Jelissa M'Barra |

Round 7
She smiled at Elize and says, "Any time, beautiful." Then she charges forward and misses the target behind Thorn.
scythe +1: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9
damage: 2d4 + 6 ⇒ (4, 1) + 6 = 11
She yells in surprise, "Run, I have never seen anything like that before!"
Round 8
scythe +1: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14
damage: 2d4 + 6 ⇒ (4, 2) + 6 = 12
Hiting the target and putting it down again for good. She then takes a move away from Tar Thing!

Titus "The Titan" Armstrong |

Round 8
Elize looks on to see if she is aware of what this thing could be. She double moves away getting closer to Titus.
K.Religion: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17
Titus moves down to aid thorn.
Bite Attack: 1d20 + 13 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 13 + 1 + 2 = 34
Damage: 2d6 + 13 + 1 ⇒ (5, 5) + 13 + 1 = 24 Type B/S/P
I "X'd" the ones I know were killed. I'm not sure which one the bomb too out around dark blue.

Azana |

Round 8
With most of the zombies dead or down Azana remained unwilling to waste magic on these creatures. No one was in real danger at the moment, it seemed. Instead she fired another shot from her pistol, floating over to a better position.
To Hit: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (13) + 3 = 16
Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 5

GM Wolf |

Pick one, your choice Titus.
Round 8 & 9
7d20 ⇒ (12, 16, 2, 6, 13, 3, 17) = 69 The zombies continue to flail about recklessly trying to find... brains!Normal zombies are no threat to the tanks in front... I hope you can keep that up! They are more of a hindrance as the true threat appears behind.
With a clenching of the black metal gauntlet both Kyrie and the gunman are tripped and pulled into the goo. Their screams of agony are heart piercing as a guttural chuckling comes from the black armored knight. They stop screaming as they get pulled under at the end of Round 9. A few strands of the tar like goo almost get to the mule that is wailing in fright as it pulls on its rope which is caught on a Boulder.
The monk ontop of his panther are nearly out of sight taking a mule with them.
I didn't tell you yet but all movement past your line of battle is difficult terrain. Deep sand! I moved Elize back some based on this.

Thorn, Omen bringer |

Round 9
Holding his ground he swings again but fails with the attack continuing to keep his shield before him and hoping his armor holds true still.
Longsword: 1d20 + 7 - 2 - 3 ⇒ (10) + 7 - 2 - 3 = 12
damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8 Holding a Tower shield and attacking -2, Level Drain -3
"Will someone please tell me why they are screaming!!!" Then it stops and he is freaked out even more.

Jelissa M'Barra |

Round 9
scythe +1: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11
damage: 2d4 + 6 ⇒ (4, 2) + 6 = 12
Slice and a miss, she then yells, "You dont want to know! Kill the zombies and RUN! DONT LET THE BLACK BLOOD TOUCH YOU!"
She is barely keeping it together, ready to retreat next round.

Kælen |

Round #9
Since helpless/dead opponents don't stop a charge I can charge up to help Thorn
Kealen charges up to take out some of the zombies around Thorn.
"Almost done!"
Charge vs. Red with Big Nose: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (3) + 13 = 16
Damage: 1d8 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7
Again, 3x damage, so 21.

Titus "The Titan" Armstrong |

Round 9
Kaelen you don't just multiply. On a charge you would roll 3d8 + 18 ⇒ (6, 8, 8) + 18 = 40
Elize: "I'm not sure if it's undead or just magic. Whatever it is it's very powerful. The other Kyrie and the Gun guy... They're gone."
Elise moves forward more awaiting Titus. (double move)
Titus steps and attacks two more of the zombies on Thorn.
Bite Attack: 1d20 + 13 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 13 + 1 = 27
Damage: 2d6 + 13 + 1 ⇒ (5, 4) + 13 + 1 = 23 Type B/S/P
Claw Attack: 1d20 + 13 + 1 ⇒ (14) + 13 + 1 = 28
Damage: 1d8 + 9 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 9 + 1 = 12 Type:B/S
Claw Attack: 1d20 + 13 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 13 + 1 = 27
Damage: 1d8 + 9 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 9 + 1 = 13 Type:B/S
He bites and hurls another to the ground while ripping apart the second with his claws.
"Elize I'm on my way."

Azana |

"Unholy hell!" Azana yelled as two of her team mates were...melted? Absorbed? It seemed like this was going South, fast. Instead, she made her way to the mule bound by the boulder, trying to untie the creature and lead it away if possible, or send it running if nothing else. Since she could fly she was probably safe.
Probably.

Kælen |

Round 9
Kaelen you don't just multiply. On a charge you would roll 3d8+18
Ok, thanks for the info, I'm kinda new to the charge mechanics. If I ever mess anything else up feel free to tell me.

GM Wolf |

Azana was just able to untie the rope when...
Round 10
The knight in black armor cackles and begins to move towards Azana. He raises his hand and you can see the black stuff raise up and stick to the mule, some of the strands raise up to you too Azana. You twist and turn in the air but luckily none of the black stuff touched you.
Reflex DC 15: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (14) + 1 = 15

Jelissa M'Barra |

Round 10
She runs... getting to the rock she stops before running into it.

Thorn, Omen bringer |

Round 10
He runs... he only gets 40 feet away, but that is his speed in sand. He doesn't care about what the zombie might do as it is the last one.
1d20 ⇒ 13

Titus "The Titan" Armstrong |

Round 10
Elize continues to move following Thorn awaiting her husband.
Titus roars out as his body shifts and becomes that of a lion. He moves to his wife awaiting her to hop on.

Azana |

Round 10
Yelping as the black knight and his goop went after her, Azana bolted away at her fastest flying speed, going up and away at the same time.

Jelissa M'Barra |

First she slams her scythe into the ground. "Good we are all here, well... except for Kyrie and her gunman. Shall we move South to those buildings?" She says after catching her breath. Wiping sweat from her brow, then pulling out her waterskin to take a drink.

Titus "The Titan" Armstrong |

Elize and the Lion both nod.
"It will be tough to fight what we don't understand. If we would have engaged it maybe we would have learned something but what it did to Kyrie and the Gunman was terrible." She lowers her head. She then pats the lion.
"Come dear head to the buildings there."

Azana |

"S-south, s-sure," Azana, as she floated along behind. She was curled into a ball, and it was clear that no part of her conscious brain was involved in the process of moving. "It-it'll be f-fine, yeah-ah." She sniffed heavily. "I can al-al-always huh-heal anyone huh-huh-who gets huh-huh-hurt. Unless th-the-they meeeeelt.," she sobbed.

Titus "The Titan" Armstrong |

As the get to the buildings. Elize dismounts and Titus shift back.
"Relaxe Azana. I can't say it will be easy. I was alive yesterday. Now not so much. We are here to try and save this world either through calling of our god or other reasons. I'm sure you will see worse, but we do this so the people that are left won't have to. Or that is the hope. I just hope there are people left to save. Is everyone else alright?"
Titus takes point as they move in to search the buildings.

Jelissa M'Barra |

"Yes Azana that was for sure an unsettling sight. Come down here and float by me for a while." She asks her to come down. If she does she would give her a hug and hold her while she walked with one arm.

Thorn, Omen bringer |

He is working on catching his breath...

Azana |

Moving over to float nearer, Azana blew her nose and glanced down at the farmstead. "It was just so...sudden," she said, and sniffed. "I can heal people - really, I can - but not from...that. I don't even know what that was. That guy in black armour, he looked like he escaped from a video game."
Sniffling again, she took a quick peek at the farmstead. Mostly to make sure there were no black armoured figures lying in wait with dark goop.
Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9

Titus "The Titan" Armstrong |

"Be careful as we approach. If there are people they will be cautious and ready to defend from the dead. We need to call out but if there are dead we will alert them. Does everyone agree?"
Titus takes point and approaches cautiously. If no one has a better plan he will begin to call out for any survivors or living people.
Perception: 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (8) + 19 = 27

Jelissa M'Barra |

"Sudden is what normally happens in my kind of work. I have survived 22 missions so far and we lose half of our members or more each time. It was Black Blood, if you are not strong enough its touch can kill. Though that felt more alive... or maybe it was Dark Water. But we arent in the ocean. Hopefully whatever spell the dark one used to summom it took a lot of effort. Video Game?"
"Titus, we should call out to them. Then the undead will leave any hidey hole they are in to get us." She suggests.

Azana |

"I...until this started, I was just...learning. Now everyone keeps dying. I'm...not used to it." Azana shook her head. She didn't want to get used to it, either.

Jelissa M'Barra |

"That is fine, most people including most adventurers don't take death lightly. Nor should you get used to it, dear. Once we clear this farmstead we will take a break. Try to hold it together until then." She says trying to comfort Azana while making a few side glances at Thorn.

GM Wolf |

No response to Titus.
The door opens up.
The floor is hard wood, and has a small layer of dust on it. It doesn't look like it has been looted at all. Several lamps were still on. The lights in the kitchen are on, with an oven, sink, refrigerator, and plenty of tiled counter space.
The house was small but still had 4 rooms. The entry room, living room, kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom. The kitchen has three extra doors. In the kitchen one door goes out the back, one the pantry, and the third was down stairs.

Thorn, Omen bringer |

He walks up to the front door and tries to open it.

Titus "The Titan" Armstrong |

Titus enters cautiously. He didn't have a chance to take much stock int he castle or manor they were summoned to, but now he has to wonder what some of these things are.
"What are these lights? Magic? The dust would suggest no one has been here in some time. There are livestock. It's a bit out in the open but, there is shelter and food. If this is a farm there could be a settlement close. They would need to barter and sell for things they need. There could be a well-worn path or road. I will go out and search for such and if there are any survivors. Elize stay, I won't be long."
She smiles and nods at him.

Azana |

Rubbing her eyes and focusing on what they were doing, Azana answered,"No, we've learned to create a kind of power called electricity. It's the same thing that lets a person sends messages from there brain to there muscles, or even creates lightning, but it can be used to power devices. It's usually generated elsewhere and transported via wires, though, so eventually, electric devices will stop working. Unless we create alternatives. Which might be doable."
Looking around, Azana added, "This has only been happening a few days at this point, so the owners might have...fallen, and the place would still look good. And, well, we have transportation that means we can move stuff 30 or 40 miles in an hour, with ease. There probably is something not too far away, and we were at that town not that long ago, but it's not automatically true."
Sniffing a little, Azana added, "Sorry, I wasn't paying attention. Were there still animals outside?" She opened the fridge to see what had gone moldy, and how long it had likely been since anyone was here.

Thorn, Omen bringer |

He touched things with interest and surprised several times when the electrical devices did something.

Jelissa M'Barra |

She was a bit more worried about where everything was and that there were no threats hiding. Checking all the rooms and doors.
After opening the bedroom door she quickly shuts it. Then pulling out some chalk marks it with an x. Finding the door to the basement in the same way she quickly shuts it and marks it with an x too.
She then alerts the group in a loud voice, "Doors with x's on them have a corpse in that room, be ware."

GM Wolf |

Most of the items in the fridge were moldy some more than others. You also note that the fridge is colder than most fridges you have used in the past.
Jellissa finds the bedroom filled with flies and the horrible smell of decay. With the quick opening of the door you see a corpse in the bed, luckily it does not rise. Opening the door to the basement is the same situation, you can smell decay and see a swarm of flies, though with it dark no corpse can be seen.

Titus "The Titan" Armstrong |

Do I find anything searching outside? A path or road away that may lead to a town? Azana said transportation is there a Car? Not that Titus knows what that is :) Titus will only spend 10 minutes or so circling around the house.
Perception: 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (6) + 19 = 25

Azana |

"'Kay," Azana says as she looks at the mouldy food. "This is a fridge," she added to the others. "Think of it as an icebox, powered by electricity. It keeps food cold. All the stuff in here has gone off, though, so it means no one's been here for a few days at least." She cleaned the crap out and threw it away as she explained. She wasn't sure if they'd stay here, but there was no point in leaving it a mess. It might be useful.

Jelissa M'Barra |

Not hearing what Azana said at all, popping into the kitchen she sees the last of the food put into a bag and she offers, "Good thinking Azana we will have food for the road."

Titus "The Titan" Armstrong |

Titus heads back to the house to report what he has found.
"There is a road. It heads east to west. It was well-traveled it seemed. I'm not sure what direction we should head. I spotted five cows as well. I'm not sure we can travel with them but for those of you that need food it may be a good idea to kill one."

Azana |

"Only one, I'd say," Azana said simply. "We don't have time to salt or smoke the meat, and I'm not even sure if they have the gear here. We could store some in the freezer - it's a device that takes the temperature below zero, and stops it rotting - but we have no idea how long it will last, powerwise."
"If we need to we can start using this a base camp, too, so having more food for later would be good. Or send some survivors here, if we can fortify it sufficiently."

Thorn, Omen bringer |

He then states, "I am going to go around and check out the other buildings then."

Jelissa M'Barra |

"If we are going to make this a 'base camp', then I will start working on cleaning out the corpses and decay." She offers and heads back to the bedroom if no one says anything else.
