This octagonal room is covered in a fine layer of dust. It’s clearly been abandoned for a long time.

Relgar looks around but finds nothing of interest.
Survival DC 15: 1d20 ⇒ 7

GM Ietsuna |

There is nothing of interest in this room that you can see. The shelves are dusty, but mostly bare.

![]() |

Relgar follows Agni's lead.

GM Ietsuna |

Judging from the shelves lining the walls, this darkened room might once have been a storeroom, though its contents have long since succumbed to the passage of time. A crack in the northern wall has apparently let in some rainwater, which has collected in a large puddle on the floor.
Inside the room sits a god sized lizard. It has horns on either side of it's forehead and sparks seems to jump between some of its scales.
It hisses as you enter the room.

Relgar smiles at Agni.
"It appears the beast could not stand against our combined flame."

![]() |

Heroki comes charging moments too late, brandishing his sword above his head. Stopping just short of falling into the flames he says.
“The pyros are at it again, I swear they never save any for me.”

![]() |

"Surely more powerful foes yet await deeper, our combined strengths will be required to overcome this fortress."
Agni doubles back into the last room and tries the door to the central staircase. Perhaps the rubble didn't reach this floor?

GM Ietsuna |

With a slight shove the door into the central stairway opens for Agni. He sees the rubble build up down the shaft, but overhead is clear.

![]() |

Relgar looks at Agni.
"Should we proceed?"

GM Ietsuna |

The party stands at a closed door onto the third floor. Do you open it, or keep going up to the fourth level?

![]() |

The diminutive gnome looks at the doughty warrior.
"The door Agni. There is burning to do."

GM Ietsuna |

Two stone altars, one black and one white, sit at either end of this large chamber, which takes up two wings of the tower on this level. The crumbling remains of wooden benches sag in front of each altar beneath rotting ceiling tapestries. Carved symbols and writings snake along the walls. The burnt corpses of two troglodytes lie on the floor in the center of the room.
Two skeletons stand here, one near each altar. Flames lick across their bodies.

Agni's eyes light up at the flaming skeletons. "You shall make perfect sacrifices to the Queen of the Inferno. May you return to her fires with haste." Agni dashes forward and swings his torch in an upward arc, aiming for the center of the nearest skeleton's ribcage in an attempt to blast it apart.

I think that 1 hit point non-lethal is the minimum damage. But as the GM you can say it rounds down to 0.

![]() |

The small gnome stands mischievously pouting.
"Well. That was no fun. The skeletons were on fire already!"
"What is next?"

GM Ietsuna |

There are no doors of this chamber. There are still the altars at each end of the room though.

![]() |

Relgar goes to look at one of the Altars determined seemingly at random.
"Ok (determined by the GM), why don't we go look at that one."

GM Ietsuna |

Relgar goes to the black altar. Looking at it he sees a silver service worth roughly 50gp, a sliver holy symbol of Nethys and a scroll.

![]() |

Relgar identifies the scroll with Read Magic and casts Detect Magic to see if any of the other items are magical.
"Loot! Finally a reason to be here."
The gnome grins.
"I mean an official reason other than indulging my obsession."

![]() |

Relgar takes the scroll for safekeeping and he hands the remaining treasure to others. He then heads towards the other altar.

GM Ietsuna |

The white altar holds a silver service worth 50gp, a silver holy symbol of Nethys and a scroll of Shield Other.
Assumed you would ID it

![]() |

Relgar seems satisfied that at least they found something else of worth. He distributes the loot.
"More stuff to sell. Especially this scroll if we can find someone foolish enough to purchase it."
"Did we miss anything or are we done here?"
The marking of the secret door is plain to see on the map but did any of the characters notice it?

![]() |

Relgar eyes the lizard-man grinning with mirth.
"Did you actually get to do anything yet?"

GM Ietsuna |

No-one has rolled a perception in this room to notice anything unusual. The marking is clear, but your characters don't know.

![]() |

With the exception of the secret door have we explored all the other rooms that we know of?
"This cannot be all. It has been too easy. There must be more creatures to fight somewhere."
With these words a small toad appears on Relgar's arm and the gnome starts looking around a bit hopeful that the adventure is not already over.

Relgar looks around the room and notices something strange with the masonry on the south east wall. It is a secret door but it seems to be locked.

![]() |

"Hey guys we are not done. There is a door and it is locked. Can anyone deal with that?"
What kind of door is it? Can it be smashed through?
