Aware that I will need concentration but I'm betting a/The tower will be cleared soon and b/while I am still invisible I can scout and check out the situation. Edit/ 5e is different for invisible. *A creature you touch becomes invisible until the spell ends. Anything the target is wearing or carrying is invisible as long as it is on the target's person. The spell ends for a target that attacks or casts a spell.*

Sarya didn't expect to get so hurt in the fight, but she pressed on, drawing from her training to fight on with furious speed, using the same spell from before.
Using bonus action to Second Wind. Also, action surge.
Attack hob 1: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 26
Damage: 1d8 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14
Critical bonus damage: 1d8 ⇒ 5
Assuming that one died. His friend takes another 2 damage.
Attack hob 2: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12
Damage: 1d8 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8
2nd Wind: 1d10 + 3 ⇒ (9) + 3 = 12
Sarya fully recovered from the guard's attack and finished off the hurt one. Her speed failed to draw blood from the second, however.

Might be a good time to use inspiration Sarya :)
I thought about it and chose not to. I realized I shouldn't roll my damage before seeing the d20 result, because I don't want to use inspiration for a 2 in a d8 damage die.

Gazul Ironfist |

"I don't like this." Gazul grumbled. "It's taking her too long. Angrudd's hammer, I hope that she's alright." He glanced in the direction of the watchtower, unable to clearly see what was happening, while he waited for the signal. It was at times like this that all that could be done was trusting in one's companions.

![]() |

This is an uphill fight. He has two attacks and I have only one, and I can't cast shield because of silence...
Sarya noticed that she might be outmatched, but still attempted to fight on.
Attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10
Inspiration: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18
Damage: 1d8 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11

Hasn't worked buuut using an old device and a new browser... clumsy and slow but I'm back
Confident in his friends he cautiously edges forward so he looks down at the camp... then back to his allies.

Kasana Windfoot |

This is so stressful
If possible, Perception on the Tower to see if Kasana can tell what's happening up there: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 4 = 17

Kasana Windfoot |

"Sarya's still fighting," Kasana whispered to the others. "But I can't tell how it's going... Should we be worried?"
Trying to momentarily distract herself from the stress of waiting for Sarya's signal, Kasana turned away from the tower to give the camp below another look over for activity or changes.
Perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20

![]() |

Sarya fought on, hoping she would live.
Attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (7) + 6 = 13
Damage: 1d8 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12
Can someone else pop inspiration for me to get advantage? Maybe? If they want to... If not, I'll jump out and use Feather Fall (if I survive the AoO) once I'm out of the silence.

Cheshire Silvanshee |

Sorry for my absence. My account had some issues when the website crashed earlier this week. I will be trying to catch up.

hob 2 attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11, miss
damage: 1d10 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
hob 2 attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8, miss

OH MY GOD
Sarya took advantage of the hobgoblin's sloppiness and attacked furiously, yelling out a scream that nobody heard.
Die hob die!: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19
Damage: 1d8 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8
Her magical dark thinblade penetrated the hobgoblin's torso, and although it wasn't a deep thrust, it was enough for the rest of his life to fade.
Quickly, she sent the signal to the others. It was time. She didn't stop to regain her breath and quickly searched the guard tower for anything she could use to attack other than her bow. In such a tower, the guards were bound to have some sort of weapon, she figured.

Kasana Windfoot |

Woo way to go!!
As soon as Kasana saw the signal, she quickly whispered "Now Cheshire!!!" before firing a low arching shot at the wooden stairwell.
Quick question: should we all try and take the stairwell down as soon as possible or spread fire throughout the camp all at once?

Cheshire Silvanshee |

I am assuming we have a fire going for mundane projectiles to be lit. Also technically I think we already rolled on this. (I rolled a 10). If the stairs start to burn from Kasana's shot. Cheshire is going to hit the fence just to the north of the pass through into the briar.
Cheshire nods and lets his bolt go and he looks to see the reassuring sign of flames.

Orthos of Nethys |

The priest casts his second silence spell on the camp to cover as much as the enemy occupied area as possible.
For the duration, no sound can be created within or pass through a 20-foot-radius sphere centered on a point you choose within range. Any creature or object entirely inside the sphere is immune to thunder damage, and creatures are deafened while entirely inside it. Casting a spell that includes a verbal component is impossible there.

Kasana Windfoot |

Continuing her ranged assault on the camp, Kasana lit another arrow and launched it at the other end of the wooden stairwell, hoping to start weakening it enough to make it collapse.
Attack (Bow): 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (6) + 8 = 14
Damage (Bow) (If needed?): 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11

Gazul Ironfist |

Finally have account access!
Crossbow: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21
Damage: 1d10 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6
Silently Gazul added his crossbow to Kasana’s longbow. He wasn’t in any position to charge forward at a time like this, so he reasoned that this was how he could be most useful.

![]() |

Sarya took her bow and let go of her sword and started firing at the hobgoblins from her vantage point. She got ready in case anyone fired at her.
Shoot the same hobs the others are shooting. Cast Shield if any weapon attack is about to hit me or Absorb elements if any elemental attack is about to hit me.
Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6
Damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5
Her heart beating so fast from the fight, Sarya mistook the combatants and shot an arrow which almost hit Cheshire. "Sorry!", she said glad to be able to hear again.

Con Save: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 13

No cover bonus for being in the woods? Wouldn't the javelin have disadvantage for range on Kas?
The priest throws another bolt of fire, hoping to hurt the bugbear further...
1d20 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11 for 1d10 ⇒ 1
But his fire is weak and his aim terrible.
He ducks in behind the trunk of a nearby tree, hoping to find cover...

@GM: Counting this round, there are two arrows used now.
Sarya continued to let arrows loose at the bugbear.
Shoot @Bugbear: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25
Damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10
Le crit: 1d8 ⇒ 7
Her arrow dug deep in his shoulder, sticking out the other side in a gruesome manner and causing much pain.

Fabian Benavente |

Can we tell if the fire is doing any damage to the bridge at this point?
It's only been like 12 seconds since the bridge started burning so yes, the wood caught fire but has it been enough to weaken it...?
We'll see when they try to cross it...
No cover bonus for being in the woods? Wouldn't the javelin have disadvantage for range on Kas?
I'll give you cover now that you have said you were behind cover. I was also toying with the idea of them being able to hit you because of the elevation difference but decided that 'if you can hit them then they can hit you' unless you do something to void that.
The bugbear's javelin would have hit even with range penalties.
Questions?
Game on!

Gazul Ironfist |

With projectiles coming down, Gazul went down to one knee behind a tree for cover. It wouldn’t do to take an arrow to chest if he could avoid it. He loaded his crossbow and took aim at the bridge. He then waited for the foes to try and cross it, hoping that another bolt would make it collapse.
Ready to shoot the bridge: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10
Damage: 1d10 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7

Kasana Windfoot |

What, the bridge wasn't destroyed instantly in a huge explosion :p)
Kasana winced in pain as she pulled the large javelin from abdomen. Knowing that time was of the essence, she ignored the angry goblins down below for the time being (as well the floating gnome above) and continued her fiery assault against the bridge in the distance, this time striking at the center of wooden structure. She then moved behind a wide-looking tree as she prepared to fire another volley.
Attack (Bow): 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (14) + 8 = 22
Damage (Bow): 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8 If necessary

Cheshire Silvanshee |

It's only been like 12 seconds since the bridge started burning so yes, the wood caught fire but has it been enough to weaken it...?
Unless it goes for several rounds I don't think any of us were hoping to destroy it but fire might make them pick a slower route to get to us.

BTW, I'm still very busy at work so our regular game pace may suffer for the next week or so. For now, make sure you post as quickly as you can so I can take advantage of any free time in my schedule.

Kasana Windfoot |

So plan-wise, are we staying till the Bridge collapses then dipping? Fighting on for a bit afterwards maybe? And at the moment, I'm thinking of having Kasana ignoring everything her and keep attacking the bridge until it collapses unless someone thinks she should be doing something else.

Cheshire Silvanshee |

Should have said before this that I cast Mage Armor. Oops.
Cheshire took aim with a firebolt toward the fence trying to set the palisade fence ablaze just to the north of the opening.
Firebolt: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (17) + 5 = 22
Damage: 1d10 ⇒ 6

Kasana Windfoot |

Kasana fired another fiery arrow at the bridge, yelling, "Just collaspe already!" as she watched it soar through the air and impale itself at the top of the bridge near the charging bugbear. I imagined that it landed just south of the flames closest to the top of the bridge
Attack (Bow): 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (6) + 8 = 14
Damage (Bow): 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10 If needed

Gazul Ironfist |

Hit: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9
Damage: 1d10 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
With the smoke rising, Gazul’s aim was off. His bolt flew straight and true...into the smoke...instead of the bridge. With a curse he began reloading.

Orthos of Nethys |

The priest tried to correct his aim and fired off another bolt of fire at the bugbear...
1d20 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9 for 1d10 ⇒ 1
But again, his aim betrays him...
He takes cover again.
I'll post next round here in case you can use it...
-Next Round-
Orthos squints and tries again...

Sarya saw in terror as Cheshire took a volley of arrows and javelins and fell. She was sure the others would come to his rescue but they were burned by a hobgoblin throwing vials of chemicals. She forced herself to focus on the battle and shot an arrow at the alchemist.
Die hobo alchemist!: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 5 = 16

Her arrow found a spot in his defenses and she drew blood from his leg.

Heal: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
Hit Points: 31 - 24 + 6 = 13
That is a 6, 5 and 6 rolled. It's like the dice want Gazul to die! Gazul will move to the right, so further fireballs don't hit all of us again. On pins and needles for Kasana and Orthos. If they fail then we'll be 3 PCs down and 2 severely wounded, with the most dangerous enemies uninjured!
Gazul tried to duck into cover, but that was the thing about fire. Hiding behind foliage really didn't do much of anything. The dwarf lit up like a torch, burning from head to foot. He dropped and rolled on the ground to get the flames out. A parched prayer to Torag saw the flames die, with the most life-threatening of the injuries healing...such as the damage to his beard. But the dwarf was still far from recovered! As he moved away he managed to say "We need to fall back!"

Kasana Windfoot |

Damn there are alot of enemies in this camp!
Kasana beamed with joy as she finally saw the bridge begin to collapse in on itself. Unfortunately for her though, she wasn't able to enjoy the moment as almost simultaneously, a fiery inferno erupted over her head! Luckily spotting the blast just in time, she just managed to dive into a nearby bush at the last second to avoid the worst of it. Her head ringing as she rose, Kasana quickly surveyed the situation. With their main task accomplished and Cheshire somehow unconscious, she took this as a sign that it was time to leave, NOW. "Gazul, Orthos, we're leaving NOW!" she shouted in what she thought was their general direction, not even sure if there was anyone there to shout to. Her adrenaline spiking, she charged out of the woods at full speed towards the gnome, doing her best to avoid any projectiles coming her way. Grabbing his body roughly, she turned around and sprinted as fast as she could back towards the cover of the nearby forest muttering, "We're not dying today!" as she did so.

Mechanically, is it an action to begin dragging someone or would it be considered part of her movement?
