Hey, I am back now. Sorry for the 1 more day of 'vacation'. The new quest have started.
Smoky will want to stop somewhere to get some party clothing....will deduct 131 credits....for reconfig clothing of Party, Everyday, Zero G, Radiation and Athletic
How exactly does the party clothing look like for an uplifted bear? First I thought about John Travolta in Saturday Night Fever, but then I recalled that Smoky is a Female so.... Grease Olivia Newton John outfit? :P Just made me wonder

So... Another set of rambling. In a scenario like this with quests how to handle the ends of the mission. So far from what I saw I usually do the following:
- Wrap up of the mission: You've won the space fight, you got the tablet etc.
- Briefing for the next mission (call with Arvin of some sort)
- Begining the mission
So I know that in theory, you as agents should come back to the Absalom and head from there. I make you go from the place where you finished the mission as it is silly for me to ping pong you to and from Absalom Station. But...
Either I will post 2-3 rather big posts one after another (wrap up a mission and start of another one) or I will post them on separate days if someone wants to RP the ending etc.
When I look at the block of text that I have in those posts they could be a bit hard to digest. But otherwise, I am adding 2-3 days of gameplay simply to let folks to follow behind the story...

That way usually works. It is pretty much what I do IRL/Discord. I do agree that in PbP I don't like to see 1 post of wall of text unless it is necessary (Example....Vehicle combat in a game we are in Farol). It is best I think to at least set the stage, and let the PC's banter until dropping the next post that slightly continues the scenario.
Though I am still in the mentality of 1 or 2 posts a day per player, and maybe 1-2 for GM (to continue the narrative)...though banter and rule explaining should likely be extra....
Just a heads up....if this doesn't wrap up by the end of April...I might have to take a week hiatus (will be doing that for this and Shifty's game(s))....going to take an actual vacation to get a few more spoons for my sanity....

Got it. I will try to speed things up, maintaining the highest level of quality that the PBP world has ever seen :). Or at least be at the end of the final combat.
"actual vacation to get a few more spoons for my sanity"
I will take it as feedback for how well I am doing as a GM :D rotfl

The actual vacation is from my work.....dealing with college freshmen taking chemistry labs is bad enough...add COVID and social distancing...which means half max students in each room...but running 2x the number of labs to keep the total number of students coming in means 1.5-2 times more work for me.

Ouch! Got it, I hope you will get some rest mate!

GM rambling:
- A Club interaction.
So till this point the game was fairly streamlined (track the android by doing X,Y or Z), go into the combat etc.
Now we have a club with plenty of NPC's, few specified skill rolls, and unlimited possibilities. In live game GM could present the scene and let players do whatever: 'I go and chat with the bouncer', 'I go and try to ask the bartender about the ownere' etc. etc.
This would work due to chatty nature of VTT/live game (GM can respond quickly to whatever questions etc.)
In PBP I can try to recreate that: but it would be so slooooow (due to 20 h delay between responses). So I tried to describe the scene with some hints what could be tried hoping to give enough information to let people try things without restricting them too much. Do you know a good way of handling such places?

I have no idea what's causing it, but sometimes my post shows up as being posted for me but it's still in the text box and I can submit it again (and again and again and again.....) but it won't get to the site. If I open another window to look the game thread it won't be there in that window..but it will still be there in the original window. And copy&pasting it into the new window also doesn't work.
But at the same time I can go to a different game or switch from gameplay to discussion and it will let me post.
I thought it might be because I included a die roll ...but that doesn't seem to be the cause.
It might be that my character is slightly buggy at times and that it works when I switch to another name for posting purposes or that might be coincidence. And sometime the post will make it to the site with a delay but it won't show up for me, but it will be there when I refresh/revisit the tab a minute later
It doesn't seem to be related to the device I'm using to post with.
I have no idea what's going on, but it's starting to drive me slightly nuts.
Just venting (and explaining a bit why I'm sometimes not posting)

Very similar for me at my work computer. I usually have clear the cookies/saved pages out, then close the system. I think it probably deals (here) with the work's anti-virus/malware software. Normally at home I don't have these issues on my home system.

I know it's not technically in the scenario....but I kind of want to try to get this conga line moving through the exit now (and further into the station, getting bigger and bigger and as we go) and hope that the sheer absurdity of it will prevent the bouncers from trying to stop us from leaving.

Hey Charlie, if your plan is to leave with the big conga line. I am fine with that. You can even leave without a conga line and go to your ship leaving the club owner to operate as he was before (also not part of the scenario). But it seems that some of your team members are mentally set up to whoop someone's a*s, and potentially take no prisoners.
So I will leave it up to you!
And as I say before. The scenario states that Bogdin is informed via a spell that you broke into his vault. And he attacks you. And then when you win PC's are portrayed as heroes, stopping the trafficking, where in fact they had no choice. I prefer to let you decide how you want to handle it and own the results of that decision.

Let's just stick to what the scenario expects to happen...I just had this mental picture on a ever growing gonga line getting bigger and bigger eternally moving around and around while floating through space.....
Maybe I just need to eat a snack ;)

LOL. As I said, In this part, I am not sticking to the scenario. As far as I am concern you made the rolls. You can walz off through the front doors, leaving the androids to their fate. Or not. But if not... you need to make it happen.

Will post before I go to bed. Dealing with more than I expected to at 1-4am ><

Ok chaps,
We are heading towards the end of quest 3. Smoky is off for a week in early May. We could do a few things here:
- We keep on playing botting Smoky when we need to
- We pause for a week and wait for Smoky to be back ;)
- We stop the game by saying: 3 out of 4 quests are good enough ( as a result 180 credits less and no Private Vault boon).
I am open to discussions. In May there is PaizoCon which will absorb a lot of attention from few players. I could try to speed up the last quest, as it consists of some skill checks traversing the 'land' and exploration.

![]() |

I was planning on playing in one of the PbPs at PaizoCon, so finishing by the end of May would really be nice.
Since the first part of quest 4 is a bunch of skill checks, I agree that we could easily speed through that by front-loading all the rolls.

![]() |

I can front load any and all skills needed.....
I have most of Smoky's in the paizo page for bonuses and such....
I can also send The DireGM Smoky's character sheet if needed while I am out.

Hey everybody!
Out of character-I'm sorry my posting schedule has been such a disaster this month. Hoping to finish this one out with you all with a stronger posting schedule than once per week. (Real life has been kind of ridiculous.)
Thanks for botting/dragging me along during my absences.

GM Farol |

Ok folks.
With that Charlie's crit, the dragon is no more. That concludes this scenario. I should get to filling in chronicles today or on Monday. If you have any requests what should be put on chronicle like
- +1 for Skittermander
- +1 for some other boon
- Go Broncos!
Let me know!
I would gladly hear some feedback about my GM'ing. I am sorry that the game took a bit longer, but I especially let you 'off the leash' in the club as I found that part to be the centerpiece of the whole scenario. The first two quests are both leading to that part.

GM Farol |

Chronicles are here Let me know if anything is off.
And I reported the game, everything seemed to be ok
