A well-oiled circus of death machine!

Myth-Speaker Prey for Death

Truly!

With precision, you take out the remaining enemy before it can do any further damage.

With the moment of respite, you are able to assess your surroundings a bit more. A campfire burns in the southwest corner of this room. The remains of two messily butchered cattle are heaped near this fire. In addition to the staircase leading up to the west, passageways exit from the north and south in this room. Three stacks of heavy stones—each stack about 4 feet tall—stand in the southern opening. (Medium and smaller creatures can move between the stacks, which are difficult terrain.)

Beyond their clubs, the warriors who attacked wear gruesome trophies harvested from past victims, only one has a trophy of any value: a bloodseeker beak.

The halfling looks about, holding in her vomit at the sight of the butchered cattle. Taking a quick glace at the weapon attachment, "Much too brutal. I don't think Desna would be too pleased if i bore such brutal tactics."

Would love to use it, but would not suit my character tbh.

"Well, not really sure what i expected from this place, but i have a feeling it's only about to get more challenging from here on out. Orm, how are your wounds looking?" As she aproaches her friend to heal him slightly. She takes a short break, hopefully allowing for her skills to take affect once again.
Thanks to continual recovery, if we take 10 minute breaks after each combat, i think i can keep healing you. But again, not sure how time stringent this is.

"Praise Desna!" at Papillon's medical treatments.

Adora could use some heals as well - I'm not sure about the timing issue either, but I'll roll for you in case there is time. Each healing attempt takes 10 minutes, though, right? If we've already waited 30 minutes I don't have a sense if 10 more for Adora makes sense or not

I don't have any sense we are under immense time pressure.

Myth-Speaker Prey for Death

No imminent time pressure. You just took out what seemed like a patrol, so you have a bit of wiggle room. You can move through the stones, yes. They would prevent a Large creature from advancing without difficulty.

Madame P's healing ministrations surely make up for a little bit of violence in her goddesses eyes--even the Song of the Spheres has been known to take up her starknife against creatures of darkness.

Speaking of which, you continue into the dimly-lit pyramid. To the north, an odd-shaped room is divided by several piles of stacked stones, each stack about four feet tall. Large nests made of sticks and mud are spread around the room on both sides of the stone stacks. (One nest has two eggs in it--each cream-colored and the size of a small vase.) The northwestern corner of the room contains a large hut made of poorly tanned hides and topped with the skull of some enormous fanged beast. The eye-watering smell of xulgaths, animal dung, and unwashed reptiles fills this room.

On the far side of the stone barrier, two Large, agressive-looking dinosaurs lumber into view. They chuff and stomp as they see you, but they seem too big to pass through the stone barrier without aid.

GM Screen:

1d20 + 8 ⇒ (11) + 8 = 19

Derrick recognizes the eggs as being from a deinonychus. They might be valuable to the right collector, if they are kept warm and safe.

Papillon nods, "This room looks like one large incubating room. You're right though, we should come back for there. Interesting however, where would these creatures even find dinosaur eggs like this. I wonder what they are plotting."

Can i spot anything else in the room of particular interest?

Myth-Speaker Prey for Death

Madame P flicks back the curtain and the flimsy barrier breaks free of the doorway, its anchoring rod clattering to the ground.

In side the now-revealed room is a chamber that contains a row of square columns stretching from west to east. The columns are covered in a phosphorescent lichen glowing with a dim, green hue. Tattered black curtains hang between many of the columns, obscuring much of the room.

When you interrupt, three xulgaths were hovering over two turkey-sized dinosaurs, urging them to jump and claw at a basket hanging from the ceiling. When they see you, the xulgaths command the creatures to attack!

On her turn...sorry posting now in advance of NYE tonight.

Pappilon moves forward, to fire her moonbeam onto black.

Myth-Speaker Prey for Death

Junebug's flying debris scores a critical hit on blue, and Madame P blasts black with a well-aimed moonbeam.

With their plans of ambush in disarray, the xulgaths move to attack.

Stunning Fist? Fort Save DC 20 :
When you target the same creature with two Strikes from your Flurry of Blows, you can try to stun the creature. If either Strike hits and deals damage, the target must succeed at a Fortitude save against your class DC or be stunned 1 (or stunned 3 on a critical failure). This is an incapacitation effect.

... and then moves to pursue the blue one, doing an assured trip.

Myth-Speaker Prey for Death

Between attacks from Derrikk, Adora, and Orm, the red xulgath is knocked out of the fight. The blue enemy is able to evade Orm's Trip attempt, and it strikes back at the monk with its dagger, finally scoring a single hit.

It then moves back toward the group, willing to brave Adora's jaws for the safety of numbers.

"Nice work! Last one!" says the cleric, as she takes her starknife and slashes away at the final creature in the room.

Hoping that that would finish off the creature, and if not, she would do this on her turn immediately afterwards...

Pleased with her work, Papillon looks around the room curiously. "Do you think they are breeding these creatures? For what purpose, to what end? It's like someone wants to bring back the prehistoric era back to life. A time before Aroden."

We can save those other rolls for after combat.

Alone and outgunned, the last xulgath makes a run for the east side of the room, rushing past Orm.
