It has been 25 years since the Sandpoint Seven saved the world, not once but twice. Preventing the return of the Runelords and then , down south, preventing the return of one of Rovagog's terrible beasts. Thankfully, the world has not needed saving since then, and those heroes have moved on into legend. A couple are still know to those who know their name, Valeros a minor noble up Riddleport way, Seelah leading the efforts at Lastwall. The others...faded into obscurity.
Not that things haven't changed, Magnimar has become the largest city in Varisia,it's half million citizens dwarfing it's old rival Korvosa!
Elsewhere, Galt has sorted out it's internal struggles and has become a power to tend with, having conquered Taldor and with new ally Molthune, marches on Cheliax.
But such activates are distant to those who live and toil in Diamond Lake!
Who knows, perhaps the next set of heroes could emerge from such humble beginnings!
