Sgrack, uncertain what he should do or say, points his finger to himself and simply says: "Sgrack."

Upon noting more words from him were expected, he starts to talk. "Orc from trash pit in Kuratown. Escape. Hunt by death robot. Escape. Hunt by barbarian. Escape. Hunt by bandit. Escape. Now Torch. Help Khonnir, help Val, help Sron, help Izzle."

"Now, crush robot?"


So other than small talk what is the party's next course of action?

Keth looked at the diminutive Alchemist, the self proclaimed explosive expert, and nodded saying Quite. Then he glanced at Woolf and said in the language of his faith sUil! and the wolf looked at the elf and with resignation and regret apparent on his face he moved over to Keths right side and followed a step behind.

He moved off toward Foundry.

Woolf almost sighed if a canine could sigh when he heard the command he knew meant walk beside me. He moved away with a doggy lick to the elf and followed The Master down the street looking around as he walked.

Meila takes a moment to really look upon this orc monstrosity called Sgrack. While he didn't look pleasing to the eyes in the slightest, he seemed tame enough. She cocks her head to the side and listens to what he has to say. Very little of it makes sense to her, but she understands one part. She raises her fist and yells "Crush Robot! Ya!"


ARe Sron and Meila in agreement with the rest to head to the foundry tavern to visit Val and investigate the construct?

Feeling a bit tired and sick tonight will start the next part in the morning


After a short walk the group arrives at a set of three buildings that most of you are familiar with. The closest to the path is the the 'Foundry Tavern' a popular bar run by town councilman Kohnnir. To the east is a slightly larger building which is Kohnnir's workshop and metal foundry which is where the tavern gets its name. To the north behind the other buildings is a small stone building that serves as a home for Kohnnir and his adopted children Val and Sron.

After taking a few steps up the path you hear what sounds like a scream of terror coming from the north.

Starting initiative order. Meila 23> Keth & Woolf 21> Sron 20> Sgrack 17> Irizzle 14

map is being changed to represent the foundry all of you should have control of you given tokens. please only move up to you speed on your turn. First to reply gets a +1 to the rolled init.

As he hears the scream, Sgrack points and states the obvious. "Scream." Then, with some uncertainty if they should move to help, or flee, he asks the others. "Help?"

Keth and Woolf you're up. Meila(and everyone) I would probably recommend double moves for the first round as there is a bit of distance to the source of the scream.

Sorry, I misinterpreted what you meant by "only move up to your speed".

Am about to head to work and likely to be out in the field today, so might not get to post. It appears my first move is going to be a move move with my slow speed anyways, likely toward the back of the group.


I will just move you 40ft. now then and hopefully by round two you will be home assuming everyone posts enough for us to get to round 2. This is my first play by post in many many years. When I played back in the day on private forums the GM always kind of hurried combat. I don't want to do that unless it becomes necessary as I want the players to have agency in combat and combat is a big part of pathfinder.

@Meila Yah I meant only move up to the speed you can move with the proper actions. You can still move the extra 30 if you want.


Ignore the fire I was just messing with tokens bored at work.

Once it is confirmed they will help, Sgrack runs forward just after Meila, meanwhile trying to determine if he recognizes the person screaming.

Sron nodded and said "Yes we must," The commotion might be a first tsep in finding out what was going on...


While it is hard to tell someone by their scream unless you have heard it often 0_o you would guess it sounds like a young female. Your mind obviously jumps to Val


I went ahead and double moved both Keth and Woolf assuming that is what they would do anyways. @Sron go ahead and make your move and then I will update with fluff and start round 2

Sron didn't want to believe that the scaream was Val's. Another loss would be too more destaibilizing to his already fragile existence. Just incase, however, Sron moved to the door wirh alaxritt ready to act.

It wasn't Val.

It was not.

Keth withoiut saying a word to anyone else, turned and trotted down the alley, motioning Woolf to the bottleneck to the right he moved into the courtyard.

Wool had stood in the alleyway looking around and perking his ears up at the scream he gave a low growl then glanced back to Master who was coming up the alley, pokey stick in hands.

As The master past him he pointed to the opinging to the right and Keth trotted over their and looked around sniffing the air expectantly.

Perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (6) + 8 = 14


Ok catching up here. Looks like Keth got a bit ahead and took his second round. No problem tho. Everyone else take their second round.

Woolf:
Wolf hears what sound not unlike hammer on stone on top of what should be speech but it is in both a language and tone that makes him uneasy. Woolf turns his head toward Keth with a look of concern

"Val?" Sgrack muses aloud as he runs along the alley.

Run is x4 so you have 4 more squares. I moved you 2 more to put you in front of the door unless you don't want to block it. at which case I can move you one over.

Meila continues to move through the hallway, though she doesn't quite kick into a run. She pauses and looks through each of the windows to get some idea of what might be going on.

Double move, stopped a bit short to stay behind Keth.


As Sgrack approaches the building he begins to hear a banking of metal on stone and a whirring that brings back memories of the creature that drove him from his home all those years ago.


I went ahead and double moved Irizzle since I know his schedule is weird. So just need to have Sron decide what he wants to do. A double move will put him close to Meila or a run could get him up to Sgrack

Ok Meila is up at the top of the 3rd round

The sound of metal on stone stops for a second then a labored whirring is heard before stopping a few seconds later and the bagning restarts

Meila hustles to the door and tries to open it.


Meila grabs the door handle and the door easily swings open. The noise of banging is now louder and coming from the east inside.

Keth and Woolf are up

Keth says Tar! to Woolf and then moved past Meila seeing a hall with 3 doors off it, he steps back to allow others to move past him.

Woolf came up and moved behind him.

Keth Knelt and stroked Woolfs head and muzzle with one hand while touching the dripping leaf symbol around his neck. He whispered a prayer allowing Woolfs mouth to drop acid.

Cast Acid Maw. Woolfs attack deals an additional 1d4 points of acid damage, and the acid deals another 1d4 points of acid damage to the target on the next round The spell lasts 10R

Woolf heard the master tell him to come and he followed him into the building. Then the master touched him and Woolf felt the familiar burning in his mouth that he had before that meant his bite would burn those he bit. He growled knowing what was coming....


Sorry about the brief absence. Looks like we need Sron, Sgrack and Irizzle to make their 3rd moves.

Irizzle moves up and drinks his extract of Shield.

[ooc] I'm travelling down to Melbourne tomorrow to go watch the Australian Open tennis, so I'm not sure how much posting I'll be able to do (I imagine there will be time between matches etc where I should be able to). If needed in the meantime, Irizzle will look to try and get off a shot on multiple bad guys, otherwise will probably hang back behind beefier folk.

Since Sron still has an action to spare, could he open one of the doors? This way Sgrack can already enter the room and perhaps swing at something...

Okay I open the door closest to me


Sron opens the door to reveal an empty bedroom. THe Noise of banging seems to be coming from the storeroom due East.


Gonna move and assume Sgracks turn for him to move in as far as he can and ready an action to attack the first thing he does not recognize with his earthbreaker, assuming he didn't have it out already he will draw his earthbreaker as part of his move for having a bab of +1 for free.

The noise behind the Eastern door to the store room comes to a head, when the door suddenly explodes into shrapnel and revealing a whirring, sparking and stuttering construct. It lets out a noise that to most sounds like gibberish.

Everyone in the halway make a reflex to avoid the shrapnel everyone behind Sgrack can add +1 to the roll since he is providing cover from most of it.

Sgrack you are welcome to take that readied attack on it if you want or wait your choice.

Meila once Sgrack uses his ready you are up again at the top of the order.

Also a new journal entry has been added to all of you on roll20 under the folder scenes. If you double click it it will show you an image from the module of the creature you are fighting now vs the iconic alchemist substitute with Sgrack in your mind to set the scene :)


Having some trouble with the dynamic lighting on one of the doors blocking your vision so I am gonna enable global illumination on the map just obey the walls as you see them on the map.

Sron covered his face to avoid the shrapnel as best he could. When he looked up he saw a towering construct of metal and synthetic materials.
He prepared himself to fight.
