The taller Tian woman joins the conversation. "We have been making good time moving since we cleared the last deep section of snow. We are stop resting for 15 minutes to catch our breath and rest the horses. What you can help with most is protecting us from the bandits. They have made several attacks and we are down several men. There are some spare supplies in the lead caravan. If you need something take it. Hopefully you can fare better with them that their previous owners."

There is a composite shortbow with 10 arrows, a greataxe, and a greatclub.

"And its time for us to move out and hope we don't see more" Adds Lan before moving off to get the caravan ready to set off again.

Tok'Tok says nothing, but does walk alongside the caravan, doing his best to stay above the snow. Eventually he gives up and opts to clamber up on top of it.

Anders will assist with getting the caravan moving again if there's anything he can help with.


Once the carvan gets underway Lin Po and Ti Lan gather you to walk with them a little way from the rest of the caravaners. The snow is lighter here and the caravan is not moving overly quickly due to tired horses and injured people so Tok'tok finds it easy enough to keep up.

Lin Po begins to tell their tale of woe.
"Not long after we picked up the amulet we found out there was a Kami trapped within. It sent us a message, it was vague, mostly feelings, but it communicated to us that it was some sort of nefarious force in the forest would try to capture it. We got the sense that the kami's ward was nearby so we persuaded all these people to take what we thought was a minor detour. But we were wrong and the detour was less than minor. Then to add insult to injuries the amulet was stolen." the stocky man sags, his shame clear. "We caught sight of the thief several times, they were clearly going this way too, but we couldn't catch them. The spirits of the forest began to guide us and we thought they would lead us to the road but we were wrong... again... they were helping us follow the thief's trail."

Ti Lan places a comforting hand on her companions shoulder and glares at the party, daring them to criticize. "We were wrong and we led these people astray. Now you have come we ask you too take over where we failed an recover the artifact while we rectify our mistakes and get these people to safety."

Ti Lan softens, reassured by the lack of condemnation.

"The thief was a Kitsune. Armed, he stabbed one of our group during the theft.
The amulet is a rectangular piece of wood around the size of my palm enclosed in a brocaded silk bag of red and gold."

Lin Po smiles "Thank you."

This pleasant moment is cut short by a loud cry "山賊!
私たちは攻撃されています!"

Lan swiftly translates "We are under attack!"

As she speaks you see a group of armed men come into view around the front of the caravans.
They wearing leather armour and holding a club in one hand and a loaded sling in the other

What were the chances, Fadryn is the only player that didn't post for the last month. Can we delay him till the end of the round? If the player shows up he will go, otherwise, I will bot him. As now we will wait for him to do the move before anyone else could go. I could bot Fadryn now, but I want to give him a chance to post before I do so.

Hopper moves a bit down the road and pulls out his poisoned dagger.

He quickly looks at the group of enemies and with one move pulls out his alchemist's fire and tosses it at an enemy next to the Snirt.

The idea was right but the bomb gets entangled somewhere between the bushes.

2nd pull out dagger
3rd: attack using quick bomber to take out a bomb in the same round. Critical fail in the attack means that the splash even does not happen.


Electricity arcs between two bandits and while one cries out in pain the other silently crumples into the snow

One of the bandits darts past Snirt to flank Valeros but his swings with the club connect with nothing but snowflakes

The dagger had Giant Centipede Venom on it. If hit enemy need to do Fortitude save DC17 if failed he gets poisoned (going to stage 1 and taking 1d6 poison damage). Next round he needs to repeat the save.
