The repeated thuds of Arkolo's arrows and the hissing flames of Ezren's spell add to the damage of the other's and the creature dies.
A brief moment later the water gets sucked out of cave dragging the body back out to sea.
brought these powerful orbs with them to control the beasts of the sea and use them as personal guardians. Though most of the orbs were lost or stolen during the ensuing violence with the Arclords of Nex, the few that remained turned into collector’s items, strongly desired by the merchant princes of Qadira. The octopus could have been controlled with it instead of killing it.
With that the Pathfinders are the only remaining people on the island.
Returning to their landing site. A small dock offers several cleats and mooring poles for docking smaller boats, such as fishing vessels and very small single mast ships. A large sloop, configured for hauling cargo, is anchored near the dock. A large pile of lumber peaks out from a tarp, just past the tree line. Several storage sheds dot the area, most of them looking poorly built or neglected.
With the help of Kaborghia they find a small mound of earth in the woods. Buried two feet deep is a sack with dozens of stone chips, each engraved with the name of a dead slave.
The Pathfinders sloop is still present, they can sail back to their waiting vessel. The Waveriders Revenge, Jirandiel's ship also sits off-shore.
Anything else before leaving the island? The trip is two days so if anyone wanted to copy spells from the pirate's book or formulas from the alchemist, please say so :)

Copy spells with a pregen ... :/

![]() |

Dana is glad that the mission is almost over.
"What now? Do we take the ship?"

![]() |

I honestly don't remember finding an orb... Ah well.
With the rescued pathfinders, the tokens for those they could not save in time, and Phlegos in hand, Kishara nodded to Dana's question. "It is time to carry our brethren home. We'll have to keep the betrayer here under guard though." She said with a glance toward his surviving victims. "The Decemvirate needs him alive." She said within their hearing, hoping they will not try to harm him on the journey home out of revenge.

![]() |

Yes, we have to go home. With the stone chips of our dead partners. I hope to bring some justice for them and our traitor friend. Justice for all.

![]() |

”Perhaps we could take both vessels somehow? I’m sure the Decemvirate would appreciate another good wave riding ship. It’s not like anyone else has a use for it”
I think? Or have I mixed that up somehow?”

![]() |

Marduk nods profusely.
"Yes. Back on true solid ground."

![]() |

"Keep alive, got it." Khugron said, double checking the fetters and gag on the prisoner to make sure he was not going anywhere.

The Pathdinders can travel out to the Waverider’s Revenge to take it from the pirates. The clipper only has a handful of inexperienced crew members onboard and doesn’t pose a challenge; they can easily intimidate the crew into sailing the ship back to Sedeq.
Taking the pirate's ship is actually a reporting point, and may be relevant in future scenarios.
With Jirandiel Waverider and her vicious crew defeated, the shipping lanes between Jalmeray and Absalom are once again safe to sail.
The Pathfinders were able to rescue Kaborghia, he is much more coherent after a few days of rest and nourishment. However, he still refuses to talk about the Venicaan College tablets he found, insisting he’ll only speak with Ambrus Valsin, though a disturbing glimmer dances in his eyes.
Since the party captured Phlegos Dulm, Karisa showers accolades on the Pathfinders, “The Decemvirate will be quite impressed with you, and pleased to deal with this traitor themselves. I have a few questions for him regarding those missing Pathfinder agents, too.”

![]() |

Dana nods.
“Thank you for trusting us with this mission! I have to thank these companions for their support when I put my own fears and goals in front of this mission but I am glad that essentially we succeeded!“ and she looks at all of you.
“I just hope that these memories of freedom are not going to fade away as many others that I cherished ...“

![]() |

Ezren smiles.
I am proud of calling partners, even more brothers in arms, friends. I hope that fate would join us again in the future.

![]() |

Marduk grunts in approval.
"Yes. Twas a fun journey."

![]() |

"Yes, you all do the name of Pathfinder proud. And Khugron, the poncho barely helped at all! Shall I send you the dry cleaning bill? Blood is notoriously hard to get out of linen." She said with a jovial smirk and held up her collar where it was stained.
Is that it then? We're all done?

Venture Teller Play b'Post |

Aye, unless you want to add something else?
The hype getting Corvius to give you information takes a lot of time (especially in PbP). And I think a spot trapper flattens the curve on the CR of those threat (but so to bec d corbins & orc double axes). Both of those led to a bit of an anti-climactic finish.
When I played the we identified the orb and someon commanded the cephalopod to flee, which was even less climactic. :) I was kind of surprised while prepping that I had already played this scenario. I hope you will have a better memory of it. :)
