Open recruitment for #2-17, Lost Maid of Anactoria (Tier 3-6).
When the grim “local celebrity” of the small village of Anactoria goes missing, its townsfolk reach out to the Pathfinder Society for assistance. A group of heroes arrive just as a band from the rival Aspis Consortium have headed out into the nearby swamps. Is this a coincidence, or is there more going on in Anactoria than meets the eye? Of course, everything is subjective when you visit a town where its celebrity is a mummified bog corpse!
1. I prefer to start this game prior to PaizoCon / US Memorial Day weekend, but would be open to starting afterwards. Either way, this scenario would overlap with PaizoCon PbP games. Please don't sign up for more games than you can enjoy.
2. Posting expectations are standard: 1 post/weekday and 1 post/weekend. This pace has typically yielded games 5-7 weeks long (low of 3, high of 12).
3. This is a relatively new scenario. I will offer priority to any active PbP GMs wishing to turn it around and GM after playing it.
4. All other things being equal (rarely are they, but in the spirit of full disclosure), I will choose to make a high tier run, because I'm actively trying to get used to GMing higher tier scenarios.
5. Recruitment is NOT first come, first served. I will leave this thread open for at least 48 hours (Friday morning US Pacific time), and everyone who applies during that time frame will be considered simultaneously.
6. To apply, just post in this thread with your intended character, availability, and include a bog pun. Multiple applications from multiple characters are fine.
I'd be in if we can start after PaizoCon--I need to play my only in-tier character during a PaizoCon game.
It's Friday morning, and while I'm happy to run with 2 PCs and 2 pregens, there are other options that I need your inputs on.
Some other players have expressed interest for a Level 1-4 game in Cottonseed. Various people have expressed opinions, but you two would definitely be in the game, and you'd get to choose which one of those from a short list of 1-4s I'm willing to GM.
The decisions I need from you are:
(1) Run #2-17 with two players plus two pregens, or not?
(2) If not, run a Tier 1-4 with 4 additional recruits?
(3) If so, which one of #1-02, #2-01, #2-05?

To be clear, you have the freedom to say no to both (1) and (2), in which case I'll offer this: I'm going to go ahead and immediately recruit for a Tier 1-4 game (probably #2-05) without you, but I will guarantee you a seat in the next Tier 3-6 game I run (I have many on my list - #1-09, #1-13, #1-19, #1-20, #2-02, #2-06, #2-17).
The only disclaimer: I'm not sure when that would be. I am going to be on vacation for two weeks in July, and in general find it difficult to keep up with GMing while on vacation (my games suffer and I suffer too). As a result, I will either start games to finish before my vacations, or start after my vacations in August, or if I start in June it'd be with the explicit expectation that we pause for 2.5 weeks in July. But basically I'd PM you before posting for public recruitment to make sure it works for you.

(3) ‘Eκάτη (Radim's player) has highest priority (even with a different character), Warah (any character) second, and others who posted in Cottonseed prior to this message, third (will select randomly if oversubscribed).
(4) Note that Radim is Level 4 and Warah's proposed character was Level 2. If everyone else brings a Level 1, it would be low tier, but high low tier (17 CP for those to whom that means anything).
(5) I will leave this recruitment open for 48 hours (Mon evening US Pacific) and aim to start pretty quickly after that if people are ready to go.
(6) Please make sure your character sheet is updated when applying.
