled the debris at the green skeleton, which would've been more than 30' from her, but just 30' from the location of the object used by the spell?

If Itka didn't have to move, please move her back to the southwest corner by the stairs, and she'll instead cast Guidance on Daraj instead.

Unfortunately, no - from the spell description, "No specific traits or magic properties of the hurled item affect the attack or the damage." So, you can't do fire damage from hurling an ember, nor cold iron damage from throwing a piece of cold iron.

Sorry - this last few days and the next week will keep me occupied with family matters. I will check in as available - meanwhile, anyone can "use me" for healing purposes. So I could have used 2 Heal spells in a 30' readius mode instead of those potions (keep them for later), and that would have applied the 12 healing to everyone, not just Bina. After that, how does everyone look?

I think Bina was the only one that was hurt. I think she may still be hurt. You can use the 2-action version of Heal (which heals 1d8+8 to a single target), or, if you have non-magical healing, you can save the spell for combat.

I will move us to the Blakros Museum once healing is settled, please make sure your taglines are updated, even though nothing ever goes wrong at the Blakros Museum.

Happy to give those potions back and take a healing spell instead. Bina was down 17, so two would guarantee full HP and one would put her about where she is now but without having to use anyone's consumables. I would say the latter is probably better, and you can save the other spell for the next scrap we get into.

The Blakros Museum is a basalt building located in the Wise Quarter, a district known as a center of learning with streets thronged by students, professors, and government officials.

As the Pathfinders approach the museum, they notice an unnatural storm spirals around Blakros Museum, battering the building with torrential rain and a barrage of lightning that strikes just outside the doors and windows. The gardens around the building are aflame, burning despite the deluge. Crowds flee the deadly storm in a panicked, chaotic stampede of tears and screams.

This is a skill challenge. Each stage lasts for more than 1 combat round, but less than 1 exploration round, so the time will be a little loosey-goosey. You can cast spells, although clearly you won't have much time to rest inside the museum so be judicious in using your resources from this point forward.

Challenge #1: A young dwarf stumbles out of the Blakros Museum. The heavy wind at his back makes it hard for him to control his movements, and he’s tossed into and trampled by the stampeding crowd, sustaining an injury to his leg in the process.

You can ignore him and move on, you can carry him to safety (and lose a bit of time), or you can heal him (magical or non-magical).

Terrified, he fled into the streets for help.

"Please, help them! I don’t see any of the employees or patrons here, they must still be inside."

The supernaturally heavy rain batters the team. Everyone takes 1 bludgeoning damage!
