Rosanne is thinking that taking out Fipps & Jape down here in the crew hold, followed by going after Scourge & Plugg. That leaves plenty of crew but takes out the leaders and their most devoted lackeys.

She doesn't think killing some and leaving Plugg & Scourge alive will work. It would have to be all or nothing.


Fipps got promoted to the new Master at Arms so he sleeps in the Officer's Quarters with Scourge and Conchobar (where Sandara and Rosie also sleep).

So who is in the crew quarters that would raise the alarm if we were to start a mutiny?


There are 4 hostile crew that could do that. Ratline, Jape, Maheem and Aretta.


So far Rosanne wants to do something now.

Torgal only wants Plugg and Scourge dead.

Jacques wants more time to alter attitudes but also is ok with Rosanne's plan.

Tobias hasn't added input. It would be good to do so.

Shall I continue to the next day or do you all want to begin a mutiny this night?

Tobias is all for the mutiny, but I think it should happen tomorrow to give our allied spellcasters time to power back up.

I'm thinking Jacques might try to start something with Fipps today, which will probably lead to a punishment but it will give us a rallying point for us to start the mutiny. Is that a bad idea? With the storm coming, I imagine Plugg won't want to waste too much time before he forces everyone back to work with no breaks.


The plan was to start the mutiny sometime today (day 3) after all your allies are apprised of the plan.

Is everyone ok with Jacques starting it off?

Is that area between Jape and us walkable?


Yes. It's a couple hatches that can open to allow cargo to be hoisted up and down usually.

I didn't read the map right-- I thought Jacques was originally standing in front of an open door and that the door to the north was still closed, plus I didn't see the walls north and south of there. It's okay, I've adjusted. And thanks for the reminder about roll20!

Apologies for the quiet - I wanted to give Jacques a chance to respond to Torgal’s actions before moving on.


I really hate inter-party conflict, especially when it’s so unnecessary. Torgal would rather protect Plugg and Scourge’s corpses from Jacques than do anything else? After I made it clear that it was a major character goal of his? It really sours my enthusiasm for the game. Why?

That's very fair. I didn't realize that I (as a player) have a strong boundary on the subject, and I didn't research fellow characters well enough when applying as a replacement. My apologies.

So! I'll make Torgal's stuff an alcohol-fueled vision so Jacques can do what he needs to do before we move on with the scene. I certainly don't want to ruin anyone's fun, but I'm afraid any of my characters would always be a wet blanket at best about Jacques' necromantic arts. If we're headed towards a harbor, that's a natural spot for Torgal to leave the party and for the table to find a replacement player.

Again, my apologies for not doing my due diligence when applying as a replacement for this table.

I am sorry to say that I am. I don't want to ruin someone else's fun, but I won't have fun at a table where that style of play is employed - so it's best for me to step out and let the rest of y'all continue.

Maybe at port though - though I suppose there would be something fitting with Torgal arriving from the sea and returning to it like a loud drunken ghost. XD

I'd say it's easy to see a schism in the group. Jacques & Rosanne are a lot more ruthless & murderous than Torgal & Tobias.

If Tobias doesn't return & Torgal has left then two new recruits when we dock would work. As long as it's clear the campaign is more on the chaotic & nasty side to the fresh meat. :)

And I would imagine there will be players chomping at the bit for a darker campaign. Advertise it as such, and I’d bet there’ll be a good selection of folks. I’d be happy to recommend some folks from Hell’s Vengeance and Serpent’s Rise games I was part of.

Rosanne is all in favor of finding their friends, and extracting some revenge as well.

If Torgal is out perhaps now is a good time for a new player?

We leave Torgal to keep an eye on the ship and our new player has recently been shipwrecked or marooned on the island?

Ok I got a little distracted, I think we should get a 4th to wash up on the island from the same storm that stranded you. I will make a post in recruitment and see if anyone is interested.
