It would be strange if she suddenly changes tactics..
I was contemplating letting a terrible nightmare creature pass through the gate. I cooled off when I saw that he had actually cast those spells. I must breeze over his posts. Easily corrected going forward.
You took the correct approach imo. That is exactly what I would do. Come back hot without hesitation for the kill. That is how I played it when I ran a party through there. Was over pretty quick.
And now you are separated again. Really? LOL

Yep. The lack of violence and the spells appearing to come from somewhere else apparently threw them off. Don can't do anything but a move with Tally around so surely they will join you and you can clue them in.
If they pursue her as is I do not see it ending well.
I am ready for this to be over as much as you are. LOL Will be interesting even if frustrating.

The market in the morning to get things to give to Eleanor (Fae is invited). Horseback to the manor. Easy with the help. Will ask them to tell the father that they are there if he needs anything but no interference with his duties. Remain there for some time to give him aid.

...and the 50 castings of the spell...
I am so glad we have this back door. It is 50 doses of the material compnents, hence the cost. The spell must be prepared and available when the crafting is done each day. For this wand it will be 4.5 days which equals 5 days. I think you knew that and just said in in a wierd way. Those second languages...
5 v 50 whew

Menan shows the contract to father Grimburrow. "Your thoughts, father?"
After he looks at the Marinelli signature.
Where and when is that happening? In my imagination, it is morning, you are at Eleanor's house and Father Grimburrow isn't. There is several ways to fix that. Shall he come back in the morning?

Necromancy Level 4 spell
Enervation: Give the target 1d4 negative levels with no save (ranged touch attack required), these negative levels stack. A pretty solid debuff, especially good against single super-tough targets.
I found THIS link very helpful. All those spells you never considered looking at all sitting out there for taking in. I disagree with some of his conclusions but agree with most.

You did not give that quill a moment's glance. The school is necromancy.
:-)
Now is not the time, though. Four monks with stunning blows and suggestion. And Don hesitates again. Igar's mercy.....wait, he has none. I will be surprised if your party pulls this one off. Retreat is best case imo as an observer. Their DCs are lower than Paddypulp. This will be interesting.

Pushing the envelope, you are. You are supposed to stand guard not fight and stand guard (gave you that). I doubt you could even see the correct square to get them all. I did not have the patience to even pull up the map. Make an invalid move and it will be as gone as a lost spell. Careful.

Valdis Pechman |

I drew a line from a corner of my square to the point I placed the center of the glitterdust.
The command was: Valdis that he wait outside the arch and make sure no one approaches from that front.
Spell description: You influence the actions of the target creature by suggesting a course of activity (limited to a sentence or two). The suggestion must be worded in such a manner as to make the activity sound reasonable. Asking the creature to do some obviously harmful act automatically negates the effect of the spell.
The suggested course of activity can continue for the entire duration. If the suggested activity can be completed in a shorter time, the spell ends when the subject finishes what it was asked to do. You can instead specify conditions that will trigger a special activity during the duration. If the condition is not met before the spell duration expires, the activity is not performed.
The spell is making a suggestion. My action was perfectly following the wording of the suggestion. It is not relevant what the intention of the caster was. It is a language dependent spell, only thing important is how I understand it (within reasonable limits). If I had thought of it, I would have covered my ears and shouted "LALALA" to negate the effect.
But one could argue, that you are pushing it. "We are going to kill you on behalf of our mistress. Now lay down your weapons." The result of that action is obviously harmful and in no way reasonable and could as well make that spell fail immediately.
As a player you outright ignored a suggestion for a whole day and had it removed with a dispel magic.
I'm not sure how a suggestion is supposed to work. But so far I didn't use the spell as a player, because I assumed, that it auto fails in any combat situation. It definitely is no command person.

Now you see where I (the pdf) am coming from. Suggestion and charm can be difficult for many. Very circumstantial imo and often difficult to play out correctly.
I have never used suggestion in gameplay as a player like you for the same reason. Interesting take by the authors. They probably know this game better than the two of us put together. Their take does make it effective and it is useless to me and you :-)
Retreat and come back quickly. They have a few suggestions left and Igar will most likely not use them. As frustrating for me as it is you.

Are you moving forward or have you lost interest? I think P and where you were going is very interesting.
Oh, and I have an idea for another player. An evil female something with high charisma that can project an aura of good. Her intentions are to take over and rule the town noble by noble from the top down.
