botting for Quonx
Quonx manages a quick look over at Dakoyo's bloodied form lying still on ground while grasped by the horrific feeding tendril.
Dakoyo! Please don't die! I never got to tell you that you're also my third favorite crewmate!
She turns back to the stridermander chewing on her.
You're going to regret having me for lunch, you failed design of an evolutionary deviant!
combat knife: 1d20 + 5 - 2 ⇒ (5) + 5 - 2 = 8
But the stridermander is evolutionarily superior enough to ward off her knife attack.

Gazigaz's shot almost hits the red stridermander which becomes spooked by it along with how wounds it has taken, prompting it to dash away around the stalagmites and scramble down the hole in the southern end of the lair.

botting Quonx
Quonx takes a careful step around a nearby stalagmite and then another to avoid the stridermanders reach with its feeding tendril. She then draws upon her body's naturally enhanced adrenal system to dash across the cave to stand with her teammates.
Let's help this beast. Into oblivion. Forever.
Two guarded moves and activate hyper for a third move action
GM Brodie073 |
will: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 4 = 14
The brazen beast slobbers and whines as it is unable to withstand the brain shattering magical attack unleashed on it.
Quonx overcharges her shot by adding a bottle of volatile energized chemicals in liquid form (not for biological consumption) to her rifle that makes the underground darkness around her ebb briefly as her blast finds its mark. Seek immediate engineering help if your firearm experiences an erected charge lasting more than 4 hours. Quonx's aim is true as it creates a smoldering hole straight through the steadfast stridermander. The smell of electrified ozone from her rifle mixes with the odor of broiled flesh and seared blood.
The helpful heroes wipe away the copious amount of stridermander blood that cascaded everywhere from Quonx's bombastic strike and note three bodies laying in the corner of the beasts' lair. Three pahtras are found on the animal skins and with a minor amount of first aid, the hunting lodge clients can exit the caverns with only a bit of assistance. The would-be hunters are a bit delirious from their ordeal but are able to mutter thanks to their saviors, especially when they emerge into the light of day.
Nakonechkin is relieved to see his crew when they appear at the cave entrance, going so far as to embrace them in one big hug. He then realizes that he has an audience and clears his throat with embarrassment. Syvatsolex is lucid enough to drive her vehicle back to Ewagadravona, mostly with aid from famed vesk inventor Elon Vusk's Veskla self driving system. Both groups arrive back at the city before dusk. Biconiamaca is similarly thrilled to see their friend and the customers who made it back alive. They hand over any promised reward on behalf of Gadraveech Tours. If asked, Biconiamaca promises that they will inform the city authorities of the newly connected caverns and deeper entrance into Gadraveech. Protocol dictates that the caves be fully explored by a seasoned team of spelunkers before they can be used recreationally. Biconiamaca jokingly suggests that the heroic scavenger crew should volunteer for the job, which is followed by Nakonechkin laughing nervously and escorting his employees out of the building. Such an adventure will have to wait for another day!
