Tiiny stows the Datastick in his backpack, and pulls out a battery.

"Here, take this, but I don't think you have 10 minutes Jagrur, so hurry it up!" Tiiny says, throwing the 20 charge battery his way.

"Kadef, can you please ask the Director if he keeps any weapons in his office, and is there anyway to access the power and turn it back on? Also, are the suits of armour going to try and kill us now?" Tiiny telepathically asks Kadef, as to not scare the Director

"May Triune protect us" Tiiny says in a strong squeaky voice, and turns towards the door.

Vecro decides to help his fellow kasatha in talking with the director

"Director, do you have any weapons and armor in the office? What is the security protocol?"

Vecro looks around the office in search of any technological devices that could use batteries

Vecro looks with interest at the alcohol collection in the corner
"Master Jagrur can we make simple burning bombs from that litter bottles?"

Vecro reaches one of his hands towards his mote and it immediately spills on him. In a couple of seconds, it spreads across his body covering it entirely with an always moving layer of darkness.

Jagrur smiles. "I always overestimate how long it will take....It is not much different than slipping a battery into a normal bolter...just requires me to do...", with that he reaches under the bolter and fits the 2 batteries in. "Gotcha, one weapon in the group active."

Looking over to the alcohol, Jagrur goes over to inspect it. With that, he takes a small nip from one of stronger vodkas. "It is good quality, but do we really want to set off the sprinklers, and fire would just draw attention to ourselve. But yeah, I probably could whip up a few molotov cocktail's if the good Director doesn't mind."

GM...should I even make a roll, this is something any 'good' teenager with half a brain can do? And I am going to take the 5th about if I was one of those 'good' teenagers (though if you look at my own bio page...you probably could guess). Any alcohol easily over 40% is good enough, and I am certain that he has some upholstery that we can pull apart real quick to get strips of cloth. Now....a lighter might be tougher...."

"I don't have any way to override the security protocol. I can give you a master password to login to the computers on the main floor, if you think that will help. Oh, and some of the doors respond to my handprint, so that should make things a little easier." He holds up his hand and gives a very forced smile.

Jargur thinks he could make 4 improvised Molotov cocktails out of the alcohol bottles present.

Bluerise Maps

As Murgatroyd looks out the door to the main floor, it is pitch dark and mostly—but not entirely—silent. The carpeting that was visible on the way in, with its gold key pattern reminiscent of Abadar’s holy symbol, is impossible to see without light though your darkvision will do, as are the dozens of cubicles that stretch across the floor towards the elevator. Two things are easy to detect: the smell of charred flesh and a few soft, mechanical hums that seem to be coming from different locations near the outer walls of the chamber and slowly moving around the rest of the office space.

DC 12 Perception:
There is a motion sensor right outside Ebaki's office, and if you don't move carefully you could set it off.

From here on, if you move out of Ebaki's office, please draw arrows on the map to show exactly which squares you enter.

Moving with the director toward the door, Kadef pauses and tries to look out. "What about the employees? Is there any sign of them?"

After getting 'Dross weapon active, he follows Murgatroyd out, having 'Dross keep right next to Murgatroyd. Jagrur will configure 'Dross's stance to be as low as possible . As he walks behind 'Dross, he keeps his eyes open and scanning the area.

And then joins the others in a way towards weapons.

@Murgatroyd - what you said, that the enemy controls the building is also mine as a player thought. However, as a PC we have no proofs to believe that. We heard an explosion, and in such situation, Vecro would probably assume that building security measures will aid them to stop the attackers. Unless I missed something

And if anyone wants to take point, please do - Murgatroyd is built to cause damage, not so much to take it, right now. And it seems I'm the only level 1 character!

Unless somebody else wants to (Vecro maybe?) I am fine taking point and probably the opposing fire. The ONLY thing I ask...somebody Else plans out Jagrur's move...I can't, as I know the scenario...but if somebody plans out how you want him to move, Jagrur and Dross will move that way. I do not want to do any meta here.

Hide Baragh and bring back Jagrur ;) I am fine with Vecro taking the lead. I didn't play this game so I know nothing. Feel free to suggest paths, I prefer in character suggestions, but routes on the map work as well.

Murgatroyd is a man (android) of faith. He sees evil lurking everywhere and always assumes the worst - his beliefs require no proof

Brookwillow will continue to follow the lead of those in front. His flashlight and spells are ready.

He makes sure his environmental seals are working on his armor.

I have "token spell" for some light, and possibly other applications if anyone can think of something. Brookwillow might be able to create something that could at least temporarily cover a sensor, though it might be best for someone else to try to sneak up to cover it.

A new thought occurs to the kasatha. "Director, Bordle went to the secret lab. Is it likely that they survived the initial attack and are trapped? Is there an alternate exit from there?"

As Murgatroyd is stepping out of the door, Tiiny and Kadef remind him of of the motion sensors, and spot that the space immediately outside the director's office is covered by one. You're able to slip past it staying close to the wall and getting behind the cover of the first cubicle. You continue towards security where your weapons are stashed, as you walk past the first cubicle immediately outside the director's office, you see an employee slumped over their keyboard. Marked on the map as a blue oval. In this cubicle, you also a see tier 2 computer with the hardened, miniaturization 2 (Bulk L), and self charging upgrades, and two mk 1 serums of healing, both of which Ebaki is happy to let you take.

At this point, someone can draw your plan to move to the security room, and assuming it works and everyone follows it, we can move to there.

Jagrur will...if nobody else will...go crawling on the floor to get the mk 1 serums. He will also look for the cylinder device and pull one off if at all possible...hopefully the one that had recently been discharged.

BTW is the armor gone, or did I miss reading it somewhere?

Kadef whispers ahead. "Something is coming up behind us. Jagrur, please allows me to fetch the items. I am closest and you are one of our best combatants. Someone take charge of Director Ebaki.

If I read Jagrur's post correctly, he'll let me go. Going to assume Jagrur offers advice to stay low and expresses a desire for a cylindrical security thingy.

Taking the dwarf's advice to stay low, Kadef drops to the floor and wriggles toward the cubicle. Once there he raises his head to mark the location of the vials in the dim glow of the computer's power light.

For the DM:
Just cut the description off at whatever point you feel right. Kadef only had to crawl 10' to get into the cubicle.

If a roll is needed my athletics and acrobatics mod are both +7 . Traveling: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8

Kadef crawls to the edge of the desk, and moves into a crouch, again trying to keep his head below desk level. He feels for the vials, clutches them, and puts them in his pack. The computer is next. Finally, he tries to pull the security cylinder from the power outlet.

You heard that initial set of small explosions and screams, but now it is mostly quiet. There is a burning smell, but no debris.

Kadef is able to stay low and recover the items from the cubicle. It's very clear from up close that the worker is dead and that there is a charred smell emanating from both the computer and the body.

You're fine to continue on the green and yellow lines.

Vecro doesn't like the idea, they have no intel on what is coming and splitting now might be the death of them all. He hopes it will not come to that.

He looks at the armor and watches at the weapon that it had. I recall the armor having some sort of crossbolter, can it be detached and used? Can the armor be used?

If the armor and weapon can be used:

"Jagrur can you detach the crossbolter? We might need it before we get to our weapons."

Looking at his allies
"Anyone of you needs an armor? Director do you have some protection under this clothing?"

Then he moves slowly first close to the wall just to turn left before the cubicle. He stops couple of times listening to any dangers that could await them.

"Move carefully."

I will mark my next move showing my intention, allowing others to comments on it. Next post I will move along that line.

Jagrur will look at the suit, and the weapon, to determine if the crossbolter can come loose, and if the suit has environmentals.

Engineering to take crossbolter off: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (16) + 9 = 25

If he feels there is not enough time to remove the bolter, or to get a person in the suit, Jagrur will just lug it around on his back...being a dwarf has it's perks.

I didn't say how far behind you it was that you heard something, just that you did.

Jargur's engineering check is sufficient to remove the tactical crossbolter from the armor, and Tiiny helps remove the 20 bolts that were on the armor. Between taking the time to remove the items from the cubicle and obtaining the crossbolter, you've attracted some company, as one of the other Abadararmors rounds the corner into Murgatroyd's line of sight, raising its own crossbolter as it sees him.

Brookwillow calls forth a wisp ally to distract the Abadarmor. Bright pulsating light fills the area directly around the enemy.

I have positioned it in the same square as the enemy. It sheds light in a 20' radius, and it provides harrying fire for the next ally to try to hit it (+2 to hit).

Crossbolter is a longarm weapon :( so it is not Vecro.
Vecro turns as he hears combat, this is the sound that he can recognize by now very quickly. His armor thickens and his movements become swift he turns around and rushes next to his allies trying to avoid the sensors.

He is running along the lines stopping on the unoccupied place.

"Jagrur you still have the bombs, light him up." while passing the dwarf kasatha throws casually.

I was thinking that since you and Tiiny have got Becky open and she's inert, a pair of wire snippers applied in the right place, as known by an engineer, could make sure she doesn't activate forever.

Kadef will follow behind Tiiny and Ebaki unless, Tiiny doesn't want to be the leader, which case Kadef will lead and follow the plotted course as far as possible.

From a quick look, they can tell that Becky won't become active.

If I was planning an attack and the target was Director Ebaki and I could suborn the security systems, I would at least sound an alarm, or better, lock the door and summon agents, if he tried one to open a door. Murgatroyd's fist and Tiiny's missiles really make Denty live up to its name.

The Abadarmors are constructs that have integrated taclashes in addition to their crossbolters. There's not much special about them.

You won't really know how the door opens until you move to it Kadef, though you haven't actually taken an action yet I don't think, unless you moved.

Denty returns the favor to Murgatroyd, by deploying its taclash and striking him with it.
Attack vs. KAC: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (17) + 7 = 24
Nonlethal Slashing Damage: 1d4 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8
