Tomida Honjiro |
perception: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (9) + 10 = 19
Looking up at Mich Igan’s insistence, Tomida spots the camera and begins to make a recording of the information they had discovered about the cameras. Wrinkling their nose at the smell they look to Adell.
”Ah’m sure I can give it a shot, just need to get close enough without being spotted is the issue.”[\b] they frown [b]”Hey Ebaki! You got any override power here?”
engineering to know about the camera: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (17) + 10 = 27
Game Master S |
"I can't help there. I don’t know what I can do. I don’t have a gun or anything. But I know computers, I can help with that. Oh, and some of the doors should respond to my handprint, so I guess that might make some things easier.” Ebaki holds up his hand, forcing a smile.
Tomida starts thinking about how to foil the motion sensors. Something tiny, like some drones could get close enough to deactivate it with some simply engineering know-how. Otherwise you're in trouble. Tomida is confident that bulky furniture will mask movement too.
Thinking about how hard this is going to be on PbP. This would be an easy "board game" in person. I've uncovered the cubicle floor with the motion sensors visible. Give me a marching order and a square by square path to the weapons room in the NE. If any square happens to require me interrupting you, we'll rewind to there. (Don't assume the worst though, it could be treasure ;-)
Mich Igan |
Mich proposes a solution to get to the weapons. Blue line on the map
Lets go there first, and see what we can do.
Tomida Honjiro |
”Nevermind - we’ll get out of here somehow, we Starfinders are famous for getting out of sticky situations!” Tomida replies to Ebaki cheerfully. ”Though it is time like these I wish Draconir had a camera installed so I could see from their eyes. On that note...”
She quietens for a moment as they step out of the room with Adell and focuses on her encrypted connection with her Drone, hoping to boot up Draconir, which would at least give them back up at the Security room.
”Make sure you keep your heads down below the cubicles if ya can, just incase of any other surprises we haven’t seen”
Game Master S |
Specific marching order? Go ahead and place yourselves on the Blue Line. Vegoia, is there some character art from the web we can use?
Mich Igan |
Mich proposes to be first in line.
Adell Philgro |
Adell is currenly standing to the left of Tomida, and to his left is a computer console.
Ebaki? My friend how about you login to this console and see what you can do to make this situation a little easier?
Game Master S |
Ebaki nods and heads over to the closest cubicle. He starts typing away as the party makes their way along the wall, trying to keep a low profile. Almost to the door, you see a now animated suit of armor patrolling the area. Upon seeing it, it sees you!
Hostiles: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7
Maxamas: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 4 = 16
Mich: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (17) + 1 = 18
Vegoia: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (11) + 0 = 11
Adell: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (6) + 0 = 6
Tomida: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 2 = 18
Game Master S |
The armor looks like it's coming to deal with you!
Round 1:
Tomida: Go
Mich: Go
Maxamas: Go
Vegoia: Go
Hostiles: TBD
Adell: TBD
Mich Igan |
Oh no! Why did it animate?! We will need to destroy it now...
Mich starts to glow like a star in the night and moves, strictly following the path they choose, toward the animated armor, weapon ready.
Photon Mode 1/3
Game Master S |
Maxamas covers his head while Mich and Vegoia power up.
Round 1:
Tomida: Go
Mich: Building...
Maxamas: Defense
Vegoia: Building...
Hostiles: TBD
Adell: TBD
Game Master S |
Tomida's drone prepares for the fight. Too small to trigger the sensors, it's a clean shot.
Silently and inexorably the armor advances on the party! Already within reach, it uses its integrated standard taclash to try and pull the skittermander down:
ATK: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (14) + 7 = 21 for DMG: 1d4 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6 From the shadows a second suit of armor approaches from the southwest.
Ebaki works furiously, and seems to be close when all of a sudden the shock grid goes off under Tomida and the Director! Elec: 3d6 ⇒ (6, 2, 3) = 11 REF DC 12 for half. Ebaki: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21
Round 1:
Tomida: Prep
Mich: Building...
Maxamas: Defense
Vegoia: Building...
Hostiles: ATK
Adell: Go
Ebaki: 5
Game Master S |
Ebaki curses and gets back to work.
Round 2:
Tomida: Go
Mich: Go
Maxamas: Go
Vegoia: Go
Hostiles: TBD
Adell: TBD
Ebaki: 5
Game Master S |
Vegoia's solar whip cracks clear in the dim room. Unfortunately it cracks a hair's breadth too soon!
Round 2:
Tomida: Go
Mich: Go
Maxamas: Go
Vegoia: Miss
Hostiles: TBD
Adell: TBD
Ebaki: 5
Tomida Honjiro |
Sorry I had posted and moved my Pawn, must have got lost - including the note saying i was away for a couple of days...
reflex: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25
Cursing as the computer fries, Tomida leaps behind the chair in the cubicle, blocking much of force from the explosion. ”Welp! We know what fried those poor workers now!” she exclaims.
Once again, she splits her attention between controlling Draconir and this time she tries to assist Ebaki in their work.
computers: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (18) + 11 = 29
Mich Igan |
Protect Ebaki! Heal him. says Mich while continuing to glow
They then turn they attention to the armor and trie to hit it. They own armor calculating the best course of action they strike.
Solar weapon vs KAC: 1d20 + 5 + 1 ⇒ (11) + 5 + 1 = 17
Damages, S: 1d6 + 5 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 5 + 1 + 1 = 12
Game Master S |
No worries :-)
Mich's lash is devastating to the armor. The party breaths a sigh of relief. It looks like it can only take a couple hits like that before being destroyed.
Tomida and the Director both strike out, finding nothing useful on the computer. The director shoves it into Tomida's hands, "Here, a down payment on the reward of getting me outa here." Tomida looks at the datapad and finds that it's quite the system. It's a tier 2 computer with the hardened, miniaturization 2 (Bulk L), and self-charging upgrades.
"I'm going to need to get to something better than a workstation, but without weapons, we're NOT getting outa here."
Round 2:
Tomida: Comp
Mich: Hit
Maxamas: Go
Vegoia: Miss
Hostiles: TBD
Adell: TBD
Ebaki: 5
Red: 12
Mich Igan |
forgot to add I'm on Photon mode 2/3
Game Master S |
Maxamas continues to cower as the armors advance. The one by Mich lashes again!
ATK: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10, but the little guy is far too fast!
Round 2:
Tomida: Comp
Mich: Hit
Maxamas: TD
Vegoia: Miss
Hostiles: ATK
Adell: Go
Round 2:
Tomida: Go
Mich: Go
Maxamas: Go
Vegoia: Go
Hostiles: TBD
Adell: TBD
Ebaki: 5
Red: 12
Adell Philgro |
Adell readies the butt of his flashlight (already in his hand, improvised weapon).
He takes a step and engages the armor....
"You two...help me keep this walking pile of metal busy for a few secs?"
Adell assaults the armor with his flashlight...not expecting it to do anything except get its attention.
Improvised Attack: 1d20 ⇒ 16
Tomida Honjiro |
Going to delay until Vegoia has gone
"That was a bust! Gonna rush the room, we need our weapons!" Tomida says over the Starfinder's comm units as she rushes out of the cubicle, hugging the wall.
With the armour out of the way, Tomida follows their knowledge about the camera's limitations and continues rushing forwards. I've put a black circle on the map as to where
Focusing, Tomida sends orders to Draconir to continue breaking down the door.
Draconir |
Assuming the door can be reasonably broken
Receiving orders from Tomida, Draconir readies their Storm hammer as it ignites then brings it crashing down on the door in an attempt to bash it down.
Storm Hammer vs EAC: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 5 = 15 for Electric Damage: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
If The armour hasn't been destroyed then second attack (-4 on the other attack
Storm Hammer vs EA: 1d20 + 5 - 4 ⇒ (10) + 5 - 4 = 11 for Electric Damage: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
Mich Igan |
Mich continues to attack the armor, still glowing furiously !
Solar Weapon vas KAC: 1d20 + 5 + 1 - 4 ⇒ (16) + 5 + 1 - 4 = 18
Damages, S: 1d6 + 5 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 5 + 1 + 1 = 8
Solar Weapon vas KAC: 1d20 + 5 + 1 - 4 ⇒ (1) + 5 + 1 - 4 = 3
Damages, S: 1d6 + 5 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 5 + 1 + 1 = 12
Helping!
Photon Mode 3/3
Game Master S |
Adell gets ready to flashlight whip the approaching Abadarmor.
Mich whips the armor again, though the blow isn't as definitive as the first, and the armor pushes on.
Tomida holds on for just a second, but finds the comms are jammed!
Round 1
Adell: Readied
Round 2:
Mich: Hit!
Maxamas: Defense
Vegoia: Go
Tomida: Readied
Hostiles: TBD
Adell: TBD
Ebaki: 5
Red: 20
Vegoia |
I will go ahead and crack my whip into the side of the helmet of the armor
attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5 for dmg: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5
But it looks like I'm a bit out of practice with the whip
Game Master S |
Indeed, Vegoia is wildly off target.
Draconir doesn't seem to make a lot of progress on the door. There IS a hand print identifier next to it that could likely be hacked, but the security door is really hard.
The armor approaches Adell who smashes the flashlight on its head! DMG: 1d6 ⇒ 5
The two armor suits resort to metal fists:
ATK v. Vegoia: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7
ATK v. Adell: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10
But both miss horribly!
Round 2:
Mich: Hit!
Maxamas: Defense
Vegoia: Miss
Tomida: Readied
Hostiles: ATK
Adell: Go
Ebaki: 5
Red: 20
Blue: 5
Adell Philgro |
Full-Round Action: Adell withdrawals into the room behind him.
He hopes that pile of polished junk will chase him around the room for a little while since it seems to get around slowly.
Game Master S |
Indeed, the armor looks to follow a simple plan and turns towards Adell.
Round 2:
Mich: Go
Maxamas: Go
Vegoia: Go
Tomida: Go
Hostiles: TBD
Adell: TBD
Ebaki: 5
Red: 20
Blue: 5
Mich Igan |
Solar Weapon vs KAC: 1d20 + 5 + 1 - 4 ⇒ (6) + 5 + 1 - 4 = 8
Solar Weapon vs KAC: 1d20 + 5 + 1 - 4 ⇒ (8) + 5 + 1 - 4 = 10
This time Mich is unable to hit the Armor to they great frustration!
Photon Mode 4/3
Game Master S |
Mich gets a bit too excited to make the kill strike, and whips off target twice!
Round 2:
Mich: Miss
Maxamas: Go
Vegoia: Go
Tomida: Go
Hostiles: TBD
Adell: TBD
Ebaki: 5
Red: 20
Blue: 5
Game Master S |
Hopefully everyone is rested after the big game! :-)
Mich Igan |
1 person marked this as a favorite. |
Yes, the French beat England in Rugby! Quite happy about that ;)
Vegoia |
I'm going to reposition to the side of the armor and activate my supernova,
Reflex save DC 14 for half damage
damage: 2d6 + 1 ⇒ (2, 1) + 1 = 4
Game Master S |
REF: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 4 = 17 The dice were not kind to you Vegoia. Vegoia's supernova fizzles a bit. Still the damage to the armor is adding up, and even a good hit with a stapler might take it out...
Round 2:
Mich: Miss
Maxamas: Duck and cover
Vegoia: Boom
Tomida: Go
Hostiles: TBD
Adell: TBD
Ebaki: 5
Red: 22
Blue: 5
Adell Philgro |
Someone want to bot Tomida?
I dont think she can do anything. We need Ebaki to open the door but that wont happen until the armor is dead. We know the robot cant open the door.
Game Master S |
Don't forget that even without weapons, there are some options. Covering Fire and Harrying Fire don't actually require guns. Given that some agents are attacking and getting hit, helping them is 100% an option.
