Damon will spend 6 points from his Lay on Hands pool to top us all the rest of the way up.

As he ministered to the remainder of their wounds with the blessing of the Inheritor, Damon suggested, "Right, then. Thank you, Anevia, for being patient--you show true nobility of spirit--let's head out when you are ready."

Speaking to Aravashnial, Damon said, "I hope that you can get your sight restored soon, friend, and get back to stemming the flow of the demons into our world. I hope our paths cross again soon."

Do you think they opened one of those portals in the city? And if so do you know how they can be closed?"

Action #1 cont.
As they rested, Stella listened along amiably as Hallvarðr & Kokam sang their song about the interesting couple; enjoying the break from all the doom and gloom they've faced so far. While she didn't know this particular song, it did happily reminded her of her times travel throughout Avistan and of the random songs and shanties she'd hear along the way. After his performance was over, Stella made a note to ask the the man to teach her the lyrics if they ever had a spare afternoon.

Action #2
Before the group had finished resting, Stella moved off to herself for a moment to pray to Desna and try to glean some information about what they may experience next.

Gonna try and cast Augury to see if Stella can glean if the visit to Anevia's house will end happily or tragially for Anevia (if possible).

Action #1
Arriving at Anevia's house, Stella stayed behind as others as checked and searched the place, her mind still pondering what she had seen in the stars. When they called out that Irabeth was nowhere to be found, Stella wasn't surprised; the message she had received back in the library had hinted at the possibility of her not being around. She was just happy the house was empty instead of discovering something far more tragic. Hoping that her hunch was correct, Stella began walking towards the woman to tell her that she thought her wife was still alive when all of a sudden a streak of lightning shot through the room hitting two of her friends and dropping Anevia to the floor! Instinctually activating her Star form, Stella rushed towards Anevia side to see if the woman was still alive. As she did so she also sent some healing energy Damon's way and was surprised when her magic seemingly split into two and healed Roscoe a bit as well.

Staggering, smoking, and sparking, Damon reeled from the powerful blast of electricity that nearly blew him off his feet. Drawing Radiance, he moved behind the chair and charged towards the northwest corner of the room where the invisible being taunted them. Stella Destino wrote:

OOC: Please continue attacking with disadvantage.

However, the attacks that Kokam landed may knock the sorcerer prone or even dispel his invisibility if the concentration check is failed. This is why I think this fight will be much easier than you expect it to be. Greater invisibility in 5e is still subject to 'concentration' (unlike the PF version). :)

I will adjust the attacks based on the current situation of the sorcerer.

We will assume that the actions/attacks occurred in the order that they were posted. So far: Roscoe, Stella, Damon, Kokam, and presumably Hallvardr.

OOC: paraphrase the following description of the place 'before' the latest demon invasion:

The largest inn in Kenabres is Defender’s Heart—a stout stone structure; this business caters to mercenary companies and crusaders coming to the city. Inside this squat stone structure are dozens of rooms for rent, hearty food, and a wide selection of refreshments shipped in from across the Inner Sea. It’s owner, Kimroth Otai was a mercenary fighting against the Worldwound until he lost his right arm in a clash with demons. Now he spends his time overseeing his staff and talking wistfully with other, more able-bodied soldiers who spend time in his establishment when back from the front.

Having visited the Defender's Heart several times during the last year of his training in Kenabres, Damon spoke of it fondly, "Ah, yes, the Defender's Heart is the stoutest--and largest--inn in the city. If the remaining city forces have mustered there, it would be a great rallying point."

Turning to Anevia, he added, "That sounds like a great idea to me. We all need rest and healing. If we can confirm the 'Heart is a safe place, perhaps we can rest there and get word to our friends scattered through the city of its location."

Looking to the others, he said, "We have those cult hideouts to check, but if we can get somewhere safe and rest first, that should be our first priority--do we have any healing left? My own power wanes as well."

As she sat up, looking about for the sorcerer, she had just enough time to see Hallvardr's familiar axe blossom from their adversary's head.

Coughing a little from the residual drift of noxious gasses, she joins Damon in congratulating the large Ulfen, "A good throw indeed..."

She nods at the other's conclusions on Defender's Heart, "I know nothing of this place, but it does seem a likely place for other, as well as Irabeth, to have sought solace from the invasion. Having a safe place to return to will make our forays into the City more...well...easier."

Kokam rises ,brushing some dirt from her clothes, noting a few singe marks from the sorcerer's lightning, "An opportunity to clean up would be appreciated..." she says with a wry smile.

How long would it take to collect everyone we've met/ dropped off so far and bring them along to the inn? Though dangerous, Stella would be inclined to try and bring everyone immediately to the inn rather than leave them alone in an unprotected city.

(1) Hit Die: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10

Action #1
"Let us hope there are not any worshippers of Xoveron in the city." Stella began, "They're a nasty group that relishes torturing their victims for no reason.

"Plus you need more time to recover Anevia before you can move properly."

During the short rest, Stella sent the conjured butterfly spirit over to Damon & Kokam who were injured the most severely from the sorcerer. As it landed momentarily on each of their shoulders, they each glowed with a warm light as the healing magic took effect.

Healing Spirit (Stella) : 1d6 ⇒ 1
Healing Spirit (Damon) : 1d6 ⇒ 4
Healing Spirit (Kokam) : 1d6 ⇒ 6

During the rest, Damon spoke with the others about their next steps, summarizing with a final thought, "As much as I would like to gather our friends from their hiding places as we move to the Defender's Heart, I would hate for us all to show up and it be overrun with demons. I think we should confirm first that it is a safe place to bring them before removing them from the relative safety of their current locations."
