Welcome all, let's get ready to write an awesome cooperative story!

I am actually ready to send out Turn 000 tonight (and I may do that) but let's take some time to finalize if the PCs know each other and what their tie to the Crusades and/or Kenabres (Mendev) is.

The campaign proper starts during Armasse!

Traditionally an opportunity for scholars and priests to come together to study the lessons of history from wars past, since Aroden’s death, this holy day has become more about training commoners in weaponry, choosing squires, and ordaining new priests. Over time, Armasse has grown to encompass jousting competitions, mock duels, battle reenactments, and other festival events.

I'll want your PCs stats on your profile in an 'orderly' manner so I can check them and retrieve them as necessary. I don't have any preferred style as long as it's 'neat and orderly'.

Thanks for picking me. I remember a previous attempt as per play by email... this is a great idea to combine the two formats.

Helaman: Borden Read, male human bard or Halvaror Stormbrow, male human bard

Or this? More like a priest in some ways than a bard... Death or glory Viking who wants to maximise your killing capacity

I told you that I prefer Borden Read, but it's really up to you.

Pick the one that will bring out the best roleplayer in you. :)

I'm throwing it out for the party to throw in some input. Both characters need some minor tweaks.

That's fine. I'll take a look at stats (if that's what you mean) later, but I'm sure we'll come to an agreement.

I'm really much more interested about the story aspects.

Let's wait for everyone to check in and start establishing any potential connections.

I'd like to know from everyone: how long you have been in Kenabres and what brought you here.

I realize that some of that was answered in your backgrounds, but it's best to bring it out again for everyone to see (and potentially connect to).

"Thank the Inheritor they chose that ballad for my test," thought the young warrior seated before his small audience as the last strains of the haunting "Cry of the Crusader" wafted through the morning air. Damon had learned his lessons well after coming to Kenabres to join his mentor, Vendarn, at the camp of the Order of the Sunrise Sword a full year ago, and this was his favorite ballad.

Carefully placing his Lyre in his pack, he waited quietly for the judges to proclaim their decision. Damon had already passed the other tests this morning--including the test of combat--and this was the last step in finally becoming a member of the Order in good standing. Suddenly, Vendarn rounded the corner and smiled as the judges started clapping, and the next thing he knew, Damon was surrounded by his new brothers of the Order--though it would not be official until the ceremony tonight.

Vendarn unstrapped the weapon he wore at his belt and handed it to Damon, saying, ""You have earned this. You are one of us now. Wield this Sunrise Sword with honor." In turn, each of the other brothers brought other items--the holy symbol of Iomedae for Damon to wear around his neck to replace the one he has now (meant for apprentices), a holy emblem made to emblazon his shield, and a thick woolen cloak the color of the sunrise. "You have the rest of the day to incorporate this regalia into your equipment. Return to us tonight to start your vigil, and you will be formally accepted into our order with the rising of the sun. Until then, enjoy the festival!"

In excellent cheer, Damon quickly adapts his equipment and prepares to go out into the festival. A flitting shadow, though, crosses the sun and doubt enters his mind. "You don't deserve this, faithless child," he hears with his mind's ear, but that voice has been getting more and more quiet since he started his training with the crusaders, and Damon grips the new holy symbol, praying that Iomedae grants him freedom from his own inner...demons.

Stepping out into the sunlit day, Damon heads for the heart of the festival, ready to celebrate!

Howdy folks. Thanks for choosing me, Fabian, I'm sure this will be another great campaign. I'm going to add his stats to my profile this evening.

I was wondering if you had any idea what we can do to Riftwarden Orphan, as my only concentration checks will be when I get darkness as a racial ability at level 5. Could I get maybe proficiency in Arcana, or something to tie into the riftwardens? (I only know what the player's guide says about them)

@Helaman are both bards going to be going valor?

I'm not opposed but we're also minus anyone with any arcane talent as well (except your bards).

But that' fine, the lack of arcane casters or the lack of a cleric are only RP opportunities.

Multi-classing on the table?

male
Helaman wrote:
Multi-classing on the table?

Not really. Let's keep it simple.

And I hate to say but if any one of the five PCs starts to outshine the other PCs because of a very savvy player then we will 'adjust' the outlier PC.

I really want everyone to be at roughly the same power level. Obviously, there will be some PCs better at some things than others but nothing to the detriment of the game.

So once again, concentrate on the fluff aspect and make the stats to roughly correspond.

@Fabian, my DnD sheet is attached to my profile and I have some of my information under my PC too; let me know if I need to adjust/ amend anything. Also quick question on Touched by Divinity, how do you want that to work when transferred to DnD? Should I just pick a Cleric spell of 1st level?

@everyone, The reason for Stella's arrival in Kenabres is that she was sent here after receiving a message from Desna warning of potential dangers to the North in and around Mendev. She came as an emissary of sorts to assist, and potentially avert disaster in the region if possible. I imagine that she's been wandering/ investigating Mendev for a while and only recently came to Kenabres when she became sidetracked after hearing about the Armasse festival (she loves a good festival/ party).

@everyone, I would say that my character has been seen around town the past couple of days/ week but most likely hasn't had a conversation with anyone from the party but if some has a good reason why we might know each other ahead of time I'm game.

No, you're good. You may want to edit your 'pointer'. Look at 'How to format your text' below. Click 'Show' next to it.

Replace the Paizo website with the website of the sheet and replace 'Paizo Inc.' with 'Stella's PC Sheet' (or something like that).

Formatting like that will also allow you to use the dice roller.

You'll get the hang of it soon enough.

For your spell, go ahead and select a 1st level cleric spell of Divination or Abjuration.

@Everybody Onyx was raised (and likely born) in Kenabres. He's part of a group of scouts and outriders who patrol the border of the Worldwound. He was raised into the role, but has only become an official member in the past few years. They will spend many days at a time out of town to make sure that the Wardstones are working properly. They will deal with any minor threats, but their main purpose is to report back if anything big seems likely.

@Damon I would imagine that Damon and Onyx would have crossed paths. Both are trained fighters, both are young, and spend time in taverns. Onyx has a love for the Viol, but wouldn't play in public, so he'd probably be drawn to the music.

@Stella There may have been a chance we ran into each other while Onyx was on patrol. I'm having him arrive back just in time for Armasse.

Fixed the url issue so I think I should be all set.

@Fabian, sounds good regarding the campaign trait. I'm just confirming that its one use per long rest and it doesn't become a known druid spell?

@Onyx, sure works for me that we met while you were out on patrol. Does it make sense for Stella to have tagged along for a couple days while we were both going in a similar direction?

M Tiefling 1 Rogue - AC 14

@Stella I would assume that they've run into travellers in the past. The Duskrunners usually travel in 2s or 3s, and if you seem at home in the wild, and not a risk to their mission, they'd have you along. Otherwise they would probably escort you to town. Being a druid, I'm assuming more of the former, but either way, that works for me!

I'm waiting for our party rogue to see how they shape up. I'll nail it down then.

If its Borden? He's been in town for over a month. He's been busy trying to entertain the people who are living next to and in a grim grim reality. He's likely been brawling and playing cards too... did I mention the drinking? Well, they don't bother to age the booze much around here, so best I don't mention the drinking or at least the hangovers...

If it's Halvaror? He just arrived, like that afternoon! He and his (surviving) fellow pilgrim-glory seekers are happy to be here and have cleaned up for the night of rejoicing. He is looking forward to making contacts so that he (and those assorted road warriors) can join the best demon hunter unit.

Both are going Valor bard.

I LIKE Borden (he's an old friend, remade a number of times... I can close my eyes and almost see and smell him... FYI that smell is mostly stale beer) but a/ He's as much a rogue as a bard and we have a dedicated rogue in the party already and b/ I never have played a Viking skald bard type to beyond level 2... I've tried the concept a few times but without longevity and I have a deep curiosity about how it will play out over a long term campaign (got faith this will go long).

I need to meditate on Borden a little (happy with him mostly) and Halvardr a bit more. I want to make sure he 'works' beyond 4-5.

M Tiefling 1 Rogue - AC 14

@Helaman I'm the rogue, and you can see my sheet in my profile if you're looking for crunch. Personality wise he's more of a ranger than a rogue. He attacks from the shadows and uses ranged weapons, and likes to have s drink or 3 when he isn't needed to work. Play what you would prefer, I'm sure it will be great either way!

Damon has yet to be allowed out on a WorldWound patrol, but that is intended to be part of his role starting tomorrow now that he is going to officially become a member of the Order of the Sunrise Sword. Let's say he and Onyx have met at a tavern--Onyx is drawn to Damon's musical tribute to the heroes of the crusades and those who fight to protect the world from its Wound, and Damon hungers to hear stories about patrols in and near the enemy territory.

Onyx, are you a member of one of the larger organizations in the Crusader playbook (here) or associated with a faith who has taken it on themselves to patrol the WorldWound borders?

M Tiefling 1 Rogue - AC 14

Damon, that works for me.

As for the organizations, I just made one up. I didnt see any talk of scouts or something similar in the player's guide. The Duskrunners follow Pulura, and were named after Onyx's adoptive father. Most likely a small group of no more than a dozen scouts that go on rotating patrols.

Thinking about it, wearing the formal colors of the Order would be frowned upon until the official ceremony was completed, so I'll tweak Damon's story to have that happen at sunrise.

Action 1:

"Thank the Inheritor they chose that ballad for my test," thought the young warrior seated before his small audience as the last strains of the haunting "Cry of the Crusader" wafted through the evening air.

Damon had already passed the other tests throughout the day--including the test of combat--and this was the last step in finally becoming a member of the Order in good standing. Suddenly, Vendarn rounded the corner and smiled as the judges started clapping, and the next thing he knew, Damon was surrounded by his new brothers of the Order--though it would not be official until the sunrise.

Vendarn unstrapped the weapon he wore at his belt and handed it to Damon, saying, ""You have earned this. You are one of us now. Wield this Sunrise Sword with honor." In turn, each of the other brothers brought other items--the holy symbol of Iomedae for Damon to wear around his neck to replace the one he wore as an apprentice, a holy emblem made to emblazon his shield, and a thick woolen cloak the color of the sunrise. "You have an hour to incorporate this regalia into your equipment. Return to us at sundown to start your vigil, and you will be formally accepted into our order with the rising of the sun."

In excellent cheer, Damon quickly adapts his equipment and calms his nerves. Returning to his new brothers, he sees only Vendran holding supplicant's robes. "You are to put aside all your earthly possessions and pledge yourself anew to the Inheritor this night. Wear only these simple robes and begin your vigil," says his mentor. The night passes in prayer and fasting as Damon dedicates himself to Iomedae and her Order of the Sunrise Sword, with each brother visiting him briefly during the night and speaking words of teaching and encouragement. Just before dawn, a flitting shadow crosses his mind, whispering in his mind, "You don't deserve this, faithless child,", but that voice has been getting more and more quiet since he started his training with the crusaders, and Damon grips the new holy symbol in prayer; the moment passes.

With the dawn of Armasse, Damon is surrounded by the members of the order and sheds his supplicants robes, taking back up his worldly possessions, and pledging his fealty to the Inheritor and the Order. A newly minted member of the Order of the Sunrise Sword, Damon is overcome by joy. Vendran smiles at him and says, "There will be time enough for crusading tomorrow. Go enjoy the festival today!" With a smile and an ernest thanks to each brother, Damon heads off into the city to see what wonder this day may bring.

M Tiefling 1 Rogue - AC 14

Action 1
Onyx let loose a sigh of relief when the gates of Kenabres came into view. Home sweet home. He quickened his pace, and made his customary checks. Hood? Up. Eyes? Green. Duskrunner emblem? Proudly displayed as his cloak's clasp. Good to go.

He'd been in the wilds for 8 days. A bit longer than normal, but he made some arrangements with the others to make sure that he could attend Armasse. It was always a nice change of pace. People seemed to loosen up a bit, enjoy themselves more. Something he thought Kenabres sorely needed.

He nodded to the guards as he entered the gates. Recognizing him, they nodded in return. "Will I see you boys tomorrow?" One of the guards grunted and replied "Maybe in the evening. We're on duty all day."
Onyx slapped him on the shoulder as he walked past. "That's a shame, I heard the joust is going to be something special this year! Look for me after your shift, first drink's on me."

He continued down the familiar path to the Duskrunner barracks, made his report (nothing particularly interesting, apart from a druid wandering the wilds), and headed to his chamber to drop off his packs and prepare for a night of drink, song, and dice.

Action 2
Onyx awoke early and enjoyed a light breakfast. He made his customary checks and headed into town. He'd been looking forward to Armasse for months, and didn't want to miss any of it.

He walked through the busy streets to Clydwell Plaza, and took in the sights. He was hoping he'd find the fletcher's daughter What was her name?... Amelia? and spend the day with her if she'd have him.

It was going to be a good day, he could feel it.

Action 2:

Damon Grimm, newly minted member of the Order of the Sunrise Sword, walks happily towards the Clydwell Plaza where the focus of the celebration will take place. His confident stride marks someone of noble upbringing, but the absence of swagger indicates a lack of arrogance often found in the upper nobility. With dark brown hair and eyes and a swarthy complexion, Damon could be from any of the nearby countries, but those who speak with him can intuit his Mendevian origins. At his belt hangs a longsword with a rising sun engraved on the pommel, over his shoulder is strapped a pack with the hafts of what look like several javelins poking out, and he wears a cloak the color of a dark sky yielding to the sunrise. His other clothes are more utilitarian in appearance, brown and black traveling clothes suited for long journeys, and his well-worn but carefully maintained chainmail armor rests comfortably on his muscular frame.

As he is passing one of the entrances into town, Damon's face lights up, and you can see genuine warmth in his eyes as he calls out, "Onyx, back from a patrol, are you? Nice of the Duskrunners to turn loose of you long enough for the festival. Come on--let's grab some breakfast at the Plaza! I'm starving!" Continuing towards the Plaza, Damon keeps an eye out for any of his other friends who may be around--it's time to CELEBRATE!

M Tiefling 1 Rogue - AC 14

Onyx, with his dark cloak, and a functional short bow slung over his shoulder, gave Damon a wide grim, careful not to show too much teeth.
"I wouldn't miss it for the world! The bribes I had to give the others will keep my pockets light for weeks, but I'm sure it'll be worth it!"

Onyx looked down at the sword at Damon's waist. [b]"Now that's new. I suppose congratulations are in order? Come! Breakfast's on me."

"Right you are, Onyx. I just got accepted into the Order this morning. I've got the shield in my pack, but the sword was a gift from Vendarn, and the Sunrise Cloak makes it official. Next time your Duskrunners find a problem at the border, maybe I'll be part of the strike force that rides in to smite some evil!" answers Damon enthusiastically. "Let me get breakfast, though, my friend. If I have to buy the drinks tonight to celebrate instead, I'll be in the poor house by three bells after nightfall with the way you hold your liquor," he continues.

After a few moments of walking together, he asks, "Anything interesting happen on your latest patrol? I've been working so hard getting ready for the trials of membership I haven't really gotten out much lately."

@Fabian, Added 'Touched by Divinity' as a feat to my character sheet. Choose the spell Ceremony as it fits what my character does for a "living"

@Oynx, lets go with the former, I think that fits better for the both of us!

Action #1

Following the directions given to her by the friendly tiefling, though he was trying to hide it for some reason, Stella arrived at the South gate of Kenabres two days before the Armasse festival. Normally she wouldn't had taken such a direct route to her destination, in fact she wasn't planning on visiting the city for weeks! But Midnight's mention of a festival had intrigued her... no his name was Cobalt... actually it might have been Navy... Shoot I should have paid attention more she thought to herself as she passed the gate's outer checkpoint I'm positive his name was a color but which one....

Stella had always loved festivals. Since she was a child traveling along with her parents throughout Southern Avistan, her parents would always make a point of trying to attend as many local festivities as possible. For them, it was an opportunity to preach the goodness of Desna to the masses; for Stella, it was a chance to and explore. Living the majority of her life in the woods meant that she missed out on some of the more mundane "wonders" of the world - like trinkets and food that wasn't foraged the previous afternoon - and these festival trips were the perfect chance for her to sneak off and discover these things for herself. When she began traveling on her own, performing wedding ceremonies and the like in Desna's name, she would always keep an open ear for any upcoming events in the area that would convince her to stick around for a couple extra days (or weeks and the occasional month if the event was enticing enough). So when Slate (yes that must've been it) mentioned that his hometown was about to celebrate a particularly festive one, she knew that a slight detour to Kenabres was in order.

I'm sure Desna will not mind too much... I'm sure there is a reason why I'm here! she lied to herself as she passed the last checkpoint and entered the city proper thinking ahead to all the fantastic stalls of food and trinkets that must lie within.

Action #2

On the morning of the Armasse festival, Stella left her rooms in her typical garb: bright padded cloth (in blue today) below various leather vestments stitched with the butterfly symbol of her faith, a satchel slung over her shoulder and a walking staff slung along her back, her various trinkets/ bangles/ jewelry adorning her hands/ wrists/ arms, and most importantly her tiny meteorite turned necklace worn constantly since she discovered the peculiar stone as a child. As she entered the already bustling street she quickly tried to corral her messy waist-length hair to no avail, frowning slightly. Perhaps it's finally time to invest in a hair brush she thought jokingly heading toward the center of town humming tunelessly.

Action #2 (cont.)

As Stella casually meanders her way through they outer layers of the city she takes in the sights and sounds of everything around her, watching everyone scurry about in either excitement or preparation for the festivities ahead. Shortly after beginning her trip toward Old Kenabres, she stops dead in her tracks as a wave of hunger hits her. As she begins to ponder where best to have her first meal of the day she notices two men walking down the street toward her and recognizes one of them as the Tiefling. Now that I think of it, Slate isn't right, she says to herself, Maybe it was Cobalt.... Not wanting to be rude by yelling out the wrong name, she yells out instead, "Hey! You!" as she waves her arms in the air energetically trying to get their attention.

Onyx grinned at Damon. "You'll be the first to know if I find anything interesting... well, maybe the second. The Captain mlwouldn't be happy if I stepped out of the chain of command. The old man can be a stickler for things like that.

...

Onyx shook his head "It's actually been surprisingly quiet recently. Maybe the demons have been preparing for their own festival on the other side!" He chuckled. "There was a druid though. Haven't seen her around these parts before. A priestess of Desna. I told her about Armasse, so she might be here. She'll be easy to spot. Not really a city type. Her name was Sophie... no, uhhh Stephania?"

@Fabian Correct me if I'm wrong. I dont know what the state of this side of the wardstones would be. I havent done much research. Trying to avoid spoilers.

"Looks like we are almost to the street vendors--a good selection today, by the look of it. We should..." trails off Damon as he sees a figure up ahead waving its arms and calling out. "Do you think she's in trouble?" asks Damon, moving forward with more purpose now, unsure of the situation ahead but always ready to help someone in need.

Onyx heard the voice and looked up. Speak of the devils... He looked to Damon and said "Now there's timing, that's her there.

He approached the druid, and gave a sarcastic half-bow "I'm glad to made it for the festival! You're in for a treat, to be sure. This is a friend of mine, Damon. He's a newly sworn in member of the Order of the Sunrise Sword (kind of a big deal). Damon, this is the druid I was telling you about!"

Onyx hoped that she would introduce herself to avoid the embarrassment of forgetting her name.

"It a pleasure to meet you! Stella Destino at your service!" she replies as she returns Onyx's gesture with a false curtsy and a large grin on her face. "Are you a part of the, er... shoot what group are you with again?" directing her question at Onyx. "And also your name is Granite right?" That's definitely it she says to herself confidently, forgetting her promise of improved manners almost immediately

"Stella, pleased to meet you. Granite has told me so much about you," he says with a mischevious smile. "Why don't you two find us somewhere to sit and I'll get a selection of breakfast foods from the street vendors over there?" suggests Damon casually, giving Onyx a good-natured elbow to the ribs as he takes their leave. "Who knows, stranger pairings have happened," thinks the young Paladin.

Action 1 - Went with Hal because it's something I want to try and I want to see some growth. He is not optimised but if he lives long enough will be great warrior in his own right... finally he's 'scary' - between his bad reputation and menacing feature I see it as the hand of Gorum resting on his shoulder like an omen

Halvardr!, damn it boy! Where are you?!, Leif Longarm bellowed, looking around as he moved his band of warriors towards the gates of Kenabres.

We did well to get more than a dozen here, the old Toragite mused looking over them with a mixture of pride and regret. Torag keep the others.

Here, a deep voice replied, close by.

Leif wheeled to his shield side, cursing. Hells! You move like a wolf... stop sneaking around like that!

I do not sneak. I just watch where I step Longarm.

Leif wanted to like the tall young man that stood before him. Truly he was not objectionable in anyway. He fought well, took his watches without sleeping or complaining, did what tasks he was given without murmur. When it was his turn at the fire his songs and stories - all of battle - were entertaining. He even had the beginnings of the mantle of leadership - men would fight harder when standing by his side... maybe that was it. The warp and weft of that mantle was woven of different stuff than his own. Darker and rougher to be sure. The veteran raider was used to violence and the intimidating reputation of Vikings was well earned but Halvardr had a fell ominous aura about him that oft made Leif cautious and raised the hairs on the back of his neck...

Make sure that Halfhand knows to count our people as they go in, and keep an eye on them. We don't want any one lagging.

Asa Sturldottir need not be told. She's been herding us since her husband fell... but I will let her know. It appears many gather here for the festival. You think we will find an able troop to join here?, Halvardr asked.

Aye. Glory awaits. We just need to find the right band to join... then we will show these demons what Vikings are made of! Torag be praised!

And Gorum too, Halvardr added, touching his silver holy symbol. The stripling youth reached up, scratching his red beard, then rubbed at his head and long locks. We should probably get cleaned up Longarm... we will not impress anyone in our current state. It's been a long road.

Leif's hand itched to slap the young man for telling him how to lead but again, there was something dangerous about the young warrior that gave him pause.

You speak well for a pup, he said condescendingly, deciding to use words instead of acting on his impulse to impose discipline with a blow. Only one raid, one kill and a long walk and you think you know my business better than I do!.

Halvardr stared at his elder for a half a dozen heartbeats before inclining his head, and moving to pass on his leaders words. In truth Halvardr was unsettled. He wondered what awaited him, knowing only that Gorum had led him here. He, like the others had joined what others might call a 'pilgrimage' or a 'crusade' but Leif and others like him had called The Glory Road'. The followers of Torag and Desna needed only some appeal to religion to turn their hearts to the cause.

For Halvardr it was a ringing voice of iron. FOLLOW...

Action 2 - The key is to NOT make the young man an edge lord. He isn't, not yet at any rate. He's intimidating due to the blessings/touch of Gorum - mixing background feature and campaign trait with Variant Human feat. I'll make sure I don't go the 'Batman' route.

Entering Kenabres Halvardr was pleased to see both a multitude of armed soldiers and celebrating people. It felt... safe. The coloured ribbons, flags and pennants was easy on the eyes, and the riotous clash of a thousand voices, different instruments and songs was better far than howling winds or the arguments of his elders.

He and Asa Sturldottir bought up the rear. Even her grief marked face seemed to relax and her mood lighten.

Whats this all about Halfhand?, he asked.

The festival? Armasse? Used to be a Holiday to the Dead God. I hear now it's excuse to blow the froth off but the followers of The Inheritor use it to train, to share war stories and to plan, she said, raising her voice above the din. Goes for a week, or so I know.

She looked up at the 'green' warrior, noting he'd made some effort to rebraid his blood red hair and probably made an attempt to comb out his youthful beard with his fingers. He was still clad in road dust coated leathers though. He'd need to beat those clean. She smiled, probably for the first time in a month. What think you?

I? I think I'm hungry! You smell that? Food! Real food...

Asa barked a knowing laugh. You haven't done growing yet? Truth be told my boys were always eating at your age... and you're looking a little rangy. You could easily put on a bit more muscle if you just ate better.

Hjort Gunnersson moved through the throng to yell over the noise.

Longarm says we will room at the Sign of the Blue Drake... hurry yourselves.

Both Asa and Halvardr nodded, and Hjort moved back towards the front of the column.

Halvardr swivelled his head again and breathed in deeply, inhaling the smells of over a dozen dishes.

Tell you what Stormbrow, go grab something to eat. I'll tell Longarm I told you to check over a few horses and that you'll catch up later. She pushed him towards to food vendors.

He gave her a grateful grin, his youth apparent when he wasn't wearing his customarily serious expression. He didn't need to be told twice.

Moving through the crowd there was a mix of noises and shouted voices.

The Lions Den - best ale and clean rooms! I'll lead you there!, a young man yelled at him, before he turned his attention to others and yelled out the same offer to them.

Her Grace suffices! Her arm is strong! She ever stands with those 'gainst wrong, sung a performer into the masses.

Halvardr stopped in front of one stall, selling breads, grilled meats and other breakfast foods. A soldier or guard or something like that, wearing a fine new cloak seemed to know what foods were best and moved along side him to pay attention to his selections.

Then he noticed the mans ears! Pointed?!

He couldn't help but stare.

As he is finishing up his purchases, Damon can’t help but see the tall and lanky newcomer staring at him—or more specifically, his ears. He is, however, in way too good a mood to let it bother him. Turning to the redhead, he quips, ”First time seeing a half-elf? I assure you there are wonders far greater in Kenabres to behold during Armasse.”. Tossing the young warrior a pastry from his armload of treats, Damon says, ”Enjoy your day,” as he heads back to Onyx and Stella, wondering how the two of them were hitting it off.

Great stuff everyone! Thanks!
I’m away from home but intend to move the story along later today.

M Tiefling 1 Rogue - AC 14

Even though the plaza was starting to get busy, Onyx found a a place to sit without much difficulty. A moderately sized table with a long bench in either side. It was located centrally with a good view of the festival's activities.

He sat down, and swung his feet around. He looked to Stella and asked "So how did the rest of your time in the wilds go? Find what you were looking for?" Whatever that is...
