Hi all, nice work finishing the first adventure!
Real quick I just wanted to mention Chronicles.
I went ahead and finished my part of the chronicles for adventure 1 and I also have reported all 6 scenarios.
Generally this is where you'd get your completed chronicle but as a reminder it is everyone's responsibility to ensure they're tracking their hero point spending/saving, deck upgrades, tier, and any other notes. If you need a link to your chronicle, it is in the campaign header under the turn order. just click your name.
Everything should be under "Page 1" and the latest scenario is under "Page 2"
If you have any questions or need help filling out the chronicle then please let me know! I'm happy to help. Ultimately I'm just trying to make this more like face-to-face where it's player responsibility to fill out their chronicles and the organizer just needs to report.

![]() |

Roger that about chronicles.
3-1F End of scenario
Hero Point: kept. Total is now 2.
Deck Upgrade:
Item 1: 1d1000 ⇒ 120
Ally 1: 1d1000 ⇒ 948

Harsk the Ranger |

My impression is we don't get two upgrades - we all automatically get the Blessing 1 upgrade (if we wan) then chose one other card to upgrade. Is this right?
Harsk will bank his Hero Point.
Deck Upgrades:
Blessing 1 -> Auto Upgrade
Blessing 0: 1d100 ⇒ 33
Item 1: 1d1000 ⇒ 70
Harsk would be interested in the Loot item if no one else is.

![]() |

Yes, I do believe Harsk is right:
Each character chooses a blessing with an adventure deck number of 1 from the game box. Adventure Card Guild characters may gain that card as a bonus deck upgrade.
Emphasis mine.
This means we have to choose Blessing 1 and something else. Ezren just can't take advantage of it so that goes to waste :(

![]() |

Hero Point: Saved (2 Total)
Blessing 1: Blessing of Gozreh.
Normal Upgrade: None.
Tier Up: 2

BR redeux |

3-1F
Oloch/Agent Eclipse, blessing 1
Celeste/EmpTyger spell 1, blessing 1
Ezren/Akaitora item 1
Mavaro/ScorchedOne - blessing 1
Harsk/MauveAvengr - blessing 1, blessing 0
Harsk would be interested in the Loot item if no one else is.
If you're referring to Holy Candle, everyone can use the reward one time this entire AP. If referring to the Sihedron Madallion it looks like on the loot sheet it is currently in Celeste's deck. I did add the Holy Candle to the Loot sheet just now though so we can track when everyone uses the reward during the adventure path.

Harsk the Ranger |

Ah - I'll probably hold off on using it then. Will update my deck handler.

![]() |

Boon Roll: 1d20 ⇒ 4
Oloch eats the die in anger after it fails him.
Item 2 (Gem of Physical Prowess): 1d1000 ⇒ 20

Harsk the Ranger |

Harsk will spend a Hero Point on Skill Feat: WIS +1
Upgrade Preferences:
Blessing 0: 1d1000 ⇒ 751 Blessing of Erastil
Boon?
Boon!: 1d20 ⇒ 12

![]() |

Oh yeah.
Spending Hero Point for:
[X] You may recharge a blessing or a spell to add 1d4 ([ ] +1) and the Magic trait to a check by a character at your location to defeat a monster.

![]() |

Ezren will spend a Hero Point on a Card Feat: Spell.
For his upgrade:
Item 2: 1d1000 ⇒ 181
Spell 1: 1d1000 ⇒ 643
Spell 2: 1d1000 ⇒ 542
CON roll: 1d20 ⇒ 4

Mavaro - ScorchedOne |

Boon: 1d20 ⇒ 17
12s and 17s abound.
Skill Feat: Intelligence +2
Item 2: 1d1000 ⇒ 854
Shrunken Head, replacing Harrow Deck.

![]() |

Heh, now that you mention it, every Convention Boon roll result was repeated at least once. That's pretty strange.
I noticed that Oloch's only desired upgrade is an item 2, so Ezren will defer to him and get a Spell 1 instead.
If I'm not mistaken, this means we get:
Oloch: Item 2
Harsk: Blessing 0
Ezren: Spell 1
Celeste: Spell 2
Mavaro: Item 2

EmpTyger |

For reference:
Here are the total boon counts this scenario:
5 Weapons
4 Spells
4 Armors
7 Items
10 Allies
4 Blessings
Of note:
There are 3 items already in Junk Beach.
There are 3 allies already in Rusty Dragon
There are 3 allies already in Wooden Bridge.
There are 3 blessings already in Shrine of Lamashtu.
We can't accumulate 4 weapons or 4 spells without using the Warrens.

BR redeux |

Whenever you explore and you encounter a boon, you pick an open location to put the boon into and each player at your location summons and encounters the Bandit. After that, you can roll 1d6 to see if you can close the location.
There's no henchmen or villains to close the location, so you'll need to either empty a location, or close by the 1d6 roll.

EmpTyger |

Apologies for how analytical this is. I'm going to sleep on this for certain before I take Celeste's turn. What are people's thoughts? Anything I'm missing?
So at this point the party has 8 turns in all. Everyone gets 1 turn, then Celeste, Ezren, Mavaro.
With 3 locations: Rusty Dragon, Warrens, Shrine of Lamashtu.
So I think there are 3 ways we can handle this:
1) Close the Warrens now, then split up to tackle the last 2 locations.
2) Work together to empty Rusty Dragon, then Warrens -> Shrine.
3) Work together to empty Shrine of Lamashtu, then Warrens -> Rusty Dragon.
Plan 1) Warrens first. This is the most random.
With 2 explores, Celeste should be able to close the Warrens this turn.
Then the boons get divided between Rusty Dragon and Shrine of Lamashtu.
Then the math gets ugly. (I think we have a 75-80% chance of getting at least 1 set of 4 boons together, and 25-30% chance of gettings at least 2 sets of 4 boons. But, I don't trust my math enough.)
Worst case, all the boons are split evenly, and we only have 1/6 chance per boon explore at each remaining location (allies for Rusty Dragon, Blessings for Shrine of Lamashtu).
The advantage is that we can spread out between the two locations. We can minimize the extra Bandit summons Celeste, Ezren, and Mavaro have to face, to ensure that we get the most out of the last 3 turns. (For example, Celeste will be at the closed Warrens. Ezren winds up somewhere after exploring with Appleslayer. Mavaro goes to Ezren's location. Harsk and Oloch go to the other. Then Ezren only has 1 summoned Bandit and Celeste and Mavaro have none.)
Disadvantage is that we could unlucky. No guarantee that 6 explores hits a 1/6 chance.
Plan 2) Rusty Dragon first. We need 9 explorations by no later than the end of Celeste's turn. Then Celeste can close the empty Rusty Dragon, Ezren close the Warrens by finding a non-Blessing gang, and then Mavaro close the Shrine of Lamashtu by finding any gang.
I believe we have exactly 9 explores we could use at the moment:
Celeste: 1 + blessing
Ezren: 1 + ally (Appleslayer forces a move so can't count towards the total)
Mavaro: 1 (can't use ally without dying)
Harsk: 1 + ally
Oloch: 1
Celeste: 1
The issue is that Celeste and Mavaro are going to be subjected to repeated Bandit summons. (Ezren could move away with Appleslayer, so he shouldn't have any issues with the Warrens.)
Celeste will have 6 Bandit summons, so my hand would be lost. But on my 2nd turn, I could explore with an empty hand into the last card (Bunyip), fail, and then have Harsk or Oloch avenge me. That empties the location, but I only have a 50% chance to close the location.
Mavaro has a harder time, because he's at risk of death. He has to survive 4 summoned Bandits: 1 on his 1st turn, 2 on Harsk's turn, 1 on Oloch's turn. Then defeat a 5th Bandit on his 2nd turn at the Shrine of Lamashtu for the win.
Alternately, Mavaro could not go to the Rusty Dragon, to avoid the extra summons. But then we need another explore there somehow. We could get it if Mavaro passes his ally to Harsk or Oloch. But then Ezren would need to first pass a card to Mavaro, or else Mavaro dies at the end of his first turn. Then Mavaro has a full hand, with only 1 summoned Bandit to fight at the Shrine of Lamashtu.
Plan 3) Shrine of Lamashtu first. This location only needs 8 explores, but Celeste won't be able to close, so it has to happen by the end of Oloch's turn. Which we can do, as above in Plan 2.
The advantage is that it takes a lot of pressure off of Mavaro. Celeste will have an empty hand on her 2nd turn, so I won't be able to close a location myself. But I can move to the Rusty Dragon and reset. Then Ezren on his 2nd turn closes the Warrens. And when Mavaro goes to the Rusty Dragon on his 2nd turn, even if he fails against his Bandit, Celeste will have a full hand of cards, and if she beats her Bandit we win.
However, it puts extra pressure on Oloch to make the Divine check. Celeste doesn't have Divine and won't have any cards in hand.
Also, the banes in the Shrine of Lamashtu cause extra discards (Enchanter and Sneak), and if we lose an ally or blessing or some other crucial card, we can't make up the explore.

EmpTyger |

I'm still going to hold off on Celeste's turn until everyone's had a chance to weigh in.
After sleeping on it, I'm leaning towards Plan 1 (Warrens first), because there's less pressure on any 1 player to succeed. If someone has an unlucky turn, someone else could have a lucky turn to make up for it.
With the other plans, there doesn't seem to be any margin for error. We'd need every explore on every remaining turn.
Although, hm. Does anyone have a way to encounter a boon offturn? I hadn't considered that possibility. That might change things?

Oloch will take the Reward cards instead.
Weapon 2: Shock Glaive +1
Spell 1: Stone Skin
Hero Point: Wisdom +1

Harsk the Ranger |

Harsk will take:
Weapon 1: Deathbane Light Crossbow +1
Blessing 0: Blessing of Lamashtu
Spend a Hero Point on a Card Feat:
Ally and pick up Shock Lizard

![]() |

Harsk will take the Weapon 2 and Ally 1 upgrades. Great distribution! This allows Ezren to take Hrym and Rodrick, all in one go!
For his Hero Point, Ezren will get a Power Feat (Hand Size 7).
As an additional note, I noticed that I had forgotten to mark my spell card feat from last game in my character handler, and subsequently the spell it granted. For this game, I filled out the 'empty slot' with Unerring Weapon.

![]() |

EmpTyger: It seems like we can all take the same cards if we wanted to, so no need to worry about what the others took for this one scenario.

BR redeux |

The Item 2 is from the normal deck upgrades, so only one person could claim that. But if going for the rewards from the location cards, then yes you can double up.
So far Oloch, Harsk, and Ezren are going for location cards so no one else is wanting that item 2 but Mavaro still needs to post their preference.

Harsk the Ranger |

Harsk will use a Hero Point on the feat: Hand Size 6
Ally 2: 1d1000 ⇒ 279 Saber-Tooth Tiger
Item 0: 1d1000 ⇒ 636 Spyglass
Ally is low priority for me too. Happy taking the Item 0.

![]() |

If an Ally 2 isn't claimed I will take an it and use my Hero Point to gain an Ally slot. Otherwise I will take another Blessing Slot and no reward.
Overall, the ally is low priority for me.

![]() |

Ezren will use his Hero Point to gain an intelligence skill feat. (+2).
He is happy to take one of the Ally 1's.

![]() |

Gonna let Harsk, Celeste and Mavaro (possibly) go for the ally 2s.
Updating my sheet with Blessing Card Upgrade.

Mavaro - ScorchedOne |

I don't need a 2. Looking at a B and also picking up second ally for card feat maybe. My ally 2 choices are suboptimal.

small fyi - I'm running a bunch of blocks over gencon so i may be somewhat scarce until Monday. I certainly don't expect everyone to be posting as frequently either. If you are playing games, have fun!
If you aren't playing games--There's room for my PACS special table as of writing this. Gen Con Link. I also have one tabletop simulator account I can loan out if you don't own it. Also, if the cost is prohibitive for you and you'd otherwise like to play, please private message me on discord: redeux#9667 and i'll pick up a ticket for you. I'm much more likely to see a discord private message than a paizo PM over next several days
Otherwise, enjoy the rest of the week& weekend!
