Kyrie keeps walking forward at a slow, steady pace. She can feel the arcane power within her jerk to be let free, like a dog trained for war straining at a thin leash.
It wanted to be let free.
And she wanted to free it.
Perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 4 = 19
As she nears the stone she tossed, she leans down and picks up another one. The stone in her fist grows bright as the near light goes out. She tosses the new one forward, and thus the path before the group is always illuminated a good deal ahead.
"Are you certain? Given what we have been told the odds of finding a wandering band of normal humans seems...well the word 'unlikely' is to be a grand understatement."

Sona Tanaka |

"I would have to agree with Kyrie--from what I've seen anyways. I can't even see them though...," she would whisper, slowing to a very slow speed to observe them from a distance. She wanted to at the very least spot them, but what she really wanted was to see how many there were and if there was a way around them rather than through them. "Azana, be a dear and point them out to me."

Azana |

Azana squinted. "I know they're human-shaped," she said after a moment, "And they're standing in groups. Can't make out enough detail to say whether they're all 'Argh, brains!' on us or if they're just clique-y."

GM Wolf |

From this angle she points out between two piles of bodies the figures standing, about 100 feet off, with no lights, just standing there in a group of at least five.

"What does she mean?" she would ask Constance in a low voice. As Jelissa readied for battle, Sona still couldn't see them enough to act quickly and she grew nervous. She could see the ones pointed out, but they were so far away and she didn't know why people were getting nervous to fight. As they came into view, it was too late for her to react, they were already upon them. In a forced whisper voice, she sneers and says, "Oh great!" Now she had to think of what to do. Perhaps enable the party with a song? Would that draw the attention of the others? She couldn't decide...

Titus "The Titan" Armstrong |

Titus too makes out the groups.

Titus roars at the moon as he shifts taking the front line to intercept any running forward at his companions.

Titus in lion hybrid form prepares to swipe at the first one that gets to him. Thorn readies his longsword for when the chargers get within range. Jelissa does the same with her scythe just a bit off from the other two.
Three of the slobbering filthy zombies come charging in one for each of your tanks. Thorn misses his strike, the zombies scratch at the three of you but fail to do any lasting damage. The other zombies soon follow after the first pack, now another five follow closely behind the leaders, then two other packs of four come off from the sides. Map updated.

Azana |

As soon as it became apparent that the zombies were, in fact, zombies Azana floated into a position to blast the pack. Or as much as she could get, anyway. Her clothes rippled in a breeze that didn't seem entirely natural and sparks crackled between her fingers. Her mind rummaged through the new knowledge, locating her new powers by instinct and thought.
Then she fired a blast of lighting.

As she evaluated the Zombies for weaknesses and strange abilities, a quiet song would issue forth from Sona's lips. She began to weave her improvised vocals and words into the very souls of her allies. While others summoned great powers to bring down their enemies, hers were subtle and would inspire strange improvement. She would make them faster, stronger, and more able to be focused on what they were doing.

Azana you may want to look at the map. You should wait for them to get close if you want to hit a bunch. Sona what is your inspire at? I'm assuming +1 but you are level 3 so maybe you took master performer.

Huh. Now that I see Titus in action, I don't know why I was worried about us going into melee. ^_^

Titus "The Titan" Armstrong |

Yes he is a tank and DPS build. Sona can channel as well. I have a bloodrage that riggers when I drop bellow half HP so I get stronger. With Fast heal I can take some channels as they damage all undead, get stronger and heal up all at the same time.

GM Wolf |

Round 1
Azana moves forward and to the right to get a clear shot and fries the two zombies in front of the group. Sona begins to inspire as Titus slashes the zombie into pieces.

Azana shuddered a little as the electricity was channeled through her. It was very different to tapping a Ley-Line, where she simply directed a tiny portion of a much greater power to enhance her own spells. This was from within. It felt really, really weird. She could feel the power building, but it would be a time before it could be used again.
Listening to the pretty song, Azana floated back to the others - but above the range of zombie hands - and aimed her pistol. Unless things looked dire she didn't want to use too many of her spells here. Others might need healing.

"Why don't we shed a little light on the subject?" Kyrie asks rhetorically as she summons a flaming sphere in the middle of a likely path of attack.
Flaming Sphere. I put a yellow X on the map where it is. Any creature moving the through the space takes 3d6+1 damage, Reflex save DC 17 to negate.

GM Wolf |

Round 2
Luckily with Kyrie's light spell Sona is able to see the wailing thing and shoots at it, though the wailing doesn't stop or change. It is also hard to see if it hit or not. Kyrie puts out more light and a burning barrier. Azana floats above the group and her pistol merely goes click.
Then the zombies come... five through the burning barrier, which three of them get by with minimal burns. Still not slowing them down and then the others. The wailing one gets into cover and continues to wail. You can see much more movement all around. None of them get within range to attack, but those who waited could move out if they wanted to.

Round 3
Sona for some reason could not see whether her bolt hit the target, even though she could see normally outside in the moonlight at the moment. This was likely because it was such a far shot, however, the wailing didn't falter, and it was a clear enough sign to her that she had missed. She continues her singing to boost her allies and loads up another shot into her crossbow. Seeing some zombies skirting around wide and closer to the left side, she moves closer to Titus on the right.

Sona Tanaka |

Sona sees the danger looming nearby on their northern side of the battle. The Horde was overwhelming them, and so her eerie song ended, yet lingered in the air. (Despite it ending, each person gets her song's morale bonus to attack/damage for 2 more rounds. Trait bonus.) She then moved to the side of Kyrie, gave her a playful wink and cast a spell that would be all too familiar to her. In her bag, she produces some fine sand and casts it into the air. A dulled sphere of light flashes from her outstretched hands towards the undead, hopefully lulling them to sleep.

Whichever one is closest - probably the white one? And it's -2 to both hit and damage because I rolled a 1 on a previous turn, so the gun has the Broken condition.

Kyrie coos with glee and awe as the Sleep spell lays waste to the undead hordes.

Those caught in the splash damage can attempt a Reflex save for half damage." Things like point blank, inspire, deadly aim all add to minimum damage. Her minimum damage right now is 7. Swiftly it rushed up upon her, and now threatened even Kyrie. The two were in it now. A vicious bite rent her flesh and Sona screamed in pain. Thorn began to step in and she retreated back a step. Already, her body had begun to heal the wound and fought off any disease it would leave behind.

Alright, things have finally calmed down enough for this character to start speaking to me, and I got (most) of his stats in line. I've actually been hankering to see him do his stuff so here we go!
Daniel had been following in a dream-like state. None if this seemed real. He was just doing a job. A job for the guy that was going to put this all right; put it back to the way it was.
But that's not it. It's not going back. Now the only was is forward.
He had hung back, still just wishing that this wasn't happening. Even if his employer had headed for the hills, if it took all his power to bring the loud magic lady here, then it meant that she could make it all go away, right? Wrong.
The zombies--for that's what they were--were upon them, and they were going to walk all over humanity's last chance if he didn't do something.
He couldn't do much. He never was good at anything. But some said that he was okay with a rifle, so, all that he could do, he vowed to do it.
He sighted in, got center mass on his target, and pulled the trigger.
