Gab waves his hands. "Okay, okay, okay, see, this has clearly gotten out of hand. You've lost the narrative. Listen, what you want to do is persuade us to join you, ya know? I mean, we'd be valuable assets to your cause ... whatever that is, which I'll admit, is still a little unclear. You've got a messaging problem here, and we can help with that. A couple of us have very solid media expertise. Let me hook you up with Howie, my agent - You'll love Howie, he's a gem - and we'll schedule a lunch, or maybe a latte somewhere."
Bluff, Convincing Liar: 1d20 + 20 ⇒ (12) + 20 = 32
Bluff (adding the expertise): 32 + 1d6 + 2 ⇒ 32 + (3) + 2 = 37
1 RP spent. That'll be a success against a +22 Perception or a CR 11 creature ... *fingers crossed* Probably should have targeted the Philosopher Worm, now that I think about it. Oh, well.
| GM Ilmakis |
@ALL be careful, If Gab make his roll, it's a surprise round and you have only one action (no full round action)
@Gab against who do you do your Bluff? The Vault Lord is not there, there is only an holo projection of them. Clearly not able to participate in combat.
Compucast
|
Haste is only a standard, but energize spell is a move and I need that because I used all my slots earlier. If the surprise round comes off, Compucast will activate his force field in it. Going to need all the hp I can get if this battle is anything like the previous ones. Haste will be his first actual round
Faraeon Star-Jumper
|
If we get the surprise round, I'll use it to draw my neutriad pistol. Then my first round will be the same as posted above.
Gabbers "Gab" McTalkington
|
Ah, I assumed the video screen was some sort of construct or something ... if he's no a target, then I'll aim it at the Philosopher Worm instead.
| GM Ilmakis |
@Gab Sorry, yes, there is some sort of construct that "come to life" taking the shape of the Vault Lord. You can target that thing if you want.
Gabbers "Gab" McTalkington
|
Yes, I'll direct it at the construct.

Gab’s Fast Talk against the golem has failed! No surprise round!

Ashuer misses the Golem, despite its massive frame - his shot destroys a bunch of falling debris instead!
Benoit’s drone lands a massive shock to the red equinoxian periastra - but it seems it’s still doing just fine! The arc lands square on Gab!
Benoit’s discoveries:
Once per day as a full action, the robot can regain 6d8 Hit Points.
He also has an ability that allows him to ignore concealment and the diversion task of the Bluff skill, against one target.
The golem is quickly falling apart and can barely move. It loses 35 HP each round at the end of its turn.
He's also mindless and unliving.
The golem’s strikes infuse the target with crippling self-doubt, dealing Charisma drain (Will save negates). If this drain reduces the target to 0 Charisma, the creature remains conscious and is dominated, as the Dominate Person spell, ignoring type and immunities.
Vradak stands up, raising one arm to the north and other to the south - immediately the magitech devices on each end of the stadium start glowing with power - and so does the golem!
He finishes his turn by also casting Haste on himself, the robot and the equinoxian periastras!

TEC-9's KAC is 24, but the attack still hits. The coordinated shot bonus is applied to red so everyone's ranged attacks on it get an extra +1 to the roll.
TEC-9's battle computer locks on to the periastra right in front of it and the combat drone's disintegrator cannon unleashes a stream of disruptive energy at it.
Disintegrator Cannon + Miracle Worker + Coordinated Shot vs. Red EAC: 1d20 + 11 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 11 + 2 + 1 = 23
Acid Damage: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (17) + 10 = 27
If red is already down TEC-9 will fire on the golem. The disintegrator cannon is a line weapon, but I assume the golem is so big that TEC-9 is shooting over Faraeon's head. The coordinated shot bonus would not apply to TEC-9's attack on the golem.

Pan’s charisma falls through the floor, drained by the slightly better looking golem!
I should have said earlier that Benoit shares all he knows about the golem and the assassin robot over comms.
Compucast’s arcing surge traverses through the vault lord golem without causing any damage at all! His magic immunity protects him entirely!
Blue Equinoxian Periastra’s reflex DC 20: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (16) + 11 = 27
And the blue equinoxian periastra suffers only half of the punishment!
Faraeon keeps floating up away from danger, but his attack is also unable to pierce the golem’s thick armor! The ceiling goes up to 50 ft.! Watch your head!
The Vault Lord Golem moves and attacks Compucast! 15 ft. reach! But you aren’t affected by his aura from that up high
Slam vs. Compucast’s KAC 26: 1d20 + 22 ⇒ (20) + 22 = 42
Bludgeoning damage against DR6: 2d10 + 18 - 6 ⇒ (5, 7) + 18 - 6 = 24
Critical bludgeoning damage against DR6: 2d10 + 18 - 6 ⇒ (7, 4) + 18 - 6 = 23
Charisma drain and 1 round of off-kilter: 1d8 ⇒ 8
The golem destroys Compucast’s temporary hit points and lands a total of 37 damage, knocking him prone on the floor! And possibly causing 8 drain to his Charisma! Will DC 17 to negate the charisma drain and the off-kilter condition Parts of the construct keep falling down, in flames, all around his huge body.
The blue equinoxian periastra moves to the south for a clear shot and full attacks Benoit with gravity!
Focus fire: roll twice and take the better result!
Graviton crush vs. Benoit’s EAC 24 attack 1 option 1: 1d20 + 19 - 3 ⇒ (19) + 19 - 3 = 35
Graviton crush vs. Benoit’s EAC 24 attack 1 option 2: 1d20 + 19 - 3 ⇒ (11) + 19 - 3 = 27
Bludgeoning damage: 5d4 + 9 ⇒ (4, 3, 1, 3, 4) + 9 = 24
Graviton crush vs. Benoit’s EAC 24 attack 2 option 1: 1d20 + 19 - 3 ⇒ (9) + 19 - 3 = 25
Graviton crush vs. Benoit’s EAC 24 attack 2 option 2: 1d20 + 19 - 3 ⇒ (2) + 19 - 3 = 18
Bludgeoning damage: 5d4 + 9 ⇒ (2, 1, 3, 1, 4) + 9 = 20
Benoit feels his bones caving in! He also needs to roll a DC 16 Fortitude saving throw or be entangled!
Bolded PCs may go!

Oh yeah, I did.
Fortitude Save: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (3) + 11 = 14
Is blue's entanglement affect considered a spell like ability? Because if it is than Benoit gets a +2 bonus to his save which allows him to succeed on the check.
Benoit's energy shield is obliterated by the assassin robot's attack and then he is crushed by the periastra's attack.
"Your going to need to do better than that to take me down. Now it's TEC-9's and my turn."
Benoit, moves in so he can strike both the robot and the periastra.
TEC-9's colossus coil unleashes two streams of electricity at the assassin robot. TEC-9, spends its last resolve point to full attack with only a -4 penalty.
Colossus Coil + Miracle Worker + Coordinated Shot vs. Robot EAC: 1d20 + 11 + 2 + 1 - 4 ⇒ (12) + 11 + 2 + 1 - 4 = 22
Electricity Damage: 3d8 + 10 + 2 ⇒ (8, 3, 5) + 10 + 2 = 28
Concealment Miss Chance: 1d100 ⇒ 69
Colossus Coil + Miracle Worker + Coordinated Shot vs. Robot EAC: 1d20 + 11 + 2 + 1 - 4 ⇒ (8) + 11 + 2 + 1 - 4 = 18
Electricity Damage: 3d8 + 10 + 2 ⇒ (8, 1, 5) + 10 + 2 = 26
Concealment Miss Chance: 1d100 ⇒ 31
Benoit, follows up his combat drone's attack by stabbing his nova lance twice at the spot where he knows the invisible robot is.
Nova Lance - Entangled vs. Robot EAC: 1d20 + 13 - 2 - 4 ⇒ (4) + 13 - 2 - 4 = 11
Electricity/Fire Damage: 3d4 + 14 ⇒ (4, 3, 2) + 14 = 23
Concealment Miss Chance: 1d100 ⇒ 78
Nova Lance - Entangled vs. Robot EAC: 1d20 + 13 - 2 - 4 ⇒ (17) + 13 - 2 - 4 = 24
Electricity/Fire Damage: 3d4 + 14 ⇒ (1, 3, 2) + 14 = 20
Concealment Miss Chance: 1d100 ⇒ 95
The coordinated shot bonus is now applied to the robot and Vradak. If Benoit succeeded on his fortitude save his two attack rolls are 13 and 26 instead of 11 and 24. He'll also move farther than 15' feet.

Benoit, could use an inspiring boost from Gab.
Ashuer, if you can make the robot flat footed it might make the difference between Benoit's and TEC-9's attacks hitting or missing. If Ashuer is at 20' elevation can the golem reach him for an AOO?
I was rereading the rules for a creature with a 15' reach and Benoit can move without provoking an AOO if I'm reading this properly.
diagonal (this is an exception to the normal rule for calculating
distance along a diagonal; see Diagonals on page 256 for more
information). If your reach is anything other than 10 feet,
calculate the diagonal distance of your reach normally.

Compucasts resists having (one of) his dump ability scores drained!
Is blue's entanglement effect considered a spell like ability? Because if it is than Benoit gets a +2 bonus to his save which allows him to succeed on the check.
No such luck - it’s a supernatural ability (Su)!
Benoit falls prey to the graviton crush and is entangled! You can attempt a new Fortitude save once per round as a move action to get rid of it
TEC-9 misses one attack against the robot due to the invisibility, but the other one is extra effective! Benoit also misses one attack, but due to poor aim, and the half of the other one is extra effective!
If Ashuer is at 20' elevation can the golem reach him for an AOO?
Creatures with reach 10 ft. or reach 15 ft. can equally threaten two squares in diagonal from them - in this case Ashuer is flying 5 ft. higher than the golem and 10 ft. away from it, being exactly at the limit of the creature’s reach. He would need a guarded step back to escape an attack of opportunity.
On the other hand, the creature already took an AoO against Pan this round, perhaps it doesn’t have a second one to deliver..

If hit, the golem is flat-footed to all
| GM The Ragi |
Ashuer flees from the golem, but also fails to pierce its mighty armor! It can be done, nobody rolled high enough to accomplish yet
Gab spends a resolve point and uses his Inspiring Oration to recover 35 stamina points of all injured allies! (Pan, Faraeon, Compucast and Benoit)
Vradak commands his allies to Strike immediately! The assassin robot slashes at Benoit, while the blue equinoxian periastra throws a ball of superheated plasma at Gab!
Microserrated longsword vs. Benoit’s KAC 27: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (10) + 18 = 28 Slashing damage: 2d10 + 13 ⇒ (2, 1) + 13 = 16

The assassin robot invisibility was broken with the last attack, but it resumed this round. The construct doesn’t attack this time, though! Benoit has no idea where it might have gone!
