Mylow will anchor or tie off a rope at the top and throw it down to Teja & anyone else that wants to use it.

"We should at least try to make this more passable for those who may not be used to the rigors of the trail. Perhaps cutting hand holds into the side of the cliff. We could leave pitons as well."

Moving Teja to the top, as her conditional roll succeeded with the rope.

Arlo, Zoosh, Mylow, Teja:
Mylow managed to calm down the goats a little.

A herd of wild mountain goats are currently grazing on the top of the cliff. Having heard the failed attempts, the herd is on alert. A goat has spotted you, it starts a threat display by snorting and pawing the ground.

You can try to calm the goats down with a series of Nature checks. You will need 2 more successes (Mylow succeeded) before you get 1 more fails (Arlo and Zoosh failed).

Bariel and Zonk can attempt a climb with a lowered DC, thanks to the rope.

With the goats either defeated or calmed, the Pathfinders get a good look at their surroundings. There are multiple things to be done to make this a good spot for the trail:

• Learn how to handle the goats, turning a hazard into a resource. This is a Nature check.

• Chart the view with a Cartography or Scribing Lore check, or a Crafting check.

• Recognize valuable terrain resources such as climbing spots and streams with a Nature or a Mountain or Scouting Lore check.

• Identify grazing areas and places medicinal plants and mosses might grow. This is a Nature check or a Herbalism Lore check.

• Spot a potential meltwater hazard that’s obvious when seen from the high vantage point. This is either a Perception or Nature check, or a Mountain or Scouting Lore check.

• Identify the cliff overhang as a good resting spot for travelers. This is a Survival or a Perception check.
•• If the overhang is identified as a good resting spot, they can clear an area at the base of the cliff so it provides better shelter by succeeding at a Craft check or Athletics check.

Odvar slumps to the ground.
