As my friend and I have been short on other party members in our RL group, he decided to run a solo campaign and so far, it's been going thoroughly well. So I thought I would give it a try on the boards and see if I can't land an interested DM, now that the holidays are over and I have a steady schedule to work with.
For those DMs who would be willing (and stunningly awesome enough) to give it a chance, I've been wanting to give the Falcon's Hollow modules a try as a full fledged campaign (most likely starting at Hollow's Last Hope, then heading right into Crown (and Revenge) of the Kobold King, possibly the Hungry Dead and eventually Carnival of Tears). Falcon's Hollow feels like a really good chance to have a Robin Hood-esque campaign, given how it's a very downtrodden village ruled by a petty kingpin. Beyond just going through the modules solo... I really leave any other details up to the GM. I'm not horribly picky about how campaigns are run. (This may also be a good chance for new GMs to have a simple campaign to play around it and test run. Like I said, I'm not picky and pretty easy going about rules, so there's no pressure on my end.)

I suggested we make it a duo campaign, but he's not too big into PbP. Pace is too slow for his liking. (I just think he's gotten used to the speed of our RL game - we went from level 1 to 5 by the end of our first session.)
Yeah. Turns out, hoarding all that experience for yourself really adds up quickly.
Also, yep, ideally starting at level 1. Possibly 2.
I was thinking of going it alone. Probably need to be more careful, but I enjoy a good challenge.
As for characters, I actually had two in mind, though one is probably much easier to work with than the other. The first is a human ranger with the Trapper and Falconer archetypes who specializes in archery and animal rearing. I figure the Trapper would be able to handle traps effectively and the Falconer would give him a good set of eyes in the sky and a helping hand in battle.
The other is a tad more silly, but amusingly fun, in my humble opinion. A kobold swashbuckler (mysterious avenger archetype) dons a mask and cape to become the enigmatic "El Dragón", believing that despite being the only kobold within 10 miles, nobody can recognize him in his disguise. Basically, he's probably gonna be the world's most ridiculous Zorro knock off and going on adventures to save the weak from injustice.
The second idea would obviously take a bit more work, fun as it may be, so I have the other just in case.
Agreed. Much as I absolutely adore the idea of a masked kobold hero, a ranger has both the combat and the skills to make it capable of venturing on his own with any chance of survival.
At this point, the only thing I have left to stat up is the falcon itself. Beyond that, he'd be ready to go!
