Er... I'm not sure. Considering a Belt of Physical Might (Dex/Con)
Did we still need a spellbook to share out, or is that a moot point with only a pregen wizard in the group?

Venture Teller Play b'Post |

We only had one wizard sign up, but if you have a spellbook to share please let us know. To that end, Ethelner. If you would rather play an in-tier character of your own feel free to make the switch.
We are missing two folks still. I sent an email so hopefully they will join us soon.
I have provided a link to our slides which will be used for maps and handouts.
These slides will be what I use to communicate if Paizo should be unreachable.
Please don't forget to post in Gameplay so the campaigns will show up.

I had thought to buy one maybe, but I'm not sure what I would do with it other than share it out. My rogue can UMD wands and scrolls, but I don't think she can actually use a spellbook. XD
I tried to add the token, but the slides are set for view only right now.

Venture Teller Play b'Post |

Arrrghhh! Sorry, about the slides.
I may not be able to fix them until this evening (15+ hours from this post)
A non-caster with a spellbook can improve their chances of having a particular spell available in any given scenario. But because of UMD, wands or scrolls do it better. But I have seen many rogues carry one for the novelty loot :)

![]() |

Thanks for the invitation and your email. I will out the details ASAP/ latest tomorrow!

![]() |

It is not a problem for me playing Exren. I think that I have an Inquisitor7 and a Swashbuckler7, and also a Barbarian/Rogue6 and something else, but Ezren fits it.
I don`t understand very well the two action issue and I found link about it. May anyone help me?

![]() |

That being said:
This 'two actions' is just my attempt to keep the PbP moving. Especially at the beginning, many folks are afraid of squashing other folks fun and the game can stall. See the story of the 'door' linked in VT's profile if you have never seen it before.

Venture Teller Play b'Post |

Ahhh....
The first action: gather information, research and ask questions.
The second action: meeting with the Kerisa Starsight.
The scenario assumes you will meet with her (to get the mission assignment) but allows players to do other stuff first. At a table I could look around the room and ask if anyone has questions (action 1). No? Ok moving on (to action 2). In PbP as much as 24 hours passes between my asking the question and someone else answering. If everyone answered 'No questions' in that 24 hours I could then move on to which there would be another 24 hours for everyone to respond. That is literally two days doing nothing but waiting.
By the way, my expectation from player's is to post at least once a day (hence 24 hours). In reality it can be much longer and two days of people waiting for other people's action can kill a PbP.
That feels overly complicated when I explain it. Does that make sense? If not read Painlord's guide to Advanced PbP play (linked in my profile). Especially find the story about doors.
Perhaps someone else knows what I mean and can explain it better? I need to post earlier (and get more sleep :)

![]() |

Ok GM, thanks!!
I agree with you delay is poison in PbP.
I had read Painlord's guide but a lot of time ago, I have to read it again :D

I vote for Vayn.

![]() |

vote for vayn as well

![]() |

I don't understand the voting. We have to go talk to Vayn to gain access to both him and his enslaved genie.
If you are voting to influence Vayn vs freeing the genie, I'd like to point out, We don't have the rare booze item that would help win Vayn's aid. That may mean freeing the genie is our only path to success, unless one of you rare, former slaves wants to go back under the yoke? I'd be ok with attempting a ruse maybe, but we'll have to see what we're up against first.

![]() |

I understand that VC suggests freeing the efreeti.
First, we have to talk with Vayn.
Later ... we will see.

Venture Teller Play b'Post |

How tall is the efreeti compared to Khugron?
Almost double even Khugron's considerable height. On average an efreet is 12" tall. This one is at the high end of average.

Venture Teller Play b'Post |

@Marduk: what is a wildling? I am not finding it on Nethys. It is in the place I expect class to be, but that is not what your profile says. I do not think it matters, for this exchange, but it might. >:)

![]() |

Haha a wildling is how I describe my character and how other characters may percieve her (a wildling fighting with a big strange axe). Marduk is ranger5/barbarian2 in terms of class levels :)
You can find it on her sheet/paizo profile.

Thanks, that is what I guessed. :) I saw the profile had ranger barbarian & just wanted to make sure Wildling was not a special archetype of prestige class (because a certain powerful man has a predilection for special things. :) Oh well I guess he will treat you as the 'boring wildling' you are ;)

Venture Teller Play b'Post |

Fun fact, for simplicity lunar month and calendar month are the same thing on Golarion. :)

![]() |

I want to free this creature. I have curiosity!!
XDDD

![]() |

Two votes.
Perhaps we may get him to agree not slaving people ...

![]() |

So two for working with the human and two for freeing the eefrit?

Venture Teller Play b'Post |

A'Yup. Looks that way. How you decide will determine the next session. No pressure, but a decision is needed. :)
Please list your top choice, (of the three, unless you have a fourth...?) as well as which might be a soft choice. It will then be easier to focus the discussion in one direction or another.
It is not meant to be easy. As I said it affects the next part of the scenario. It also affects the chronicle's boons. None are bad per se, but I just thought it might be nice to know the decision will have 'future' ramifications. :)

![]() |

I'm a bit lost. We're six players and I'd like to recap the votes.
If I can sum this up:
Ezren and Kughron want to free the efreeti, and Arkolo as well ?
Dana and Marduk want to work with Vayne, possibly completing a favor for him.
Kishara may want to complete a favor from Vayne, but I didn't quite get your stance on the matter.

![]() |

Okay. I will use my ‘confirmation scenario - explore, cooperate, report’ boon that allows to ask if choosing to work for Corvius has any effect on the secondary success condition.
Would like to know what the consequences are of the working with Corvius.

![]() |

I think Dana made a strong point against freeing the efreeti. He backed the point up himself when he brought up that he is immortal. When comparing the potential harm that can be done by our favor to Vayn vs the potential harm the efreeti can do over an immortal lifetime, Kishara can definitely see that helping Vayn is the lesser of two evils.
Also the efreet are legendary for twisting words and wishes out of context, so I don't believe you can get him to "promise to be good" and rely on him to stick to that, even though they are lawful. Also we could theoretically go back on our word later or choose to complete his mission our own way.
So first choice: Owe Vayn a favor
Second: Dana and Khugron serve the month
Third: Free the genie

![]() |

first choice: Free genie
Second: Dana and Khugron serve the month
Third: favor

In five words:
boon may affect new-edition story.
I took a little extra leeway here, but since PbP lacks face to face conversation & all its non-verbal nuances, I think I might have been able to make more of this clear at a table. This way I can give you an 'excellent sense of what makes an exemplary Pathfinder.' :)

![]() |

Thanks GM! Everyone please feel free to read the spoiler.
first choice: owe Vayne a favor

1 person marked this as a favorite. |

Im not really fussed either way. They are all horrible options :P
I'll go with the "Owe Vayne a Favour" crew which makes 4 votes for that option and let's us continue.
