This is a CORE game. That means (with few few exceptions) that if your character has stuff that is not from the CORE rulebook (races, feats, spells, traits etc) you won't be able to play.
If you are currently in a game or expect to apply a GM chronicle before play, hold off putting in the information.
To make my life easier when it comes to filling in chronicles, if you could each put in a single post with:
Chronicle: What chronicle number this is for the character
History: What scenarios has the character completed? (or been credited with); any other chronicles (special boons etc)
Name:(the player) real name (as you have it appear on your chronicle sheets)
AKA: Character name
Faction: Your faction
PFS: # for the character
XP: starting XP, Note if Slow track!
Prestige: Starting prestige
Fame: Starting Fame
Gold: Starting wealth you bring into the adventure. This should be the total on your previous chronicle. If you want to buy any new stuff... see further on.
Day job: include the roll or that you don't have one. If you want to use a reroll at the end just note here you may want to use a reroll. If you don't include a roll I'll be assuming you take ten. Add the actual gold amount if you want to save me looking it up...
Spend: If you want to buy anything before the scenario starts (apart from your initial 150gp if you are a new character) include it here. This will appear in the "items bought" and/or "items sold" part of the chronicle.
Try to hold off actual discussion here until we have one post per character with those details (makes life easy for me to make the chronicles for you all at the end).
Please add an Icon for your character to the map. If you don't know how, let me know and I'll help. Also dot into the gameplay thread, or just hang around and RP there if you like.

History: In particular can you call out if you have chronicles for #35(Voice in the void), 03-07 (Echoes of the Overwatched), or 06-02 (Silver Mount Collection) on your character. For 03-07, in particular let me know if you are a member of the family (it is a 20PP vanity you can purchase off the chronicle).

Chronicle: 12
History: In order, Murder on the Throaty Mermaid, The Frost Fur Captives, Serpents Rise (Zurnzal), God's Market Gambit, Sky Key Solution, From Under Ice, The Prince of Augustana, The Cosmic Captive, Ward Asunder, In Wrath's Shadow, and the ABSOLUTELY GOD-AWFUL Solstice Scar (B edition). They are all pretty bad (I stopped at 2.5 but that was bad enough). PFS players should get bonus XP and Fame just for signing up for any of these after you've played 1.5 of them. The worst thing to happen to Pathfinder since the Wizard's Mask.
Name: Great Green God (though I am thinking about changing it to 'Scam Likely' - so that no one ever picks up my calls again).
AKA: Gwendolyn the Strange
Faction: Dark Archive
PFS: 139009-12
XP: 11 (standard speed)
Prestige: 32
Fame: 40
Gold: 2091.04
Day job: Profession (Librarian at the Grand Lodge): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 5 = 14 So like a degree-in-education-sort-of-pay.
Spend: I'll have to get back to you on this bit.
Ran Voice in the Void once, but did not apply it to Gwen.
The link to the map takes you to the gameplay page.

I wouldn't use this material to build my nest with.

Spend: How much are rats?

Or A (there really isn't an end to it just the suggestion you'll have to come back), or C (which I freely admit to have never played except that part that you play in wait for it--), or part D (which was awful enough for me to leave). Granted I was playing one of those characters for whom honor means a lot too in the middle of an emergency with one of those omnipotent fey Trelane-like prick-NPCs who force you to play their little games--but only by their rules.
Just.... Yughk.
I could write a trilogy of novels on how bad these were done--and obviously some might consider part of that to be the fault of folks at the tables I was playing them at, but by far and away I set the blame squarely on the design team. The fact that the Pathfinder Society big wigs hyped it in such a way that made people (the "bitter enders" as I like to call them) play all four of these used litter boxes to the very end was a whole other sort of terrible. I, and those unfortunate PCs who played more than one of them consecutively know how Bill Murray's character felt when he was at his lowest point in Groundhog's Day--when he was trying to kill himself. Serious, if I had it to do over again I would use just one character and just race to the end of the scene I had played through previously as if I had played through them previously (like the end quarter of the Scott Pilgrim movie).
In my character's best John Oliver voice I would probably have them say something like: "Yeah, shut the Hell up, Medda. Yeah, I know your name, and knew you where hiding up here too, because--even though you don't remember it--we've met before and the last time you were an absolute b%+!$ so to save everyone the time and trouble, Imma gonna punch you and your dirty laundry sheet eidolon, Anok, out now!"
I'd maybe even finish people's sentences for them. Announce stuff that is about to happen "Aaaaand now the orcs attack." I mean why not, I have a chronicle for it, right? So it had to have happened before. It probably happened to the other party members too, but they just don't want to say because they are afraid that it will make them sound crazy.
It is just soooo bad!
Deep breaths, deep breaths. Remember G-to-the-3 you're stronger than this.
So yeah you could say that I didn't like them. That's fair.

![]() |

And another thing!
I'll buy a ring of protection +1, leaving Gwen and Hera with 91gp and 8 cp (not 4 cp as indicated above).

Ironshanks is finishing up a game now so I'll wait to add in his info block. On another note though: the map is set on read only for me so I can't add any icon.

Yes... The official news:
Hey Everyone,
I have some unfortunate news. I regret to inform you all that we will have to postpone Gameday VIII by 2 weeks.
This would place our new dates for Gameday at: 09 Sept 2019 - 17 Nov 2019
WHAT IS GOING ON? WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS?
As most of you are aware, the majority of the GM’s (including me) have not received their scenario support for the Convention to include a good portion of the Specials. With Tonya occupied by other duties this weekend, we realized as a team that we are very unlikely to see the remainder of scenario support drop by Monday the 26th. Multiple avenues were discussed and what seems to be the best solution is to push Gameday back by two weeks. This will allow enough time for the GM’s to receive their scenarios and prep them.
BUT WHAT IF WE ALREADY HAVE OUR SCENARIOS, CAN WE START THEM?
Please hold off until the new start date to be able to eligible for your boon rewards. I understand this is a large inconvenience, we are doing everything we can to make this work. Part of that is to have everyone one the same start / end times rather than scattered.
We apologize for the inconvenience that this may cause, but we want all our GMs to have a chance to shine.

The Night Before Game Day
With apologies to Clement Clarke Moore
'Twas the night before Game Day, when all through the house
not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.
The minis on the mantle had been painted with care,
in hopes that St. Jacobs soon would be there.
The children were nestled all snug in their beds,
while visions of adventure played on in their heads.
And Mama with her fighter, and my redeemed Darkfire Adept,
had just stolen into the lair of that false Razmiran sect.
When out on the roof there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from the couch to see what was the matter.
Away to the window I flew like CW's Flash,
tore open the shutter, and threw up the sash.
The moon on the breast of the new-fallen snow
gave the lustre of midday to objects below,
when, what to my wondering eyes should into view dance,
but a miniature sleigh and eight writers who freelance!
With a haggard editor, fresh from an all-nighter,
I knew in a moment it must be Wes Schneider!
More rapid than eagles, his coursers they came,
and he whistled and shouted and called them by name:
"Now Tim! Now Amber!
Now, Greg and Russell!
On, Richard! On, Nick!
On, John and Michael!
To the top of the porch!
To the top of the wall!
Now dash away! Dash away!
Dash away all!"
As dry leaves that before the wind elemental fly,
when they meet with an obstacle, mount to the sky
so up to the house-top the coursers they flew,
with the sleigh full of gamer swag, and audio dramas too.
And then, craning my ear to the roof perpendicular
I could hear the heavy tread boots of each contributor.
As I drew in my head and was turning around,
down the chimney Young Wes came with a bound.
He was dressed all in fake fur, for they are not overfond
of that sort of thing in blue Washington's progressive Redmond.
A bundle of books he had flung on his back,
and he looked like a peddling librarian opening his pack.
His eyes--how they twinkled! His dimples, how merry!
His cheeks were like roses, his nose like a cherry!
His droll little mouth was drawn up like a bow,
and the beard on his chin was in need of a mow.
The stump of a pipe he held tight in his teeth,
and the smoke it encircled his head like a wreath.
He looked a bit high, and slightly less then regal,
but that's what you get in a State where pot is half-legal.
His character, a multi-class ninja, pirate, half-dinosaur elf,
its huge Hero Lab™ sheet made me laugh, in spite of myself.
With a wink of his eye and a flip of his thumb
he showed me the new archetype that was yet to come.
He spoke not a word, but went straight to his editing work,
and corrected our character sheets, even Bill's the rules jerk.
And laying his finger aside of his nose,
and giving a nod, up the chimney he rose.
He sprang to his sleigh, to his team gave a whistle,
And away they all flew like the down of a thistle.
But I heard him exclaim, 'ere he drove out of sight,
"Happy Game Day to all, and to all a good game night!"

Okay, APL calculation
Tatiana 4
Urias 5
Gwyn 4
Argenta 7
Ironshanks 4
==Total 24/5 = 4.8 -> 5 -> High tier with 4 player adjustment.
Adding in Grog 6 we get
Total 30/6 -> 5. Still High tier with 4 player adjustment.
Let us hope that Grog turns up, that would certainly make things easier for you. High tier with only one character in tier for it will be challenging.

![]() |

Should I check how much PP Urias has? :P

![]() |

I think Urias is the alchemical power component for the snowball spell. ;)

![]() |

I have yet to kill a single PFS character, though I've come close a couple of times. You are likely in safe hands, but no promises.

![]() |

Dice roller hates me.
legit

![]() |

![]() |

Alchemist weapon are not weapon despite their name. They are not charted into the weapon category but into alchemical item.
The only object you can draw while moving are weapon-like object and alchemical weapon are not.
The archetype Underground Chemist even confirm that interpretation with his level 2 ability.
At 2nd level, an underground chemist is able to retrieve an alchemical item as if drawing a weapon. She adds her Intelligence modifier to damage dealt with splash weapons, including any splash damage. She adds 1/2 her level to Craft (alchemy) checks. This ability replaces evasion.

![]() |

That certainly would imply that you can't normally draw one as a move. Oh well, that which has already gone has gone and we'll have to remember it for the future.

![]() |

I'll be away on a quick one nighter camping/fishing/foraging trip until Saturday night. Please bot as necessary. And do roll better than I have been. Thanks.

![]() |

I am away at a convention from tomorrow afternoon until sunday evening, I will post as best I can.

![]() |

Got jury duty tomorrow.

![]() |

And on a side note, occult magic with "spells" that have effectively no components and can be cast in a grapple is one of the reasons that I moved away from normal PFS and into Core. So you have my apologies that the BBEG in this case uses pychic magic.
Obviously I am also not that familiar with it, so if I'm playing it wrong, feel free to sing out.
Heck, I'm not even sure that he had to make a concentration check, the rules are pretty contradictory about that.

![]() |

Occult spells are still spells. They require concentration, if grappled you still need to make the regular concentration check.

![]() |

Primary goal: Successfully secure all three beacons in warding containers. [/b]Success.[/b]
Secondary goal: Two of the three:
Disarm the first beacon without harming it Success
Learn all the information from the creature with the second beacon. Success
Restore Imrizade to positive HP before end of third encounter. Success
Dark Archive additional boon requirements
Two out of three required:
First beacon: Follow up reserach Success
Second beacon: Three answers from the creature Success
Third beacon: Capture the man or one of his creatures alive. FAIL
Still, as Meatlove says, Two out of Three ain't bad. And in this case that is good enough.

![]() |

I almost forgot! Boon rolls: (order taken from last combat status line)
Ironshanks: 1d20 ⇒ 9
Gwen: 1d20 ⇒ 2
Urias: 1d20 ⇒ 17
Grog: 1d20 ⇒ 14
Tatiana: 1d20 ⇒ 7
Argenta: 1d20 ⇒ 4
GM: 1d20 ⇒ 15
Bahh, my boon luck is appalling. Thank you all very much for playing.
@Gwen - how do you have 11 xp and 32/40 prestige/fame?
@Urias - similar question. 10xp but Fame: 22. 10xp would also have you at level 4 rather than level 5 (as listed)
Chronciles are now available. Please check them and make sure they are accurate. Especially Gwen and Urias!
Thank you all for playing.

![]() |

Thanks GM. I enjoyed myself other than the obnoxious combats meant to destroy morale for under leveled ground pounders like myself. Not something that is in your control of course.
Thanks!

![]() |

That last encounter is a bit of a beast. I was wondering how you were going to handle it. The two arcane casters going into HTH was not something I had considered.

Thank you for the game.

[X][X][ ] Recruit a named NPC aristocrat, noble, ambassador, or similar figure to cooperate with the faction with a successful Diplomacy or Knowledge (nobility) check (DC = 14 + your character level + 3 for each of this goal’s checked boxes).

Diplomacy DC20: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (15) + 12 = 27

Again, thanks GM Aerondor for this Game and these tough fights ;-)

![]() |

@GM Aerondor thanks for running. Sorry my posting was spotty at times!
Grog wasn't very effective at times either. He's good with ranged and was confused a lot.

![]() |

@Gwen - how do you have 11 xp and 32/40 prestige/fame?
Yeah, should be 21/22. Must have been looking at something else at the time. And I just got a 28 on the last knowledge (arcana) check for day jobs. Apparently consulting pays better than education.
Other than that it looks fine. Thanks.
