Azadi Freeman |

round 2
Azadi shifts to his right and gathers in a swirl of fog to create a cutlass out of icy water, then slashes at the sailor who attacked him.

acrobatics: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (4) + 8 = 12
re-edit: yikes, that was closer than I would have liked

Tessa Steele |

Tessa watches Azadi attack something in front of her and when hes' done she touches his back and says "Slide to the right, I'll see if I can slip behind them."
Dropping back into the mist, she quickly slides back down the steps and heads starboard where she climbs the steps and sees a frost man on her left and another on her right. Targeting the one closest to Azadi, she thrusts her rapier towards his back and announces "Yah!"
Attack, Rapier, IC, Flank: 1d20 + 7 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 7 + 1 + 2 = 17

Donomsail Lishoni |

Donomsail steps down the stairs to stand next to Polli as she begins to chant in Infernal."Gozreh Ek vra dat u toelaat dat hierdie kind se staking teen ons vyande deur u briesie gelei word." With that she will place a hand on Azadi's shoulder with a light touch as she becomes the conduit that the spell is passed through.
Casts Guidance on Azadi.

Polli Andalaysa Bog IV |

Polli takes a step toward the battle, tries to fire a jolt spell at the nearest sailor, and gives some more advice to Marisan.
ranged attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6
dmg: 1d3 ⇒ 3
miss chance: 1d100 ⇒ 8
"S%&@! Stay still will you!" Polli snaps loudly at the man she is trying to electrocute, though in truth he barely moved an inch from when she aimed and acted. "The one has a hitch in his right shoulder when he flinched" pointing out skeletal abnormalities to aid in killing him, to the large steel fisted woman.
+2 to Marisan's next attack

GM Itzi |

Marisan steps past one of the sailors that's prone on the deck, snoring heavily. With well placed blows, she drops two others.
A rapier in the back from Tessa drops Azadi's foe to the boards, blood spreading across the deck.
Donomsail places a quick blessing on the undine who, with his opponent bleeding on the deck, steps up and slashes with his icy weapon at one of the two remaining sailors but misses.
With most of the immediate threats dealt with, Harmony makes her way across to the enemy ship. Cries of pain and the ring of steel echo through the mist.
Round 3
Ongoing Effects:
Thick Mist: Vision is partially obscured. Enemies within 5' have Partial Concealment (20% miss chance.) Enemies further away than 5' have Total Concealment (50% miss chance).
Inspire Courage: All party members have a +1 on saves vs fear and charm effects and a +1 competence bonus on attack and damage rolls. - Assuming that Harmony is continuing to maintain this.
Polli's minor electrical attack misses as she again calls out some advice to Marisan.
Combat Advice: Marisan gets a +2 competence bonus on her next attack roll
The two sailors that still stand throw down their swords and raise their hands in surrender.
Yes, we're still in combat. :) Everyone is up!

Marisan Nkosi |

Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23
Marisan spots the captain through a gap in the mist, and sees the sailor about to strike him. "Look out!" she cries out on instinct. Her blood still pumping, she rushes towards the would-be assailant to try to take him down!
Nonlethal Damage: 1d6 + 8 ⇒ (6) + 8 = 14

Azadi Freeman |

perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (9) + 8 = 17
”Warn the cap’n there’s someone behind him!” Azadi shouts to the officers with Harrigan. While he does, he blasts the deck beneath the sneaking sailor, coating it with a slick layer of rime.
using slick wild talent- functions as grease but with 1 round duration; DC 15 Ref or prone (and the normal problems with movement on his turn)

Tessa Steele |

Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 5 = 17
Tessa looks around at the parting mist and sees the Captain about to be attacked. She turns and leaps off the foredeck and tries to stabbity the Rahadoumi about to attack Harigan from behind.
Attack man behind Captain, IC: 1d20 + 7 + 1 ⇒ (20) + 7 + 1 = 28

Crit Damage: 1d6 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 4 + 1 = 6

Polli Andalaysa Bog IV |

Polli mutters obscenities when a goodly portion of their team runs off into the mist. Leaving the rest of them with two surrendered sailor. "Move one inch and I will not hesitate to electricute you until your eyes burst"
intimidation: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (3) + 8 = 11
But her glasses choose that moment to slide off spoiling her menace.

GM Itzi |

There's no one currently left to fight, so I'm botting Donomsail to move along.
Marisan cries out and leaps down to the lower deck. However, her cry alerts the stealthy sailor as well, and he sidesteps her leaping kick - right into Tessa's lunging blade. The look of surprise turns into pain and then to nothing as the man slides off her weapon, lifeless to the deck.
Harrigan gives you both a nod of recognition before continuing through the battered doorway into the cabin.
Remembering that part of your instructions were to prevent the smallboats from being used to escape, Donomsail stays right where she's at to watch over the portside boat.
Azadi aborts his spellcasting to begin gathering up the shortswords scattered on the deck while Harmony continues cheering on her shipmates.
Round 4
Ongoing Effects:
Thick Mist: Vision is partially obscured. Enemies within 5' have Partial Concealment (20% miss chance.) Enemies further away than 5' have Total Concealment (50% miss chance).
Inspire Courage: All party members have a +1 on saves vs fear and charm effects and a +1 competence bonus on attack and damage rolls.
Polli's attempt to intimidate the sailors lacks a certain ... intimidating ... element, but the sailors are barely still on their feet and offer no resistance.
No current foes are visible, for now ...
Everyone is up! Remember your orders!

Tessa Steele |

Once the threat is down, Tessa takes control of the situation and shouts "Marisan, take care of the ones getting away!" as she moves back aft and starts issuing orders. "Donomsail, guard that boat. Polli, make sure those sailors don't try to get brave. Vi, go watch the other boat starboard. "
She climbs up on the railing and looks around for signs of trouble. "Stick together watch each others back and we'll be fine. Azadi, once you've finished there grab the wheel."
Tessa looks up and wonders if there is trouble above. "Belay that. Azadi, maybe you should check above us to ensure it's clear. Harmony." she grimaces and squeezes her eyes shut and shouts. "F%$%! Vi, take the wheel in the meanwhile and I'll take the starboard boat. Well done all! We're not out of this yet though. Keep talking to each other, the fog isn't helping us see what troubles lay ahead."

Harmony Mai d'Valois |

Harmony, seeing Domonsail heading for the port side boats, does the same on the starboard side, letting her cheers die down as the fight does the same. Then, as Tessa starts yelling, she nods and reverses course to take the wheel. She doesn't visibly react to Tessa's slip apart from sparing her friend a glare as she grasps the worn wood and tries to keep the ships close together.

Azadi Freeman |

Azadi pauses from gathering weapons and looks to Polli. ”You’re in charge, you want me to head up?” he asks.
I think we’re currently out of combat(?) so I’ll take 10 to fast climb up 15’. If you need a roll let me know (or just roll it for me, I’m at +6).

Polli Andalaysa Bog IV |

"What? Oh... I expressed my disinterest in anyone being in charge already did I not? If the berry wishes to draw a target on her chest for archers, let her." considering the order though "Getting an elevated view would in most cases be a good idea, but the mist would limit our ability to see and help you. Meaning you would be on your own. My suggestion to you would be to ignore her and attack them from here if there are people up there." she has found her glasses and finally gets them back on.

Marisan Nkosi |

Marisan moves to Tessa's side, ready to strike any foes that might approach.

Donomsail Lishoni |

Donomsail, standing guard by the lifeboat, taps her club on the ground to let her teammates know where she is and the others to know she is armed. Listening to the cries of "Look out!" to the Captain she is tempted to move to help him but instead stays where she is feeling that it is probably better to follow orders and the Captain is most likely better able to take care of himself than she is to help him.

GM Itzi |

Blue - Profession (sailor): 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 4 = 17
Green - Profession (sailor): 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5
Violet - Profession (sailor): 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20
Marisan moves near Tessa at the starboard smallboat, who begins shouting orders, taking her role of usurped leadership quite seriously. Donomsail remains by the port side boat.
Azadi very quickly has a pile of six shortswords gathered near the wheel where Harmony stands ready to defend the controls.
Round 5
Ongoing Effects:
Thick Mist: Vision is partially obscured. Enemies within 5' have Partial Concealment (20% miss chance.) Enemies further away than 5' have Total Concealment (50% miss chance).
As Polli stands near the wheel cleaning her glasses, the sound of something exploding below-decks rocks the ship. As you all steady yourselves from the momentary shock, three sailors come charging out of the mist towards the starboard-side smallboat and grab at the ropes to lower it to the water.
Everyone is up!
I've removed unconscious/sleeping sailors from the map as well as the two prisoners.

Polli Andalaysa Bog IV |

"See they go straight for the loud one." Polli points out to no one in particular, then shouts "Tessa, two fingers gone right hand, left hip stiff!!"

Tessa Steele |

"Aye!" Tessa responds loudly to Polli's shout. As the three new sailors appear, Tessa spins and slides next to the first one to arrive so that she can leave that one for Marisan. When her spin completes, she thrusts her rapier into the chest of the man with the pink-stained leathers. She taunts "I love that color, love, but I think blood red is a much better shade of red on you!"
Attack Pink, Combat advice: 1d20 + 7 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 7 + 2 = 25

Azadi Freeman |

Hearing the fighting at the starboard boat, where Tessa and Marisan headed, Azadi moves to protect the aft boat, where Polli had stood alone. He advances to the forward rope of the lifeboat, and then blasts a layer of ice on the deck in front of him in case anyone is headed his way.
I marked the area of my slick/grease effect with a blue box on the map; DC 15 Ref.

Botting Donomsail.

Tessa stabs at one of the others with her blade and he clutches at his belly where blood is spilling out staining his pink leathers red.
Donomsail continues to guard the port-side smallboat with assistance from Azadi who coats the deck with ice.
Harmony's fingersnap doesn't do a lot of damage, but leaves one of the sailor's dazed. Lime
Round 6
Ongoing Effects:
Thick Mist: Vision is partially obscured. Enemies within 5' have Partial Concealment (20% miss chance.) Enemies further away than 5' have Total Concealment (50% miss chance).
Polli shouts out more tips to Marisan and then sends an arc of electricity towards the one that Harmony dazed.
With blood pouring between his fingers, the sailor that Tessa stabbed drops his shortsword and turns to flee back into the mist. The remaining conscious sailor stands there shaking his head in an attempt to clear the ringing.
Everyone is up!

Tessa Steele |

With her enemy down, she moves opposite of the Mwangi woman and taunts "Over here big boy" as she tries to draw its attention away from the brawler. As he turns to look she thrusts her rapier towards his chest.
Attack, Flanking: 1d20 + 7 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 7 + 2 = 15

Azadi Freeman |

”Let us know if you need reinforcements over there,” Azadi calls out as the sounds of combat from the other lifeboat diminish but do not end. While he speaks, he replaces the quickly melting ice on the deck with a fresh layer.
slick only lasts 1 round, so I use it on the same place again; still DC 15 Ref

Donomsail Lishoni |

Donomsail listens anxiously to the sounds of combat while keeping an eye out for anyone trying to get to the boat she is guarding.
"Gozreh help my om waar te maak met hierdie ontploffings"
She says as she stands poised to lash out with an icicle blast.

Marisan Nkosi |

Marisan kicks the sailor she is flanking, dances around his side, and lashes out again.

Nonlethal Damage: 1d6 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11

Polli Andalaysa Bog IV |

Assuming the poor sack of a sailor has no hope wedged between the fists and blade of the two women, Polli keeps an eye out for extra sacks coming their way.
"Hmm... I wonder if we need to be looking for danger from our ship as well. Now would be a perfect time to thin our numbers a bit." Polli wonders aloud.

Polli Andalaysa Bog IV |

"They are open, of course, who would close their eyes in the middle of a pirate raid." Polli answers, choosing out of her irritation of being here in the first place, to take the woman's words literally.
Polli's was also a pass

Donomsail readies a blast of piercing ice for the first foe that shows their face while Azadi refreshes the icy patch on the deck.
Harmony keeps watch from her position at the wheel.
Round 7
Ongoing Effects:
Thick Mist: Vision is partially obscured. Enemies within 5' have Partial Concealment (20% miss chance.) Enemies further away than 5' have Total Concealment (50% miss chance).
Polli continues to watch as well. Her watch is rewarded as three sailors and a woman dressed as an officer approach the portside smallboat. They all manage to keep their feet on the slick wood and ignoring your group begin to unlimber the smallboat.
Everyone is up!

Marisan Nkosi |

Marisan dances across the deck, brandishing her cutlass. She performs a spinning leap, slicing at the enemy officer!

AoO?: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (18) + 1 = 19

"Lemme know if'n ya be needin' ma help!" Shouts Domonsail who is continuing to stand guard at the small craft, fearful of allowing any to escape.

Polli Andalaysa Bog IV |

"Azadi, if you wouldn't mind, stepping back a moment."
"I made ONE suggestion. ONE! Protect our healer." the willowy wizard snaps in irritation. "Ardenti Manus!" she shouts as she steps forward, flames erupting from her hands washing over the fools who endangered Domonsail.

Azadi's quick punch doesn't seem to deter the sailors from their desperate attempt to loose the boat.
Marisan's slash with her weapon catches the woman off-guard and splatters blood across the icy boards. Tessa fails to replicate her hammock-mate's efforts, though, and misses.
Donomsail gives moral support from the other end of the smallboat.
The undine follows up with his icy blade and draws blood which bounces down the slick weapon.
Harmony calls out support from the aft deck.

Inspire Courage: All party members have a +1 on saves vs fear and charm effects and a +1 competence bonus on attack and damage rolls.
An annoyed Polli steps forward and bathes all of the enemies in flames.
The sailor near the railing and the officer manage to avoid some of the effects. Of the remaining two, the one still alive flees back toward the stern of the boat. The other just collapses to the deck amidst the smell of burning flesh.
The officer thrusts the boarding pike she's holding at Marisan, but misses. The other sailor continues in his efforts to release the smallboat.
Everyone is up!
Also note ... please include your DCs when casting spells that allow saving throws, thanks. :)

Azadi Freeman |

No longer able to see anything of the desperate sailor but his hands trying to work the lifeboat lines, Azadi blasts the ropes covering them in an icy sheath.
I’m trying to use slick/grease on the ropes the same way you would on a weapon in the hopes that they’ll be too slippery to lower the boat? DC 15 Ref if it works.
