Doctor said everything is looking good. I just have to b eww careful with stenouabrwadibg and computer work. We have had 2 meetings in the past 2 days about schools in NM being closed foenrhebrwst of the year.

If you'll indulge me nerding out a tad...vegepygmies are a Gygax thing. They originally appeared in Expedition to the Barrier Peaks a wacky classic which was the first dnd module (Greyhawk) to include a crashed spaceship and rayguns and power armor, etc. Sort of like first chapter of the Pathfinder AP Iron Gods...crazy high tech sci-fi mixed with medieval stuff. The idea was that russet mold is from outer space. It grows on dead creatures and reanimates them into vegepygmies.

IG was actually the first game I attempted to DM on these boards...just barely got through the last fight of chapter 1 with one player. Looking back, holy crap, that was only 4 years ago...seems more like 10.

He was probably just looking at the not updated map. Since thats an AoE spell that allows affected creatures to be selected (unlike devil-may-care Thunderclap), had him use it on the group instead.

Wow, all in the singles, pretty devastating fight. The redcap's attack options were both pretty wtf over the top, not sure how a 1st level party would handle this (they would have got the redcap and 1 thorny).

The thorny regen is possible to disable with 3 different common damage types, but this group has none. Hurting a bit for arcane as a team...though I suppose next level Ionnis shall become the trickster.

I really wanted to check out your high level game Infinity, I just couldnt come up with a good idea lol.

I was stuck on a few investigator for a long time but if you ask my wife (Io), I always get stuck on the small details and never get the whole thing flushed out.

I have found that my favorite part of the game is the journey, so I find high-level games to be uninteresting to me... I wish it were otherwise, because I like playing with you guys...

You recover your channel divinity, that healed up Gor! Handy.


Since your second level, it will reset your channel divinity. That’s about it.

Taking a short rest allows us to utiliz hit dice to represent natural mending. You have Hit Dice = to you class and level. So as a 2nd level cleric, your Hit Dice is a d8 just like you hit point roll.

You have 2 1d8 Hit Dice that you can spend when you take a short rest. You roll how many ever you like and add your CON modifier to each one that you roll. You recover that many hit points upon completion of the short rest. Generally you recover your hit dice when you take a long rest.

So Quen, you would do this:

HD: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9
HD: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6

and get back 15 hp for example. Or you could choose to just roll one and save the other for a possible rest down the road, but in this case I would recommend spending both.

Hahahah, well, having Gio never have met a dryad before made missing that roll work well.

In retrospect I think the redcap fight was expected to end with the party being captured. End 'battle' might surprise you.
