A shirrin senior starfinder has tasked you with entertaining a foreign diplomat for a day. While far from the solar exploring you are used to, this task is important to the society.
So, first part of the discussion thread:
I like fun, silly, wink-at-the-camera kinda stuff, and this scenario allows for some of that. However, I recognize some other people don't like that and opt for a more serious playstyle. Nothing against that, no judgements here.
So, For each person I'll leave it up to a vote:
Do you want this game to go:
Not silly,
a little bit silly,
or silly?
This will not effect the scenario (i.e. everything will be mechanically allowable in the scenario, you'll still get chronicle sheets if you complete it yadda yadda.) I just want to know how tongue-in-cheek pop/ culture reference-ey you want your dignitary to be.
That's more reasonable, and I'm good with that. Considering we have an android named Seven of Eleven along, and my character's name is also a really convoluted reference, we have no standing to complain.
I am prepared to go full-on silly, but can tone it down a bit. (And, I suppose I should warn, ALL of my jokes are, by definition, "dad jokes".)
As for Morvruul, he is a self-styled criminal mastermind, who is also inept. He has an affinity for monologuing (both internal and external) and has been known to break out in fits on maniacal laughter.

Man I JUST GMed for a person who had an inept mad scientist as a biohacker. She couldn't stop herself from maniacal laughing. What are the odds?
I've placed you all on the map (Slide 2) along with Beauregard. If you have problems with where you've been placed, move your pawn now. Also, I need EVERYONE to make those perception checks, so if you haven't made them yet, please do so.
These objects are so large and bulky that they don’t fit well in your backpacks without crushing them, these are basically giant shopping bags. Sounds like everyone takes one except for novaflame which takes two? Is that correct? Remember, each package/shopping bag takes 1 hand.

Demoralize: The DC of this check is equal to either 10 + your opponent’s total Intimidate skill bonus, or 15 + 1-1/2 × the opponent’s CR, whichever is greater. If you succeed, the target is shaken for 1 round.
The duration increases by 1 round for every 5 by which the result of your check exceeds the DC.
Sorry for the delay. Fami!y is quarantined and I tested positive Sunday, so will be home for the holidays.
Ditto, hope you and your family are okay! I guess, small silver lining, you get to spend Christmas with each other, I can't see my folks for Christmas except over zoom.

And besides the ysoki is a biologic, and biologic's are interior to the rule of machines....;o)
Guys, guys. Combat’s over. No need for players to start fights over the actions of your characters. We’re half done with this scenario, let’s just move on, okay?
Whoa, that is one fast scenario! Thanks for running Vamp!
Well, you avoided 2 fights. There is supposed to be a fight on the cruise (won’t ruin it for you if you if you run this again) and you also diffused the possible fight at the bar
Thanks for running! Did you want the usual set of character info and day job rolls? If so:
Player name: John Woodford
Character name: Talltree
OP#: 67750-704
Slotted faction: Second Seekers (Roheas)
Day job roll: [dice=Profession (archaeologist)]1d20 + 8
I’m a pretty chill guy, I let people take care of their own day jobs. I mean, if you are cheating on day job checks for a fictional sci-fi fantasy game than really, what are you doing with your life?
Hey guys, something to remember if you are a character with a profession check trained. You can buy a “Profession kit” for 20 credits and “Professional’s clothing” for 5. Kit gives you a +4 untyped bonus to a profession check, and the clothes give you a further +1 to earn a living with one specific profession. That can add up to a +5 for day job checks. Basically pays for itself in three sessions. Just something to think about, all of my characters grab them.
