Pulling herself together and putting on her happy face, which only looks slightly forced, Pai brightly chirps: "All right! Now! Which way to the old temple?"

She starts heading out...in the wrong direction. As soon as someone corrects her, her bright peach complexion flushes deeply as she giggles self-consciously. "Ooops! Guess I got turned around there. Lead on, fearless leader!" Focus on the task at hand. That's behind me now. Whew! All done! Yup, sirree. Gonna check out a ruined temple. Gonna be bad people and monsters in there, for sure. Criminals, yup. Gonna keep murdering people if we don't stop 'em. Yup, sirree. Fortunately for the group, her endless nervous-pep-talk chattering is only in her mind for now.

”Perhaps this way would be more efficient,” Angoldir suggests as Pai departs. ”But we would best served by remaining on our guard as we approach. If there are other servants of Shax at the shrine, they will no doubt gladly add us to their list of victims.”

Following Kasadei's brief instructions, you make your way to the old shrine of Sarenrae. It looks just as abandoned as she said. The shrine's stone walls still stand, but the wood-shingled roof that once sheltered the single-story building has fallen in almost completely. The shrine’s front door has fallen away as well, and the stained-glass windows lie shattered, covering the ground nearby with colourful shards. A small graveyard, overgrown with weeds, stands just off to the side of the structure.

If the ceiling in the stairwell is high enough he leaps down the stairs, allowing him to have some movement left when he reaches the bottom, and sees what there is to see. Descending the staircase, you find yourself in a brick-lined catacomb. Filaments of pale fungus grow along the walls, while a thick layer of mud lies on the floor showing numerous human-sized footprints running along the center. These are wights! Wights are humanoids who rise as undead due to necromancy, a violent death, or an extremely malevolent personality. Their flesh is twisted by evil, their eyes burn with hatred, and their touch steals the very life-force of the living.

Identify Undead (DC 18 Knowledge: Religion):
You know an additional useful piece of information: Any living creature slain by a wight becomes one in a matter of seconds!

Identify Undead (DC 23 Knowledge: Religion):
You know an additional useful piece of information: These creatures have no ranged attacks, but their very touch can be permanently debilitating—if you can fight from a distance, do so!

Identify Undead (DC 28 Knowledge: Religion):
Undead like these are immune to mental attacks, mortal problems like disease and bleeding, and never get tired.

She calls down to everyone else: "Uh, guys? This isn't going to work. Come back up here! You can draw them out and then we can deal with them one at a time or something! ... For the love!" Her exclamation at the end comes out quavery, as the terror of dealing with scary-scary undead wars with her irritation at the group's foolhardy tactics.

Drusilla, you're about halfway up the stairs and around the corner from the wights. You'd have to move into the room to get LOS on them.

The same I think goes for Angoldir who probably can't actually identify the monsters until he's had a chance to see them. Abaal still has at least 10 feet of movement left I was saving from last round to move out of the way once he saw what there was to see. If he needs to move out of the way for others to get down (though stairs are difficult terrain and not everyone started out as close to them, etc...).

Drusilla swings her morning star with all her might, and a sickening crunch echoes through the room as it crushes the shoulder joint of the nearest wight. Undeterred, the creature reaches out its other arm towards the Spear-Maiden before moving further into the melee. Instants later, its foul allies join in the attack! But the skilled warrior stands her ground and knocks back their deadly limbs.

The Black wight has been damaged (by Drusilla), did an attack against her, and then a 5’ step to the right. The Yellow and Blue wights did move actions to advance and then attacked as well. All of them missed--whew!

These stairs aren’t difficult terrain, for what it’s worth. (my understanding is stairs are only difficult terrain if considered very steep, and since this is PFS, I’ll only apply that if called out as such in the adventure)

GM Dice:

Black attack roll vs. Drusilla: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 4 = 14
Yellow attack roll vs Drusilla: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
Blue attack roll vs Drusilla: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12

In Abaal's hands the black falchion flashes in the magical firelight like a fan blade. The swordsman's blows are aimed to open path through the lead zombie.

+1 adamantine falchion v black (power attack): 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (19) + 10 = 29 damage: 2d4 + 14 ⇒ (2, 3) + 14 = 19
THREAT!
confirm?: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (10) + 10 = 20 damage: 2d4 + 14 ⇒ (3, 1) + 14 = 18

+1 adamantine falchion v black (power attack): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21 damage: 2d4 + 14 ⇒ (4, 4) + 14 = 22

Yeah probably. This is where all the good rolls went. If that incapacitates the lead wight [it better! ;)], Abaal steps up into its space unless Yaiho, or Grunyak wants it.

Abaal destroys one of foul undead with a powerful swing, and then moves forward to damage a second!

Abaal, you destroyed the Black wight with your first hit, so unless you'd rather otherwise, I'll assume you 5' step forward and do the second attack against the Blue wight which is now badly damaged.

No action taken this round. I should think about getting at least a throwing weapon.

The divine might of Torag, God of the Dwarves, shines through the room, instantly destroying one of the wights!
