            The Night Before Game Day
With apologies to Clement Clarke Moore
'Twas the night before Game Day, when all through the house
not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.
The minis on the mantle had been painted with care,
in hopes that St. Jacobs soon would be there.
The children were nestled all snug in their beds,
while visions of adventure played on in their heads.
And Mama with her fighter, and my redeemed Darkfire Adept,
had just stolen into the lair of that false Razmiran sect.
When out on the roof there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from the couch to see what was the matter.
Away to the window I flew like CW's Flash,
tore open the shutter, and threw up the sash.
The moon on the breast of the new-fallen snow
gave the lustre of midday to objects below,
when, what to my wondering eyes should into view dance,
but a miniature sleigh and eight writers who freelance!
With a haggard editor, fresh from an all-nighter,
I knew in a moment it must be Wes Schneider!
More rapid than eagles, his coursers they came,
and he whistled and shouted and called them by name:
"Now Tim! Now Amber!
Now, Greg and Russell!
On, Richard! On, Nick!
On, John and Michael!
To the top of the porch!
To the top of the wall!
Now dash away! Dash away!
Dash away all!"
As dry leaves that before the wind elemental fly,
when they meet with an obstacle, mount to the sky
so up to the house-top the coursers they flew,
with the sleigh full of gamer swag, and audio dramas too.
And then, craning my ear to the roof perpendicular
I could hear the heavy tread boots of each contributor.
As I drew in my head and was turning around,
down the chimney Young Wes came with a bound.
He was dressed all in fake fur, for they are not overfond
of that sort of thing in blue Washington's progressive Redmond.
A bundle of books he had flung on his back,
and he looked like a peddling librarian opening his pack.
His eyes--how they twinkled! His dimples, how merry!
His cheeks were like roses, his nose like a cherry!
His droll little mouth was drawn up like a bow,
and the beard on his chin was in need of a mow.
The stump of a pipe he held tight in his teeth,
and the smoke it encircled his head like a wreath.
He looked a bit high, and slightly less then regal,
but that's what you get in a State where pot is half-legal.
His character, a multi-class ninja, pirate, half-dinosaur elf,
its huge Hero Lab™ sheet made me laugh, in spite of myself.
With a wink of his eye and a flip of his thumb
he showed me the new archetype that was yet to come.
He spoke not a word, but went straight to his editing work,
and corrected our character sheets, even Bill's the rules jerk.
And laying his finger aside of his nose,
and giving a nod, up the chimney he rose.
He sprang to his sleigh, to his team gave a whistle,
And away they all flew like the down of a thistle.
But I heard him exclaim, 'ere he drove out of sight,
"Happy Game Day to all, and to all a good game night!"

Actually, I will bow out of this one. After just a day, I am feeling over-committed, so best not to add more games.

I am unable to view the map on slide 2. I get some kind of rendering error. Is this going to be a problem?
It will only make things a little harder. The actual combat map should be fine, but evidently there is something off about the sketch map so that it does not copy properly.

Drelluandast finds a woolen scarf in blues and grays for 1 gp. His familiar Rattholomew immediately snuggles up in it and chirps happily from his new, soft nest around the gnome's neck.
Looks like it's from Ultimate Equipment. Just a plain vanilla scarf.

The Adventurer's Armory lists Scarf from prices ranging from 1SP-5GP.
Let us go with 1 GP as a standard good quality scarf. I also own Ultimate Equipment.
My character has also purchased a Blood Boiling Pill for 75 gp.
His toad familiar is not participating in combat but he can hide as well within the scarf for story reasons.

My character has a scarf covering his mouth at the moment. He is holding nothing in his hands. He has a dagger in a sheath, a backpack, an alchemist kit, a spell pouch, a scroll case and a backpack.

Drelluandast is wearing a floppy straw hat, a woolen scarf in blues and grays, a blue tunic that matches his beard, comfortable pants with a pouch tied around the waist, and soft brown leather boots. He is carrying a hand-sized chalkboard (which is currently a mix of yellows and golds) in one hand, with a piece of chalk in the other for quick sketches. He tends to drop the chalk when startled - thankfully, it’s relatively cheap.

Jurmo is wearing the clothing of a Sczarni vagabond, currnetly in dark black and grey thanks to the sleeves of many colors. In his left hand he caries a odd bundle of linked metal rods, a nine-section whip. His outfit has many hidden pockets containing his various components. Before entering he would pull a straight wooden wand from his pack and slide it into his belt for ease of access before putting the pack back on and cinching it tight.

Solemnia wears a green scholar's tunic, and matching capri-style slacks. Over her tunic she wears a decorative lamellar cuirass. She wouldn't be holding anything aside from a notebook and pen, unless she needed light in which case she might be holding an activated sunrod.

Hello, all! GM Redelia asked me to step as a guest GM over the next several days to help you move along through the scenario and also allow her to devote necessary time to her family.

We are essentially playing with three characters. The other character either disappears or makes cryptic posts to the GM instead of straight up combat actions. My character is playing down which helps enormously. Access to pearls of power and 2nd level spells really helps a lot. If those creatures were not webbed it would be bad news.
Tier 1-5 has probably the most disparity of power levels in the entire game.
