Same here.

Kitsune Game Master

That draconic ally is a nice spell, but if you want to use it in a fight it will be a pain.

Here you got a lame pseudodragon, now apply everything from the Form of the Dragon spell.

Did you choose red dragon because of the avatar, or is there another reason for taking a chromatic dragon?

F Dusk Elf Two-weapon Warrior 5| HP: 39/39 | AC: 19 T: 16 FF: 13 | Fort: +5 | Ref: +6 | Will: +2 (+1 v fear) | Perc: +8 | Init: +11 |

I considered most of the templates and well, red seemed to do the job. There were several decent red dragon avatars.

Yeah, pretty cool to get a pseudodragon for a week. Easing into this conjurer and liking it. Hope I can do it justice. Red's job is to alert us to anything that approaches from miles around. He might get off a breath weapon from 30 feet and survive. He may never fight.

F Dusk Elf Two-weapon Warrior 5| HP: 39/39 | AC: 19 T: 16 FF: 13 | Fort: +5 | Ref: +6 | Will: +2 (+1 v fear) | Perc: +8 | Init: +11 |

The poison DC was easy as it stated it was con based. The reflex save for the breath weapon was not so obvious to me. Looked at some other red dragons and well, I just used the DC for the spell I cast.

Kitsune Game Master

I wonder if chicken soup has some special properties in Pathfinder, that I haven't read of.

M Dusk Elf Evoker 5| HP: 27/27 | AC: 18/14 T: 13 FF: 11 | Fort: +2 | Ref: +4 | Will: +4 | Perc: +9| Init: +13 |

It cures anything.

Kitsune Game Master

In that case I have to look up the price of it in the Ultimate Equipment.

Or is that one of those "11th level clerics hate this simple trick. Save big by eating chicken soup and never needing a heal spell. Click here for our special offer."[/b]

Kitsune Game Master

I did a little investigation on how to diagnose a curse. As there is no equivalent to diagnose disease. But a curse is permanent magic put on someone. Which lends itself for Knowledge(arcana). Though the DC is rather steep.

Female Human Oracle(5) - HP37 AC19/11/18 - F2/R2/W5 - Ini+6 - perc+1

The question about Persephone's source of magic is an interesting one. There is always the easy answer: A divine sponsor. The bones mystery lists Pharasma, Norgorber and Urgathoa as possible candidates. Which reeks of a lack of proof reading. Because you could try to avoid all the undead using abilities or maybe even argue that control undead and summon undead isn't frowned upon by Pharasma (cough, cough). But latest when you get the final revalation: the ability to animate undead for free, Pharasma is out.

Which leaves the undead queen or the god of greed, murder, poison and secrets.

Or the gods use oracles for the stuff that is off the book. That would go against the official teachings. Then Pharasma would still be an option.

F Dusk Elf Two-weapon Warrior 5| HP: 39/39 | AC: 19 T: 16 FF: 13 | Fort: +5 | Ref: +6 | Will: +2 (+1 v fear) | Perc: +8 | Init: +11 |

Food for thought.

Kitsune Game Master

The curse actually is a lesser geas. As the RP doesn't cause any effect on Menan (besides the desire to eat chicken soup), I need to resort to the rules to move something into the desired direction.
And before you ask: No I didn't cheat with the save.
If you insist on not going, you can try to have it removed right now. But you won't resist the call for another night. Next night you'll sneak out and walk alone through the dark to the castle.

Kitsune Game Master

The not mentioned middle ground option would have been to go there during day with all of your friends. Just in case it wasn't clear.

M Dusk Elf Evoker 5| HP: 27/27 | AC: 18/14 T: 13 FF: 11 | Fort: +2 | Ref: +4 | Will: +4 | Perc: +9| Init: +13 |

LOL. I have no idea what you are up to :-) That is fine. It will play out one way or the other.

Kitsune Game Master

The ghost had a surprise birthday party planned for you and will now be very sad.

M Dusk Elf Evoker 5| HP: 27/27 | AC: 18/14 T: 13 FF: 11 | Fort: +2 | Ref: +4 | Will: +4 | Perc: +9| Init: +13 |

Not as sad as when I put him in a jar and pester him daily until I pass it on to my children so they may do the same.

By temple, I meant Abadon.

Kitsune Game Master

Two minutes before end of edit you vanished from the temple of Pharasma.

You really need to be more clear. You could have ended in an elven orgy. :P

F Dusk Elf Two-weapon Warrior 5| HP: 39/39 | AC: 19 T: 16 FF: 13 | Fort: +5 | Ref: +6 | Will: +2 (+1 v fear) | Perc: +8 | Init: +11 |

True. I shall certainly be more specific :-)

Posts show up on the dots page before they do on the page they were posted to.

ABADAR.

Yes. Poor kid. No one wants to play with him.

Robert Shaw has an awesome collection. Listened to it for the entirety of the holy days.

Kitsune Game Master

Two things:
1) Do you know any flavorful magic item? The best I've found so far is the sleeves of many garments. I'm looking for stuff that is fun, without necessarily bringing mechanical advantage without being too expensive.

2)Have you played DnD 5e? I need to get up to speed about character building there.

F Dusk Elf Two-weapon Warrior 5| HP: 39/39 | AC: 19 T: 16 FF: 13 | Fort: +5 | Ref: +6 | Will: +2 (+1 v fear) | Perc: +8 | Init: +11 |

I had a player that used the sleeves of many garments. Pretty handy for fun stuff. There are some decent pickpocket's garments out there.

5e once at a table years ago. Only the gm knew the rules. Played very well and there was far more role playing than usual with those rules. Cannot help you there.

This is an interesting dip
arcane savant

Interesting note. I did not /url the link, just pasted it and the site broke the link with a space. Had to go /url

RE Samuel:

Decided he needs to quicken spells. 4 slots higher, I do not think so. So, he could take two feats and make a rod at half price or save up and buy one. The first rod would happen at the same level up regardless of approach. 36 days to craft a rod in game play. LOL. Answered that one for me.

Kitsune Game Master

I'm not getting old today. Good night.

F Dusk Elf Two-weapon Warrior 5| HP: 39/39 | AC: 19 T: 16 FF: 13 | Fort: +5 | Ref: +6 | Will: +2 (+1 v fear) | Perc: +8 | Init: +11 |

Good for you. See ya tomorrow. Will most likely post late as much is going to happen.

M Dusk Elf Evoker 5| HP: 27/27 | AC: 18/14 T: 13 FF: 11 | Fort: +2 | Ref: +4 | Will: +4 | Perc: +9| Init: +13 |

Looking at evoker. Tough build imo. End result is roll a bunch of dice and say half damage, you are still dead. This is the perfect place to work that one out.

Kitsune Game Master

Admixture Subschool

And then there is some feat whose name I can't remember that allows you to cast one spell spontaneously like a Cleric can cast cure spells. Put that on fireball.

M Dusk Elf Evoker 5| HP: 27/27 | AC: 18/14 T: 13 FF: 11 | Fort: +2 | Ref: +4 | Will: +4 | Perc: +9| Init: +13 |

I believe that is preferred spell. Was at the top of my list. Saw that last night when poking around. Admixture for sure. Intensify Spell, spell focus, greater spell focus, spell perfection, elemental focus.

Sam will probably go with selective spell.

Kitsune Game Master

That's 10 ranks in spellcraft and a +1 spell level on every casting. Maybe check tactics. Omari, Heshan and Sam will stay back. Khedron will go into melee and Ohrmizd. See if that hinders your AoE spells. If it does, put resist energy on those two and fire away. Might be a more effective strategy. Resist Fire 20 for 70 minutes is a nice long lasting buff if you have a dungeon crawl. And you can already do this now.

Agreed. Definitely. Thank you!

Kitsune Game Master

Feel free to move to the docks and do the preparations for the prank. Remember to stay out of sight for the change and I'd like to know how you intend to fix the voice issue to not give it away immediately.

M Dusk Elf Evoker 5| HP: 27/27 | AC: 18/14 T: 13 FF: 11 | Fort: +2 | Ref: +4 | Will: +4 | Perc: +9| Init: +13 |

Will DC 17 on the disguise, 16 on the vocals. Success does not reveal the individual or the voice, it merely allows the subject to realize it is an illusion.

Give adults a place to post using a rule set and see what happens. LOL.

Kitsune Game Master

There are adults around here? Oh, no! XD

Interesting thing I noticed when I built Arawyn and her predecessor. IIRC, they (PCGen) apply 1/2 dex to off hand attack just as they do to strength on an off hand weapon. When you have that, which Arawyn does not atm.

Kitsune Game Master

You're aware that it's your turn with Samuel?

M Dusk Elf Evoker 5| HP: 27/27 | AC: 18/14 T: 13 FF: 11 | Fort: +2 | Ref: +4 | Will: +4 | Perc: +9| Init: +13 |

Waiting to see the results of the last few attacks.

Kitsune Game Master

I'm not posting every single attack result. Especially if they are not in any way relevant to the next in turn.

M Dusk Elf Evoker 5| HP: 27/27 | AC: 18/14 T: 13 FF: 11 | Fort: +2 | Ref: +4 | Will: +4 | Perc: +9| Init: +13 |

Khedron did 22 hp of damage to a gnoll caster. I am to assume by your lack of posting that it lives. Well okay then... That was just not clear to me. Thanks.

Kitsune Game Master

Khedron didn't do any damage to that gnoll caster. Just because the minions are squishy CR<1 creatures for you to mop up doesn't allow any conclusions about the elite NPCs.

M Dusk Elf Evoker 5| HP: 27/27 | AC: 18/14 T: 13 FF: 11 | Fort: +2 | Ref: +4 | Will: +4 | Perc: +9| Init: +13 |

Whew! Sam just posted.

Zero favorites. Good call. I do them rarely. This is one of my favorites from one of my players:

I'll be interested to see how you allow me to bring in a new character after I get coup-de-graced by a tooth fairy.

I hate fey, but that is a new all time low. :)

F Dusk Elf Two-weapon Warrior 5| HP: 39/39 | AC: 19 T: 16 FF: 13 | Fort: +5 | Ref: +6 | Will: +2 (+1 v fear) | Perc: +8 | Init: +11 |

My response was "I have already decided how to do that." Or something along those lines.

Kitsune Game Master

You don't get coup-de-graced by a tooth fairy. That's playing them wrong. If the tooth fairy hits and the PC fails the save against paralysis, then the tooth fairy will go for the steal combat maneuver and rip out a tooth.

Because steal 1d20+7 works a lot better against a CMD that has a -5 dex and a -5 Str penalty.

They are the arch nemesis of sorcerers and bards. Or anyone who doesn't look like a hobo with missing teeth. They are sadistic torturers, but by no means are they going after you life first.

You may still bleed to death from the lost tooth, especially as commoner, but not as an adventurer. I think of them more like the rust monster. Mostly harmless critters that cause panic, because they easily ruin something that is hard to replace.

F Dusk Elf Two-weapon Warrior 5| HP: 39/39 | AC: 19 T: 16 FF: 13 | Fort: +5 | Ref: +6 | Will: +2 (+1 v fear) | Perc: +8 | Init: +11 |

Exactly. They were after his teeth not his life.
