"I wonder if I can put an arrow through her eye?" wonders Bron as he unslings his bow.
"Does Groetus actually answer prayers? Do you derive power frm him? I've always thought he was a relatively distant god," asks Bron.

"My friend here brings up an excellent point. How does Groteus communicate with you? He IS usually a bit quiet with his followers. I really want to know from a theological point..."
diplo: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 5 = 14
Heh, looks like Rout is leading the pack with our diplomatic discussions. :)

DoubleGold |

Typo, I said Diplomacy I meant Deception. Hey they both start with D. So you can all reroll, but only Deception, unless you have a feat that allows you to roll diplomacy or initimate in place of Deception.
If you want to know how Groteus communicates with me, you should become members, you can learn first hand experience. Who wants to become Groteus Chosen? If you beat the DC 18 Deception check, you can gain a +4 to your init roll, or you can go with her upstairs. Going with her upstairs means neither her nor you participate in any combat, and she surrenders if they die and she is upstairs. Her Little Zura's (animals, they look like Frogs with Tusks.) participate in Combat. You only see one Zura right now and they participate in combat even if she doesn't.
Init Prememptively rolling init for when combat starts, so we can get this game done by Friday.
init: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (19) + 8 = 27 Her
init: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (14) + 5 = 19 Any and all Zura(S)

If that's not enough, I think I still have Hero Point?
Reflex: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (10) + 8 = 18
Rout pulls out his polearm and attacks the creature.
Attack vs. Flat-footed: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (18) + 8 = 26 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9 + 1d6 ⇒ 3
If that's a crit, target is pushed back 5'
Will use Nimble Dodge reaction if attacked.
Figured I'd go ahead and post this action to keep things moving.

Eltis looks at his Deception modifier, thinks of something appropriate (yet distasteful to his sensibilities) to say and then...Rout moves in.
"Eh, it was going to happen anyway."

Then he tosses a dart at the baddie..

P damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
Again, botting for LAST turn so if you check in soon, take your action for this turn. :)

Brondulf may have interrupted the spell, unfortunately, I can't find anything in the Pathfinder 2e Rulebook. I know in Pathfinder 1, if hit while casting a spell, you had to do a concentration save. I'm looking chapter 7 spell rules. Actually with that +1, you did crit, so you did interrupt her spell, via manipulate action.
Brundolf strikes her in the head as she tries to cast. Then he misses the Frog, then crits it as he hits the head.
Eltis then stabs her in the back, while Teneal misses.

Teneal throws a dart and pulls out another hit: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 1 = 11 vs Frog
dmg: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
She is in a bad spot, so she backs up one step, step ability and cast invisibility on herself. You obviously know which square she is in right now though, she can't move after that.

Conclusion
After the PCs have dealt with the threat posed by Ahksiva,
their return journey through the swamp is uneventful.
By the time the PCs return to the city, Venture-Captain
Hestia Themis has captured and imprisoned Reast Mycer
if the PCs had not already defeated him. Guiding Light
has been thoroughly raided.
Without the guidance and rallying figure of Ahksiva,
the cult known as Groetus’s Chosen quickly dissolves.
The neighborhood of Admiral’s Fen sees a dramatic
decrease in violent crime and vandalism over the next
several months. Attempts at draining the neighborhood
begin in earnest again. The people of Cassomir no longer
fear walking the streets.
Venture-Captain Hestia is ecstatic with the Pathfinders'
work. She promises to do all she can to keep hope alive in
Admiral’s Fen and ensure that monsters who would prey
on the downtrodden can’t find their way into the city. So
long as people have hope and faith, they won’t turn to
anger and false prophets.

Thanks for running, GM DoubleGold!
And thanks to everybody for posting with alacrity so we finished up before the weekend.

Yes. Thank you Double G for running and thanks to everyone for playing! Great group!
After the fact as the group is grabbing a drink before heading their separate ways and after many toasts Eltis looks over at Milo, "Well, my friend. You managed to stay alive. Another toast to Milo"

![]() |

"Thank you Eltis, although I'm sure fate still has a gruesome demise planned for me. It's only a matter of time. I glad that I didn't drag you all down with me."
I rolled my downtime already in the discussion tab on Sept 2 and got a 23 in underworld lore. That's a success earning 4 silver or .4 gold. Thanks for running this DG and thanks everyone else for putting up with Milo's pessimism.
