I am for having both of the characters have been part of the meeting honestly. It'll be the easiest way to drop everyone together and we seem to be a surly, quiet bunch of characters (for now) so it'd be should be okay.
Sorry for the delay posting last week.
Getting some reno's done and the basement was finished midweek, so the process started to move the family downstairs so the first floor could get worked on.
Add that to my work load...and the game slipped. Should be better posting this week, but then next week I'm going out of town for a much delayed visit with family, so posting may get spotty that week as well.
I say for now let's get our shopping stuff out of the way and get to the adventure. My suggestions for basic equipment:

That leaves 75gps we need to cover after the chit.
I can volunteer +25 gps...
I have no coin to spend, so I'm out of the discussion.

Hi guys,
Sorry I didn't get an update up this week. What with dealing with the renos, finishing moving downstairs so the contractor can start on the first floor on Monday, and getting ready to leave town for the week his morning....
I had been planning to keep up some posting this week, but have decided to leave all my responsibilities aside (work and play) this week. Having a week with nothing to do but have fun with family will do wonders I think for my brain after COVID, allowing me to come back refreshed in body, mind and spirit!
Expect a post to continue on or around the 26th.

Do it! Have an excellent break. We've got the house to ourselves right now, and are heading down to visit the in-laws next week for some town celebrations (tradition). Still trying to figure out where we are moving to in a few months, and now my gf may be spending a month in Puerto Rico coming up, so busy, busy, busy! Enjoy the break!

Hey everyone.
As Spazmodeus and Avion know me (I've gamed with them off and on for a decade now), I figured I'd introduce myself to everyone else at the table.
I've run several campaigns set in Eberron here on Paizo, all that failed dramatically, lol.
I work in film and television, writing and producing, and have a real estate investment company. I don't get to play the game at a table anymore, similar to many of you, but on occasion will be able to play a game with my daughter (15), girlfriend, and best mate where we take Disney princesses through Rise of the Runelords. I do some adventure writing set for publication on occasion, and adapt AP's into plotlines that resemble nothing of their original inspiration, lol.
I've learned a couple of things that I feel make PBP more likely to succeed, and I am trying to personally implement them through my role-playing. One is a somewhat talkative character. (By that I mean responds with a post frequently, not blankets with huge posts.) A character who is bought into the idea of the adventure and needs no convincing. And more ooc banter. More talking about the random s#!t in our lives, I guess, lol.
Anyway, I have high hopes for this game. I'm unfamiliar with the adventures, despite owning them, so this should be fun.

This weekend will be fun. We're braving going in public (vaccinated) again, this time to see the Green Knight. Quite excited about this film. Previously we went to see Black Widow. It still feels odd to get out, lol.

Good luck with Green Knight, the reviews are mixed from what I've heard.
I'm expecting great things. I love Dev (tried to get the bastard to sign onto a project and failed, lol), and we're fans of the director. This style is right in my wheelhouse, so we're looking forward to it.
Let us know how Jungle Cruise is. Could be rompy fun, lol.
OK. I don't want to give anything away directly, but it's very 'Pirates of the Caribbean' really. The Rock is fun as always. It's a little bit predictable from a writing standpoint (and as a part time writer I would know), but they still managed to surprise me several times! My 7 year old loved it.
Not bad really! I doubt they will get multiple movies out of it however. Not really 'sequel' material I think.

Spazmodeus, are you wanting us to declare all passive requests, such as "do I have knowledge of said thing with my knowledge (said thing) skill"? Or "do I see anything with my Perception"? As you know, in my games I always roll those for the players and just TELL them what they know, and eliminating constant restates with re-rolls on the same skill (five Perception checks in one room to "look at everything", but only if you think you could roll better than the previous one) but I wanted to know how you were going to handle it at this table. Do I need to declare Perception checks and Knowledge requests and roll them?

The Green knight was excellent, btw. A solid adaptation of the poem, where the director made some choices in direction for meaning and leaned into them subtly. It is absolutely beautiful, but I would say this is a piece of art, a film, not a "movie", if that makes sense. This does not follow modern Hollywood storytelling tropes that audiences are accustomed to. But if that is your bag (it is mine) then this will be an instant success for you.
Hmm...I usually like to provide spoilered Knowledge or perception or other checks where appropriate . That way you can roll and adjust your post depending on what is revealed by your roll. Trusting the players not to peek where they shouldn't :)

Same. Dev is always someone who I am interested in seeing. And this is an interesting take on the legends.
It's been a busy week for us here. We're looking for houses currently. Came across a too-good-to-be-true deal.
Now here is the kicker: I find those all the time. They're very findable. But there is a certain...feel to a too-good-to-be-true deal. This didn't have it. The real deals tend to have numbers that when looked at in a certain light are just excellent, or when you dig into a deal you find something interesting, like the square footage is listed incorrectly at the county, or there is an extra water right, or they will seller finance, or something.
But this one was just it was too good of a house listed for way too cheap. And...drum roll...it was a d@mn con artist trying to get me. Drove for almost three hours, too. Sigh. Quite annoying. The search continues!
Hope everyone's week was less exciting than that, lol.
I'm not trying to sell my house in Texas, but I get three offers a day by either e-mail, letter, and/or text it seems! Its REALLY annoying knowing your house is worth a ton more than you paid for it, but you don't want/need to move!

No. Utah. We get all the smoke, and we have real estate going up up up. We’ve had one of the strongest economies for over a decade, and everyone moves here.
Just watched The Suicide Squad. 7.5. If you have any squeamishness about blood, gore, or animals being hurt, avoid it. It was a popcorn movie, and not bad, but not great. This was the best DC movie made since Nolan, and it was...okay.
One of my friends in Florida just caught Delta. I hope everyone is staying safe and hale and vaccinated. :)

Last week my whole family was laid low by a nasty bug. Not Covid, but bad enough. So while I wasn't tending to myself, wife or daughters, I wasn't in too much of a posting mood.
