Hey all, posting will be slow for a while; I work in the tourism and hospitality industry in a city where St. Pat's is 1000% everything, apologies as we go into this next week

![]() |

We also found:
scroll of burning hands, wand of shocking grasp (28 chgs), bottle of wine, book of lamashtu
As a cleric of Sarenrae I can actually cast burning hands, I assume Elan can as well. Since I am more front line I was thinking we could give that to Elan.
I don't know of anyone who can use the wand so we sell it and we could see if someone in town would buy a book on lamashtu.
We drink the wine.
Thoughts?

Since no one else seemed interested I am splitting the cold iron bolts with Elan, 15 each. If someone wants some just speak up.

Ribitta Andersen |

Howdy, y'all, hell week is over, but today another of my grandparents died which makes three in six months. Will be catching up in these next few days. Thank you for your patience

Ribitta Andersen |

Good news, y'all! I am still here
The bad news, is that I lost my cell phone on the airplane on the way to my grandfather's funeral, and have been unable to log into any of my accounts until now. But I am back! I am very sorry to all that I missed the ENTIRE month of March. I am still ready and willing to return if you will still have me; thank you AGAIN for your patience and understanding.

Ribitta Andersen |

Lovely! Deadly Horns time, now Betty threatens both at reach and close up.

Ribitta Andersen |

As with all of us, BAB +1, Reflex +1; I put points into K: Arcana, Intimidate, Lore: Ancient Bakrakhan, and K. History
Also, Second level spell slots!

Think I am done leveling.
+9 HP (5 class 3 con 1fcb)
+1 REF save
+1 BAB
2nd Level spells
Feat: Power Attack

Ribitta Andersen |

@Brand, we're using EitR, so we all have Power Attack built in

Ribitta Andersen |

We're not? Damn, sorry, I 100% have been hitting 3 points harder this level because I misremembered and thought we were using it. In that case, my level 3 feat will also be Power Attack.

Mashaka Lyra |

Well, that feat is not in the "pre-approved" list of resources, but it seems fun so I'll allow it. Note that you still need Precise Shot to shoot into melee.
Thanks man! My apologies for using a feat without asking first (it was just pure reflex). I thought it was a good one for her theme... If I can at some point in the future advance her on the Holy Vindicator prestige class, then I'll have to get Elemental Channel or Alignment Channel before she gets to BAB 5.

Mashaka Lyra |

Hi guys! Posting it on all my pbps.
Our offshore team at work is very affected by the pandemic at the moment and with the fiscal year approaching to an end, our reduced capacity is terribly affecting my time. For the next several weeks it will likely impact me in such way that I simply won't be able to keep up with the forums, things normalizing only as we start approaching mid June.
For the games where I play, GMs please feel free to bot the characters. If you don't desire to bot me for so long, I completely understand, apologize for the late notice and wish you all the best of fun. If you hold me around, though, I should be back after this storm.
For the games where I host, my sincerest apologies to the players - I won't let you hanging so if you stick around until my return we will give it continuation as normal. Otherwise, please message me and once I'm back I'll recruit replacements.
To everybody, I'm sorry for the late notice and I hope we will continue playing together once I'm back!
Cheers,
Archlich

GM Anthorg - RotR |

That's ok Mashaka, I'll try to bot you until you're back. I'm sure I won't play the part as well as you, but combat should be easy enough.
Preemptive notice: Today I'm moving abroad. This means that I may disappear for a few days until I can get semi-settled. Please wait for me.
I should be posting again by the weekend. So, I'll wait until I'm back to move on, as this should be an interesting encounter.

Ribitta Andersen |

Hey sorry for my recent inactivity, I've been going thru a rough patch of personal and legal difficulty. Been a tough year.
I do think a fifth cleric would make things easier

Azadi Freeman |

Hey all, thanks for the pick!
I mentioned to the GM in a PM that I'm willing adjust my build (or even change it) to help with party balance if needed, and that would extend to flavor/RP concerns as well.
Currently my alignment is true neutral, like my patron Gozreh. I did chose to channel negative energy instead of positive energy and had two reasons for that. First, flavor-wise I liked it as an expression of the destructive potential of the sea and storms, and thought that with the way Gozreh is known for their duality it was kind of fitting to pair that with an aasimar which would generally be more associated with healing/creating. Second, crunch-wise I'll get way more use out of the channel smite feat by channeling negative energy (and that feat is a requirement for guided hand, which I need in order to help with melee at all). That said, I am open to hearing any comments/concerns/questions anyone may have about that or any other part of the build, and to making changes if need be.

Elan Crew |

Welcome Aboard!
My comment about negative channeling is that to make it useful you need a high charisma and selective channeling feat. I've never been a fan of channel smite as it is a waste of damage. Why damage one when you can damage all of the enemies nearby and there is no need to hit. If you want to use channel smite I am fine with that and have no objection. I've seen too many negative channel builds that never get to use their channel because they couldn't channel without harming their allies. You won't have that issue using channel smite.
To be honest I voted for your character because I like him overall, not to be a front-liner. I envisioned Thakus for front-liner.
That's my 2 cents. Play your character how you want.

Thakus |

Even with Channel Smite, your target gets a Will save against your channel DC for half damage so without a high Charisma a lot of that sweet, sweet negative energy damage will go to waste.
I plan on being fully front-line. I probably won't cast a lot of combat spells, at least not until I can get a spell-storing weapon and augment my damage output that way. So we may be better off with another caster cleric than another poundy cleric.

Azadi Freeman |

My current build is not intended as a frontliner at all, he’s primarily a controller. I just wanted to have a viable melee option for if/when I run out of spells at low levels. But, I do have like 14/day options with my granted powers so I guess I could completely abandon any melee usefulness if/since the consensus seems to be that’s it’s unnecessary.
So, if it’s alright with our GM I’ll look at changing out my feats? Also (again, if it’s already with the GM) I might look at possibly adding an archetype if there’s anything that trades out some or all channeling without fundamentally changing the feel of my character?
Oh, and I didn’t see anyone covering face skills... did I just miss that or should I maybe think about trying to cover those if I can?

Welcome aboard all. I figure Thakus can dish out the damage, I'll take it, and the other chaps are support. If betty is still in, she dishes out a bit of damage as well.

I think you'd probably end up regretting spending two feats on something you don't plan to use or be good at. You could take Weapon Finesse to at least give yourself a +1 on attack rolls, but if you want to be a ranged controller anyway, Guided Hand probably isn't worth it.

GM Anthorg - RotR |

I'm fine if the new characters want to change your builds. I'm focusing on how to get you in where they are right now. I think we'll have to do some introductory gameplay later today.
In the meantime, Elan, Brand and Betty, you won't meet them right away, so you can proceed with the leafy maze if you wish.

Azadi Freeman |

Alright, so I think have two different feats picked out... both are from ACG, so I think I should be fine there but there was one thing I wanted to double check with the GM. I’m looking at taking the war blessing feat at first for the animal and plant blessings (mostly so that if someone gets into melee with me I can entangle them and move away). That feat says it ‘otherwise acts like the blessing class feature’ which I think means I can take another feat that has blessing as a prerequisite, right? I ask because what I’d like to do is use my other feat on channeled blessing (and switch to positive channeling) so that I can use my channels to buff Brand and/or Thakus with an extra bite attack.

Azadi Freeman |

Alright, I've changed my feats and (since I no longer care about my channel DC at all) switched my campaign trait from student of faith to Sandpoint faithful. My background has always had me coming of age in Sandpoint so anyone else who grew up there please let me know and we can talk about how/if we already know each other.
Also, are we allowed to use the sub-species of aasimar? If so, I think I'd like to switch to the plumekith variant. My final stats would remain unchanged (because I'd take the points I had spent on Dex and shift them to Cha) and I already traded away the skill bonuses (for truespeaker) so the only change would be replacing the daylight SLA with see invisibility (which seems like a helpful change in an all cleric party).
edit: oh, and I took half rounded up for hit points
