I intend to keep on putting points in Linguistics as we go - so should end up with a few. The sergeant came across many different scenarios back in his days with the military, and every so often he remembers having learned some tidbits here and there ;)

Indeed it will!
Sorry, I wasn't happy with my starting post, so re-working it...your patience is appreciated! As for languages, having some of the more uncommon languages would probably be of benefit. Draconic, Auran, Terran, Aquan all may or may not come into play :)
Thanks. I now know all those. I don't plan on picking up any more languages though. Just have a high starting INT.

I was really looking forward to this one guys, but unfortunately the long wait and lack of regular updates have wore me out. If the game itself proceeds in the same similar fashion, then it will not work for me.
So I offer my apologies, but I am dropping out of this one before it starts, giving you a chance to pick someone for my spot.
I wish you all the best, and hope to see you around the boards.
Cheers!

Ah well...too bad! Sorry the delay bothered you so.
Happy gaming , Reknar
I thought of bringing someone from Table 1 over, but Shadoo should be back at some point, so Table 2 will start with the remaining 4.
Back to the delay, hope the rest of you are still in. I'm not going anywhere, and while RL might slow things down for me at times, the game will continue until it ends...
Got rocked by work on Thursday so some work left to be done on my initial post for both tables. It's mother's day weekend so, probably get to work on it Sunday evening, with a post coming Monday.
Thanks for hanging in there!

Hi guys,
Apologies for my absence.
In a nutshell, I've was offered and accepted a bunch
of new work that obviously disrupted my activities here.
My time quickly became overcome by my new responsiblities, and
not being the most organized person, I found my free time disappearing.
So wanting the best of both world, this situation forced me to organize a lot better.
Still going to be working a lot, but now I've carved off part of my day for my games here.
Hope you all are still willing to continue!
Updates coming tomorrow!

So with annual training coming up the 12th through 30th of next month I cannot really justify a smart phone purchase for a highly inactive campaign or maybe getting into a new one.
As such I will be dropping from this campaign. Things are moving far too slowly to be tolerable, and would feel even more so if I was spending long days in the field only to check for updates at night that didn't come for a week at a time.
Best of luck to you, but not willing to invest as much into this campaign as it would take.
GM Spazmodeus |
Sorry to see you go, Kib.
Happy training!
Too bad, had some interesting plans for you!
For those that remain, I'm committed to continuing, delays not-withstanding. With two originals now gone, I think getting one more in would be a good idea, especially at this point in the tale.
Just wanted to make sure you all wish to continue.

Hello all.
I'm still in the process of formulating who she is. So bear with me as some things are subject to change.
Her name is Khatín Kurón Xinivane. (Kah-theen, Koo-Rone Shin-ih-vahnay).
She's coming down out of the hills from the Twilight Monastery. She is a monk. This is where I'm at so far. Lol. I'm working on some backstory and personality, and some tie-ins with everyone. Any suggestions would be welcome for how she might know you all.
Krios Dinrulsis |
Welcome to the group! We're glad to have you with us. If the monastery is isolated, she may have come across Krios and Whitepaw out in the wilds when he patrols.

Greetings everyone!
I'm in one of Spazmodeous' other games, and he invited me in. I'm putting together an Oracle of Flame(Seeker), which will hopefully kind-of cover both of the Divine and Arcane aspects for the group. Once I have more, I will post it.
=)
Krios Dinrulsis |
That sounds interesting. What kind of cat is Whitepaw?
Whitepaw is a female cougar, native to the area with its mixture of forest and rocky hills. Tanned fur with white around the paws, there are strange symbols painted upon her fur though made from a concoction of plants and herbs. For those in the know, they're ancient runes of strength, growth, and power that have been used for untold centuries. They're also my story reason why she becomes bigger later on.
Here's my new avatar! More incoming...
Welcome to the group! We're glad to have you!
Krios joins the dwarf in kind of being surly and not that good at social situations. Krios tends to prefer the company of animals and the forest; they're simpler and more straightforward. This amount of gold could help the Lodge though and if a cairn has been unsealed, it would be good to make sure nothing dangerous comes from it too.
Ashlynn Schmiedefeuer |
Nice to meet you, Ashlynn.
Greetings Khatin! Looking forward to getting started. I will try and finish as much as I can tonight, and get the rest complete by tomorrow so things can continue ASAP.
Ashlynn is an Oracle with a Wizard complex. Sent to Magnimar by relatives to be trained as a wizard or sorcerer, it was eventually determined by her master (after months of wizard training) that her abilities are Divine, not Arcane in origin. Helping her as much as he could, her master then let her go with some of her family's finances back in her pocket as a refund. Now stuck in Varisia, she has been trying to figure out what to do next. She had been attempting to spend the better part of 2 years training to be a wizard's apprentice!
Worse still, Ashlynn is a worshiper of Sarenrae, but keeps getting confused as a cleric or inquisitor. She hate it, so she tends to try and pass herself off as a wizard or sorcerer mostly unless forced to explain herself.
She's prideful, but humble at the nature of her abilities. She also finds fire magic, and the nature of magic itself, to be utterly fascinating.

Am I just taking over the spot of the kobold? Should I go off what you told them, and what they said? Or should I just ignore that, and go off what I saw the group do and say, and respond from there?
Ashlynn Schmiedefeuer |
1. I've crossed my 'T's and dotted my 'I's I think.
2. Read what has been posted so far.
3. What's next?
Do we want to assume that Ashlynn has been with the group all along, just really quiet up to this point? She feeling very vulnerable right now in life, and would make sense for her...
GM Spazmodeus |
Since Kip the kobold didn't say much, let's pretend that Khatin and Ashlynn were present for Erutzan's proposal.
Feel free to ask any questions you have in gameplay, then once that's satisfied, a supply run can be made and preparations for departure...
I'll review your profiles , and let you know if I have any questions.
Thanks
Al
