As the Jistka Imperium decayed from within, its artificers and elementalists struggled to repel invaders from Osirion to the east. To channel their elemental power, the spellcasters constructed the mighty Citadel of the Weary Sky, but so much energy attracted a mighty fiend that crushed the tower. The Pathfinder Society knows that many of the mages escaped, but only recently and with the help of a new ally did it learn where they fled. Now the PCs set off for a forgotten Jistkan sanctuary where otherworldly forces now reign.

Stare statistics on Red: -3 to will saves, -3 to attacks (-5 to attack Xen), -3 to SR and DCs of its spells and spell like abilities, gains bleed 3 but I bet that does not work, its speed is reduced by 5', and must make a will save DC22 or be sickened by pain, but I bet that does not work as well. That is correct. Xen's ability removes undead from the list of types she can't target, but does not otherwise overcome their immunities. It's still a good debuff without demoralize.

Vincenzo throws a barrage of bombs at the spellcaster, which dissipates back into the mist.

Flavor, not relevant to scenario:
Kalvanon is the ghost of one of the senior Jistkan elementalists, who was cast into the chasm when her home was invaded. She will be back in 2d4 days, but if you are still here that long, something has gone very wrong.

Kitajo, still bleeding, makes another flurry of blows at the Blue spirit who, noticing the defeat of its master, retreats into the chasm.

If you want to take one more action against Red, you can, but if it survives to its turn, it will also flee, so combat is effectively over.

Now that the threat is over, you can explore more thoroughly. Vanzetti will escort the wounded Kitajo back to the entrance. There is a gap in the wall of the keep to the south as well as two platforms you have not reached over the chasm.

This massive chasm has a grand domed ceiling studded with stalactites, barely visible within the multitude of colors racing across the surface. The entire cavern mirrors both the outside weather, including clouds, and the skyline to the horizon. This skyline is interrupted in jagged pieces where chunks of rock have fallen from the ceiling. The bottom of the chasm is lost in darkness.

There is nothing on the platforms other than the runes and buttons already described. Each button can be operated with a DC 15 Intelligence or DC 20 Use Magic Device check. There are no handy labels this time.

Please finish healing and place yourselves before touching them, and do so one at a time.

Top Button, Left Platform:
The platform shakes wildly.
Each character standing on the platform must make a DC 18 Reflex save or be knocked prone. If a character fails and is adjacent to an edge, they are instead thrown off the platform.

Bottom Button, Left Platform:
Everyone on this platform is safely teleported back to the room with the blue platform.

Top Button, Center Platform:
The platform shakes wildly.
Each character standing on the platform must make a DC 18 Reflex save or be knocked prone. If a character fails and is adjacent to an edge, they are instead thrown off the platform.

Bottom Button, Center Platform:
Everyone on this platform is safely teleported back to the room with the blue platform.

Top Button, Right Platform:
The platform moves adjacent to the gap in the wall to the south.

Bottom Button, Right Platform:
Everyone on the platform transports to a previously unrevealed area. Please wait.

I have a potion that would let me fly for a few minutes. But it might be worth figuring out the buttons if we can get it to move all of us at once. Makes it easier on whoever they send to investigate after we clear the place out.

Vincenzo drinks his dexterity mutagen, which has the side effect of making his teeth and claws grow and become more dangerous looking. He then drinks an infusion of fly, which causes tiny red wings to sprout from his shoulder blades. He waits for Sukit to be healed, and then begins investigating the controls, starting on the left side of the room.
