So far it seems that you guys can clean up any tentacles before it can snatch someone away, so I will call this one, otherwise we are wasting time getting to 10 tentacles.

@Darrioos What you can tell is whatever those tentacles belonged to must have been enormous and deadlier than a group of four adventurers, a drunk dhampir, and a Shepherd and goat.

Suddenly the storm ceases immediately and abruptly, and the water that was pouring into the lighthouse recedes.
Having rescued a bunch of villagers, you now have a Diplomacy bonus of +6 if you want them to give you more info.

A broad shouldered man comes forth and thanks you. "I am Estian and I own a ferry-boat. If you agree to help our village and travel to Nal-Kashel, I can take you there on my boat."

With your trip secured to the Island of Nal-Kashel, you give Estain a bunch of offerings he didn't ask for in return for the ride, but he graciously accepts the fruit and coin.

"Make what preparations you need to, because at dawn we will make for the island."

You now get a day of rest, which the lighthouse has enough shelter to cover you guys. Feel free to let me know if there is any special prep you need to do before setting off to the island.

Dawn the next day comes, and Estian meets you all for the trip to Nal-Kashel. He takes you out to his large rowboat which can fit up to five passengers. Seeing as there is six and one goat, you may need to figure out what to do about that.

Sounds like the swimmers are Darrioos and Tesson

Most of you board the boat, with Tesson holding on and keeping himself afloat and Darrioos being a natural at keeping pace.

The island materializes ahead as imposing cliffs lift weedchoked ruins far above the frothing sea. Miraculously, the broken tops of several towers orbit the island in slow, lazy ellipses, some plunging into the ocean before emerging aloft again. A huge blanket of floating jellyfish lurk just below the gray waters as Estian croaks a rough sea shanty under his breath. He sniffs the salty air and nods toward the jellyfish bloom, his wide mouth breaking into a toothy grin. “That’s a bad place to be right now, surely, I’d say!”

Darrioos:

You feel an odd sensation come about you, but you are able to ignore it fine enough without issue. As if some outside influence tried to see you.

As the boat draws closer to the island, Volsung is entranced by the floating tower tops.

Hearing Darrioos, Volsung shakes his head as though to clear it.

Tesson has a sense motive mod of +4, so that's a total of 24, though I don't think it changes anything.

Having trouble keeping pace with Darioos, Tesson soon gives up and goes on his own pace. Once in a while, he stops to look around. However, he notices that Estian seems to have stopped rowing and singing, and now seems very agitated by something.

Suddenly, Estian starts screaming and ripping at his shirt. You all notice that he has gills, just like Darrioos. Estian starts to babble and garble unintelligible words, before his flesh turns a green hue and his mouth grows into a wide toothy maw.

Las was going to drink his Touch of the Sea on Darrioos warning if the boat was some distance form the shore. But I couldn't post that until someone noticed something funny was up and I haven't had a chance to post since my last post. So would like to have drunk that extract if allowed.

What Las knows about Skum..:

Skum are the most prolific and successful of the countless races created by the aboleths to serve as slaves. At the height of the aboleth empire, skum were legion and their armies waged many wars upon the land, yet now that the aboleths are in decline, skum have been set loose to manage on their own.

The skum Estian starts rocking the boat vigorously with its last moments of consciousness. It appears that as Estian's effort to rock the boat is drawing the attention of Jellyfish from below, and they now are coming up around the boat! The waters are now very dangerous!

Fortune smiles on the Pathfinders, however, as they manage to hang on tight to the rocking boat and not fall in. The skum Estian then falls off the boat, and begins to sink into the waters. His form can be seen swiftly vanishing into the depths, and jellyfish take over the field of view.

You now have another spot available on the boat and a bunch of Jellyfish swarming around.

Can Volsung touch Darioos?

If so, I can give him the Compel Alacrity mesmerist trick which will give him an additional 15 feet of movement for one round which doesn't provoke AoO. This might help to escape from the jellyfish.

@Las Lejas You know that uric acid is just a myth. A better method of treating the possible stinging is the chemical makeup of sodium chloride and dihydrogen monoxide (Salt Water). Otherwise, zap the bastards and that may make them shoo away.

@Tesson Correct, out of initiative. The island city of Nal-Kashel ruins is about a few hundred feet away. If you attempted to row there (Survival), you would make contact to the eastern beach.

ok then Tesson will go flying, letting the spot in the boat for Darrioos. With a flying speed of 120 ft per round as a double move, Tesson could reach the beach pretty quickly I guess.

Tesson flies to the beach head at breakneck speed, and the other Pathfinders row the boat to catch up, bypassing the Jellyfish horde.

Part Two - The Ruined Isle of Nal-Kashel

Imposing cliffs rise above the frothy sea, collapsing at a rocky beach of dark sand. Graceful spires and golden domes pierce the island’s thick foliage high above, and the remains of a ruined road of white slate crumble down the cliffs onto the beach. Overhead, a half dozen broken towers float in slow elliptical orbits around the island. A large rock covered in graffiti juts from the sand in the middle of the beach.

Slide 3 for grid, Slide 4 for large map. For all intents and purposes, you don't know any of the locations unless listed in white on the left of Slide 4.

Before getting out of the boat, Volsung will re-implant False Flanker in Darrioos.

Once ashore, Volsung looks back and remarks...

Such a fine ship, shame about its captain.

He then moves forward 30 feet, casting detect psychic significance.

The rock is now within the 40-foot radius of the spell.

Volsung also studies the graffiti seeing if it contains any languages that he knows or patterns he can understand.

Las approaches the stone, and suddenly feels ill. Disturbing glimpses and visions start crowding his mind all at once. They vanish just as quickly as they appear. Transforming people, strange eyes, and a deep darkness with an infinite depth below haunt him, along with a deep and guttural laughter.

Las Lejas is now sickened for ??? duration.

@GM Worg - I don't know how you'll feel about this, and I'm fine if you say "No, you can't do this once you've seen the saving throw die roll."

Volsung has the spell burst of adrenaline which would have given him a +4 on his Fort save. I know that his Fort save is his worst, and if I was aware that I was about to make such a saving throw, I would have used this spell.

Feeling frustrated by his failure to understand the graffiti with his psychic and linguistic abilities, Volsung casts detect magic and attempts Knowledge (arcana) with the assistance of his wand of heightened awareness.

Knowledge (arcana: 1d20 + 4 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 4 + 4 = 20
