A Kindred has trouble putting forth her full effort when the Beast’s instincts tell her to sleep. While a Kindred acts during the day — whether having remained active since the night before or having been awoken from slumber — dice pools for any task cannot exceed the character’s Humanity dots. For example, Solomon stays up well into the day to puzzle out a few clues to a threat against his Haven. Normally, Solomon’s Intelligence + Investigation dice pool is seven, but since his Humanity is only 4, only four dice can be used in the Investigation roll.
As a side note, ST Shadow has not been applying that to soak rolls, so pump that blood into stamina!
True so only up to five so no spend on stamina or str as I have potence and fortitude and those max at five good point. So spend one point in potence to activate, one in celerity, one in fortitude, one in obfuscate, and that is it.
Ah, good to know. I think that was what I wondered about most - +3 Stamina and +1 Fortitude seemed overkill if you only get 5 dice...

Correct, dice pools are limited to Humanity/Road rating. So if your Road is 1, you've got a single die in your Dice pool. I make an exception for soaking rolls and Virtue rolls, the instinct for survival is a powerful one!

With the amount of damage Lorenzo resisted in his scene, that seems like justification to spend 10 XP on Fortitude 3.
That leaves Lorenzo with 11 XP to spend. Think I'll spend another 7 to increase his Willpower to 8.
4 XP Remaining. Spending another 2 XP on Brawl 2. 2 XP remaining and we'll leave it there.

In all honesty though, I'm not sure where to spend my XP. I keep looking at it and having some difficulties.
Talking skills feel like the main idea. I think Empathy and subterfuge is his main ones. (One for powers sake and the other for well political pull)
That's right obfuscate 6 for me baby for 25 pts got to keep ahead of the curve
Oh there's lots of stuff I'd like to buy up, virtues, so many abilities.. but I figure if I can get at least one discipline up to 5 it would pay off in the century to come.

Of course, it's hard to get those disciplines up above five even with a large amount of experience when you have multiple paths of necromancy and thaumaturgy to fuel.

So yeah, I see the potential for Amaranth-based self improvement. But the way there is not as rosy.

Friggin time smoves fast these days, a first I was waiting for a few more PCs to trickle in then I just got too damned busy to check in, moving us forward now. Going to carve out 30 minutes a day per day for this game from now on. That means I might not be able to respond to everyone everyday. But it does mean I will keep moving us forward incrementally, daily. Once again my apologies and thank you all for your unlimited patience these last several months!
