"I can empathize with your position...umm sir, but the festival comes but once a year. Can you not take exception to your woes for the joy of others for but a short time...possibly take measures to lessen your impending seasonal troubles? Maybe we can take a look at your den and find ways to pad it against auditory assailment. Or perhaps we can find a craftsman who can make a custom set of Earplugs that would fit you. Maybe then, you could even learn to enjoy the festivities in your muffled state!"

Kyra just sighs. Normally so proficient at diplomatic relations, her words have seemed to utterly fail her this day. She throws her arms up in exasperation,

"Well if you must have it that way, then fine...just go then!"

She starts gathering up as much of the fireworks as she can reasonably hold without them dropping all over the place. She then turns and heads back in the direction of the warehouse. She takes a few steps and then stops, trying one more time to reason with the drake.

"It's a pity you are so obstinate as to not show how advanced a creature you really are. All you have to do is gather up a share and help us return these back to their proper place. Take those first steps with us. Find a way to abide with the seasonal celebrations, and retain the abode you have built for yourself. All it takes are those first steps..."

She lowers her head, shaking it in defeat and then continues on her way with the bundle of the fireworks.

The drake actually jumps when Amira smacks the crate with the sword.

And he does. With his help, you are able to retrieve all the fireworks in record time and return . He gives you each a pouch of coins for their trouble as well as a dwarven daisy to enjoy the holiday.

Amenopheus concocts a plan to ease the drake’s suffering. Early in the morning, before the Evoking Day festivities begin, Amenopheus is able to relocate the drake and his mephit friend, who actually managed to come back from near death, thanks to Kyra's "just in time" stablization, to a new lair in the western part of the Crimson Canal and move the festivities to the Palms in eastern Sothis. The relocation does wonders for Ahrkinos, who is able to sleep peacefully through the entirety of Evoking Day for the first time since his arrival in Sothis.
