One option I've actually considered is playing Zuana, his young wife finally embraced but now free of a blondbond with him by the embrace having her own mind and will. And ironically, perhaps even in another clan if he traded her so to speak in hopes of being with her.

A good idea to be sure. I would also increase Potence, Fortitude, and Celerity as well.
Valern and Fortitude are Clan so the XP cost is 5x current rating per dot.
Celerity and Potence are non-Clan so the XP cost is 7x current rating per dot.
I will be on vacation this upcoming week, but as long as we aren’t in combat i should be able to follow along. I’ll try and figure out how much exp I have and make my choices

Certainly social talents are useful. The game is heavier on the RP side but one never knows when those pesky Knights may try and jump you! :-)
