Posh, saves are important at high levels - I would trade in the amulet of natural ac and ring of protection to lose 3 points of AC for a cloak of resistance +3. Just a suggestion. :)

And with your wand of lesser restoration, we will be best friends! LOL..

Kane, how did you get those starting stats? Even with 25 point buy, 3 level ups, and your magic items, your math doesn't add up. Please break it down for me. Thanks.

EDIT: It works if your item is +2 Str/Dex and either your Int or Wis is 12 instead of 14 with all the other stats the same.

sure: my base stats are:

str 14
dex 14
con 12
int 13
wis 13
cha 15

I added +2 from race to Cha, to make it 17

My stat bumps from level are going to my three mental stats, to make them 14/14/18 respectively

I have a +2 belt of physical might for dex and con, bringing me up to 16 and 14 respectively. I have a +6 headband of cha, to bring that up to 24.

Greater Hat of Disguise gives you permanent Alter Self. Alter Self gives you a +2 size bonus to strength if you choose a medium sized form. I just factored that into his stats as well.

that gives me the stats in my submission (with magic item bonuses)

EDIT: I edited this cause I thought my stats were wrong, but I was right initially.

EDIT: Kaine: You cannot take Weapon Focus in shield, Heavy as you do not have proficiency in shield as a martial weapon. You can do the shield bash and improved shield bash, but not weapon focus.

Posh, I'd recommend Daylight, Cure Disease(!!!), Remove Curse, Remove Blindness, Dispel Magic

Basically condition removal.

I would avoid remove curse, remove disease or dispel as scrolls as they all have caster level checks associated with them.

Good picks for me include: Bless, Comprehend Languages, Protection from Evil, Calm Emotions (auto removes confusion), Water Breathing, Fly, Air Walk, Restoration, Death Ward, Freedom of Movementand Heal.

Doh! missed the fact that I wasn't proficient in shield (I always forget to check that when making a shield bash character). I'll just swap out weapon focus for proficiency.

@Posh: I'd honestly recommend getting a scroll of Breath of Life and a spring-loaded wrist sheath, then buying diamond dust with the rest of the money for the party res fund.

In fact, I'd recommend everyone have 1k or so set aside for a raise dead fund.

OK, all of my purchases should be complete now. A couple of things to note:

1. Orlanna casts extended dakvision and mage armour on herself at the end of each day, leaving a spell slot of each level open to prepare them. She uses her rod to extend them.

2. Orlanna casts overland flight on herself before setting out anywhere, it lasts 12 hours so should last an entire adventuring day.

3. Orlanna maintains a contingency spell up, recasting it every 12 days. It is set to cast dimension door on her when she clicks her fingers.

4. When travelling Orlanna keeps a level 4 spell slot open to cast secure shelter at the end of the day if she hasnt used it for something else.

5. I have 1000gp of diamond dust just in case. Given the undead heavy nature of the game I suggest we make sure we have both death ward and restoration covered.

Even as scrolls, those things are too expensive. I have many of them already memorized, and the others, if needed, can be memorized "tomorrow" after the person is afflicted.

I am picking up a Pearl of Power 1, and I'll take a bunch of diamond dust, because, you know you always need that stuff.


Okay, seems everyone is mostly ready. Two things:

1. As this is high level play, please include in your Race/Class tab your basic attack with normal modifiers (Str, magic weapon, feats, etc.). Then when you post your attacks, just point out modifiers to hit and damage (rage, flanking, power attack, SA, inspire courage, other buffs, etc.). This will help immensely so I do not have to check your modifiers and numbers.

2. The game will start in the City of Greyhawk during the Champion's Games, an annual gladiatorial challenge, scheduled over a few days' time. You are one of 40,000 spectators in the Greyhawk Arena to witness the finals. Why is your character there? What drew him/her to the event?

Poshment has regularly attended the games for years. At least when he wasn't off campaigning somewhere. One of the gnomes who works the admissions booth is an old acquaintance, and he makes sure that Poshment gets good seats at a reasonable rate.

GM: Are there any Maguffins that the AP gave out early on that we would normally have? Keys to the great Golden Horde? Hints of paralyzation? Golembane Scarab? Swarmbane Clasps? In general, any of the items that give a party lots of warning about what might be coming, or the key to surviving it?


Nothing like that, Posh...but you will get info as we go along to better defend yourselves.

I am indeed. It's kinda where I got the inspiration from, plus a "how to build boba fett in dnd" video from a youtuber I like named Tulok the barbarian. I was this close to making him a ranger, but bard ended up just being a better fit for what I was looking for.
