We don't know Cor'ellis can channel yet...

The noble Lady's cinnamon eyes flashed as they met Renlo's, gathering the reflected candlelight until they seemed to glow. She scoffed, loudly. “Yes, for one need be Aes Sedai to comfort frightened children.” And she marched right on her way, unwilling to be delayed another moment.

Still the caution in the Shienaran's tone seemed to have reached her on some level as she takes a calming breath for a moment and seemed to be listening for something as she moved more slowly down the hallway. Val sticking close to her side.

Moving past Bataar, grunting, "Leave that sword in its scabbard this time, yeah."

Nearing Marik he asks, "Hey Marik you have another one of those? I havn't been in a fist fight since a miner pinched my sister." His smile widens, 'I don't have to tell him it was last month.'

"I don't but to be honest, you are probably the better fighter, I've just been in a bar fight or two nothing major. Take it."

He began handing over the sap, he instead armed himself with his thin bladed but heavy hilted sword and a dagger, he could just bosh a fellow over the head with the hilt if he had too.

'Willing to give what he has away, I did not expect that.' Seeing Marik in a new light, Elek winks, "I was just kidding, you hold on to it." He then raises his hands and then closes them into fists, "Besides, I have these, I think I'll be ok."

Seeing the look Cor'ellis gives Renlo, "I would not want to try and stop her once she sets her mind to something.' Moving toward Renlo he slaps the Shienaran on the shoulder, "Come on Renlo, we don't want Marik to look like the brave one." He then follows Cor'ellis out the door, unconsciously slipping into Cat Crosses the Courtyard as he moves.

He follows the Kandori out into the corridor, ready to fight as needed.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Korin reacts belatedly to the commotion outside, or perhaps more truthfully, did not react to it. The recent revelations within their own room seemed far more pressing and of more importance than a sudden brawl amongst the locals. Particularly since the Bataar fellow was probably behind that too. He could not afford to be distracted here.

Korin's gaze slid from the self-confessed male channeler over to the Aes Sedai and back again. His eyes narrowed. Aes Sedai were famous for being unreadable when they wanted to be, but this one had barely reacted at all to the man's confession. Did she know all along? Light preserve us! Are they working together? She did let him flee back in Fal Dara after all. To what end though? Or perhaps, is she waiting so as to not provoke him? Just what did I stumble into?!?

He risks a quick glance as some of the others slip out of the room, apparently following Cor'ellis' lead, but his mind was still on the other puzzle. Shared dreaming? What sort of shadow-wrought nonsense is he babbling about? He is probably the cause of it all.

Korin stands his ground, hand on the hilt of his sword and inwardly determined not to let the channelers out of sight - though if one or both were the cause of this, what he could actually do about it was beyond him at the moment, especially alone.

for a knowledge check...yeah, you could make a Knowledge arcana check. Make a roll, and ill post what you figure out, customized to each roller.

Cor'ellis, ive noted your use of inverting and casting the weave, but i need to look up how female channelers hid their casting without alerting other channelers to their presence. I know female channelers, when they embrace the source, will glow, but i dont remember the supression. i know it's discussed in the later books, so i need to find them or references to it, to better gauge rules and what not for this...Tenora, please dont react to Cor'ellis' posting until i figure this out. thanks.

stepping out from the Bulwark's front doors, you look onto a scene of limited Chaos. Here and there, men and women are fighting. Some men are fighting each other, some women, even the rare man fighting a woman. But it's limited. Limited to just a handful of people spread throughout the town area. Screams filter down the narrow paths that are considered "roads" in this thorp, yet the finality of some instances are clear as day.

In front of you are two groups of people. Two men fight to your left, and a man and woman fight off to the right.

Bataar:

Right, I know hiding one's ability to channel and hiding the glow should be beyond her. I was hoping to be out of Tenora's line of sight when weaving. She should still sense that someone channeled and Bataar too, I suppose. But I wasn't sure if Tenora had sensed Cor'ellis can channel yet or not, so roleplaying that uncertainty.

Not seeing any children that needed help, she kept her distance for the moment placing the wall at her back and Val taking up a protective stance between her and the combatants.

"Fortune stab us all! What do be wrong with these folk?!" She asked of the nearest group of unaffected people.

yeah, nice rolls guys. real scary. oOOOOOOo

While Elek and bataar attempt to browbeat (in a very non-threatening manner) the man wailing on the woman, Renlo rushes up on the guy and body checks the man. His heavy body, clad in armor, slams into the unarmored and unarmed man, sending the villager reeling. He flies off of the woman and lands hard upon his back, his gaze looking up at the sky.

The woman, gasping for breath, pushes herself onto her side and begins to fast crawl on her hands and knees, attempting to pursue her victim. A heavy snarl rips from her throat, rage hard etched upon her face.

A slight gurgle and moan lifts through the air, drawing attention to the two men that were fighting off to the left, ignored by others to attend to the woman and man fighting. One man kneels above the other, his hands wrapped firmly upon the other who lays upon his back. Red faced, flushed with anger, the man on top flexes his arms as hard as he can. His hand collapses further upon the man's throat, obvious that he just crushed his opponents throat. Ahhh...I-I dont know...One moment i was packages to my house, and then i saw Hanneh over there talking to Fen. And i got jealous. I dont know why. I mean, i like Hanneh, but never...well, not never, just...well, i felt like i should give her a gift. But when she said no thanks, i knew she was being polite, but another part of me just snapped. it was the weirdest thing. I just lost control and attacked her for not accepting my gift. I...i hadnt felt that out of control of my emotions since i was a teenager..a young one at that.

GM:

Renlo unties the innkeeper, then says, "You've had a rather rough go of it, it appears. Why don't you fix your clothes, then I'll help you back to your kitchen so you can sit down and have a drink of water."

Once the innkeeper fixes his pants, Renlo helps him up and walks towards the kitchen with him, asking as he did so, "We found several people outside just started fighting for no apparent reason. You wouldn't happen to have an idea of what that's about?"
