Tania shoots her pistol at one of the Jinsul, you've drawn his attention away from the control device as well now.

Atheletics: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10
And has problems figuring how to climb down the demigod without possibly putting his foot or hand into a sensitive spot.
I am guessing that I will need to do 30' of climbing, and then 30' of a difficult slope on Ailuros, as you say his torso is a pillar, and the legs would be a toppled column? If so..that means 2 successful checks to get down....sigh

Direct quote from the scenario; Ailuros’s torso functions as a standing column, while their legs function as toppled columns.
Standing columns are 30 feet tall, and creatures can sharetheir spaces with no penalty; Medium or smaller creatures that share
a square with a column gain cover.Toppled columns function as low walls
So the one you are on is 60ft high, Ailuros is 30ft high..so you need to bridge 30ft down somehow to get down on top of him and then you can walk relatively easy down - difficult terrain

I only ever meant to protect my faithful and just want for them to be happy and safe."

After taking a bit of break you climb back up out of the pit.
Several elite jinsul commanders fend off Starfinder forces from the fortifications built around the edge of the pit. As the Starfinders gain ground, the jinsuls retreat into the lower levels of the structure, making them easy targets for you.
You enter this underground chamber it is dark, and the metal walls rise to the ceiling 20 feet overhead.
There is one Jinsul commander wearing armor and wielding a pistol that's leaking small flames and trailing smoke.
You actually start a bit further apart but my estimate is that you'd just use the first or possible 2 rounds moving forward due to all the walls in between so skipping those to save some time and just moved the Jinsul and your party closer together

Using mitigate to reduce it by 2 and my DR1 so 12 damage
I'm pretty sure DR only works against physical damage and not exploding my mind type of damage
The numerical part of a creature’s damage reduction is the amount of bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage the creature ignores from each attack. Mindthrust damage doesn't have any of these types so isn't reduced.
And yes, the effects are in effect from now on in every encounter. I'll admit I forgot until you mentioned it. Also the weakened Herald is only for table tier 9+ so doesn't effect you guys
