Oaky part 2 has started and we can pass off another aid token!
Here's a link to an over view of aid tokens that have been passed already. We could hold off on passing a token if you want or just give one off now.
(If you are wondering, GM Hawthwile asked for some aid after we decided to pass one to them but before I actually could pass it, so they got quite a few tokens all at once.)

Alright, just a warning. I have something this weekend (Japan time, so late Friday-late Sunday for most of the US) and won't be able to post during most of it. Luckily as this is a special, I have asked DM Deevor to step in and run the table for a little bit. I've played at a table or two of he's and he's a great GM to play with.
Oskar Z. |
Welcome, DM Deevor, and hope you enjoy your weekend, GM Sedoriku.
DM Deevor |
Thanks for the kind words. I will just keep things ticking along on Saturday and Sunday from the UK.
Horatio Phillipton |
Just so we're clear, no one attack the visible leprechaun, and he won't attack us, as long as I spend in action sustaining the spell.
Thanks for sliding in, Deevor. I've enjoyed playing at your tables before.
GM Sedoriku |
Alright, I'm signing off for the next 48 hours or so. Have fun and try not to die. MAUHAHAHAHAHAHA! I'm kidding of course, you have this pretty well in hand
GM Sedoriku |
You guys have quite a few bonuses and boons stacked up:
Course Charted: The party doesn’t have to worry about finding the path and can be on the lookout for danger. At the start of one encounter, the you each gain a +2 circumstance bonus to their initiative rolls.
Shifters Defeated: The PCs are good at avoiding being caught by surprise. For one round of combat, the PCs can’t be made flat-footed.
Plants Cut Down: You can use your experience cutting through plants easily. For 1 round, the party can ignore difficult terrain.
Animals Defeated: At the start of one round of combat, a group of animals rushes into battle to assist. For that round, any character making a melee Strike can treat their target as flanked.
Pathfinders Rescued: With the befuddled Pathfinders protected, they can assist with medical needs. At the end of one encounter, a helpful cleric casts a three-action heal, recovering 2d8 Hit Points.
Gregaro Voth Free: The Thorned Monarch and their forces are weakened by the ritual’s success. The DC of all fey creatures’ abilities in Part 3 are reduced by 1.
Advance Repelled: The PCs are bolstered by defending Voth from the fey onslaught. Each PC begins the encounter in Part 3 with 10 temporary Hit Points.
Additionally, you all still have the bonuses and items from the preparations (minus the survey map, that had to be used in Part 1.) So don't forget you can add a +2 to an attack or skill roll, a +2 to a recall knowledge roll, and have an antiplauge/toxin, a healing potion, and 1 cold iron ammunition.

Welcome back, GM!
Any chance we can put all these benefits on a slide in the maps deck (like you've done with the Aid tokens)? It'll make it easier for us to remember to use them, I think, if we can readily access them.
Also, in that spirit, I suggest we use the Course Charted boon (+2 to init for everyone) for our next encounter.
GM Sedoriku |
Glad to be back.
I've added an overview of the boons you've gotten they are slides 2 and 3. I've also added a map of the next encounter on slide 1, with a box to arrange yourselves in.
GM Hawthwile |
2 people marked this as a favorite. |

I meant to post something here but got distracted by my parents calling.
Regarding Ruby and Max, I saw you moved Ruby on the map. Sadly last turn you only have enough actions to move up to yellow and attack or then move Ruby up. So Yellow would be much healthier and Ruby at your side or she'd stay behind and Yellow would be in the condition it's in now. One suggestion though, Ruby might be more help against the stalker than the small fey that don't have a ton of hit points.

Sorry for making you wait guys. Today was a day to test a new vtt for a game I run every other Saturday and I wasn't able to post during prep and am exhausted and need to go to bed. I'll get chronicles together as soon as I can tomorrow morning!
Zabu "Daggertooth" Creed |
No problem. Thanks for a great game. A day or two for chronicles is no big deal (they can be a lot of work.)
Teja Khellekdottir |
Yes, many thanks for the game. First time down to dying 2 for me.
GM Sedoriku |
First, You guys are awesome and a great group to GM for. Sorry to keep you waiting, it's a busy time of year here with the end of the school year and start of a new one, so sitting down and carving out a chunk of time to make up chronicles was difficult, but they are complete! Please let me know if there seems to be any problems with the information as I've included it. Zabu you seem to have shortchanged yourself a few copper pieces on your Day Job check and Teja yours was a little high, I've included what I think are the right numbers here, but just in case there was a boon or benefit I missed please let me know.
Hope you guys had as much fun playing this as I did running it, and have a good spring/fall where every you may be!
Teja Khellekdottir |
Many thanks. This was a great table to play at.
Oskar Z. |
Thanks again for running - chronicle looks good to me.
I have one question related to the new boon system, which I clearly don't yet fully understand. Our chronicle sheets don't mention any boons, items, etc. all the usual stuff that we are used to from the old chronicles. But when I look at the list of boons available on the paizo website, beneath the section of boons that you can purchase with ACP, there is a section of boons for playing specific scenarios. This one - King in Thorns - mentions a "Spark of Life" boon for 0 cost. But I see no mention of it on the chronicle sheet so I'm confused - should I download a copy of this for Oskar (i.e. did he "earn" it by playing the scenario)? Does playing the scenario with Oskar let me download it for another PC? Or, since it's not mentioned on our chronicles, did we perhaps not earn that particular boon? Can anyone help me make sense of this? Many thanks.
GM Sedoriku |
Yup by playing this scenario you have earned that 'Spark of Life' boon. There's mention that you might have earned some boons on the chronicle, but there's no mention of the title. I hope the campaign staff might start listing the names of boons that characters earn by playing a scenario on that chronicle, but for now you need to check afterwards each time.
You have earned it for Oskar, only, I believe for this game, but you can play this one three times (once each for levels 1-2, 3-6, and 7-8) so more characters could possibly earn it in the future or from running this as a GM.
Oskar Z. |
So when I try to add the boon from this scenario I get an error message saying "That character does not meet the requirements for that boon." Anyone else have the same issue? I'm guessing this just means that maybe the scenario hasn't been reported yet (in which case, please, no hurry!) but if not I'd like to figure out what the issue is.
Horatio Phillipton |
Do all specials not give access to items?
We only have one special to judge on, but at least in 1e, the specials tended not to give items, (and they also usually didn't have stuff like "if the PCs do not defeat, subtract x gp from their treasure"). My guess is that specials always seem to take long, and are run 'til like Midnight or later at GenCon, and they didn't want chronicles to take too long.
My guess is that the scenario hasn't been reported, since this part of the gameday thing.
GM Sedoriku |
I only reported it to the Outpost reporting tool, it may take some time to properly get reported. Just be aware you have access to it. As a GM it's bugged on my end and we have to just keep track of it on our own.
GM Sedoriku |
Unless you guys have anymore questions or concerns, I'll be closing this thread in 24 hours.
Here's hoping you are having/had a great Easter!
