Ziyass gives up on the western wall and follows Ven, but tries to stay more centrally located to make it easy to see threats. She is worried about Threzlomn who seems to continually try to get into dangerous situations away from the rest of the group. LOL

GM Wolffauer |

Okay, lets see if I've got this all: Ven and Ziyass are exploring to the west; Threzlomn is looping around the central column/console detecting magic; Gil, Gunnz and Jim are working on one of the small consoles to try and open the outer hatch; and finally Buster (and Buddy) are investigating the bodies.
To the south west of the central column is another power grid - though thankfully free of bodies. The layout here is the mirror image of the eastern side, with corridors leading around on the northern and southeastern sides.
As Threzlomn moves around the central column, he spies another body lying prone to the west. There is another control terminal there, as well as a small pillar. He spies something at the end of the corridor, but isn't sure what it is. His scans for magic find nothing unusual about the central column. The constant activity on the display within the column is almost mesmerizing.
Gunnz and Jim lend Gil-Oloth a hand to try and open the outer hatch, but the system proves to be very difficult to operate.
Buster rolls up to the bodies and begins examining them with the help of Buddy. As they begin two slimes come out of hiding intent on protecting their snacks.

Partner Bond: A dragonkin can form a permanent bond with one willing non-dragonkin creature. Once this bond is made, a dragonkin cannot form another partner bond unless its current partner dies. A dragonkin and its partner can communicate with each other as if they both had telepathy with a range of 100 feet. In combat, when a dragonkin is within 30 feet of its partner, both creatures roll initiative checks separately and treat the higher result as the result for both of them.
Ven whips his head around to view the new hostile element. He grunts and squeezes his way back to the other side to protect his allies. He then adopts a readied posture and awaits the actions of his new enemies.
At the start of my turn I get an entropy point. As a part of the move action, I spend an entropy point to increase my speed by 10ft. I assume that every square will involve me squeezing, so 40ft to get to my current location. Standard action to ready an attack if a creature comes within his 15ft reach. Gil-Oloth recognized them as scavenger slimes. These sightless oozes have an intuitive understanding of technological systems and often incorporate weapons they find into their bodies. They have an outer shell made up of a various trash held together with a dense resin. In game terms, this gives them DR 5/adamantine, and energy resistance 10 to one type of energy (can be different from slime to slime) They are incredibly stealthy when they want to be, and are very protective of their "treasures".

Gil-Oloth, you needed the re-roll and aid to hit the DC (one downside of playing up I afraid).
Gil-Oloth studies and starts working with the central console. You quickly realize that you can interact with it like a touch screen. While the programming language is strange and the data indecipherable, you believe you can affect one of the tekenki's major functions. Hitting the DC 40 allows you to do one of the following: Open the hatch, shut down the laser grid(s), shut off one power grid, or shut off another subsystem you don't recognize
Threz having previously scanned the area around the central console, begins scanning around the power grid to the south east. The thick conductors inside serve to block his efforts, but he does seem to be able to somewhat penetrate the wall surrounding the grid. From this angle he does not detect anything.

Threzolmn tries to stay as far away from the lightening generators as possible as he scans through them, clearly seeing that there is a metal wall in the way of the furthest reaches of the area. He also then moves down the way that the slimes came from, curious is there is anything further to see in the back passages.
Green line shows his movement.
If he finds nothing, then the dwarf tries the same thing on the other side, though this time ready to rush back at the first sign of something deadly.

As Threzlomn move to the back of the power grid, he a space behind it. This dark alcove contains a single overbearing feature: a rounded tank that stretches from the floor to the ceiling. Bright green liquid sloshes about in the tank as the tekenki sways, causing the vessel’s strangely inscribed metal frame to creak and groan. In the middle of the tank, a suspended, pulsing biological mass hangs, ragged tendrils of tubing and flesh dangling from it like vestigial tails.

"Ugh" says Gunnz.
"Is that ...thing.. what "runs" this whole creature?" she asks, peering over the shoulder of Threzlomn.
"Brain in a jar... sounds like a b-grade horror movie."

Still not able to hear a thing, Threz looks over at Gunnz moving her mouth around and shrugs. He then moves in a little closer to examine the thing. He also takes one last look down that little bit of hallway he hasn't seen yet. Maybe, just maybe the relics were over there?

The last bit of hallway is clear of threats and relics.
