This is a dungeon crawl, not nearly as tough as some others, but tough nonetheless. And a sequel to Crypt of the Everflame Please do not sign up before Sign-up dates. I'll allow a dot and delete if you want to keep tabs on the thread, but I'm going to be advertising this in the Flaxseed Lodge on the day of sign-ups. Sign-ups will take place in this thread.

I will be selecting people based off partly first come first serve and partly party composition. Keep reading so you know what I expect and you can prepare for it.

Party Composition:Special roles have priority, then first come first serve. The Game is meant for levels 2-4, but to qualify for a special role, you must be Level 3 or 4. If you are Level 2, you fit under other role, the exception is trap detector. Please declare being a special role if you are one to make it easier for me. Once the roles are filled, any duplicates are considered others. Joe declares Tank and meets the requirements, while John also declares Tank 30 minutes later, 3 posts down from Joe not seeing Joe's message. Joe is considered Tank, while John is considered other.
1 Tank minimum: Always front liner, D10 hit dice or better, and I'm not picky on the rest of the stuff. Though you can pass your D8 hit dice guy off as a tank if you have a 16 or better Con, and Medium Armor or better, as I don't want to see him drop too easy, and then the bad guys go chase after the wizard. Flexible on Multi-classing for this role, as long as you are 2 out of 3. Fighter 2/Wizard 1 is a tank, while Fighter 1/Wizard 2 is not.
1.5 Healers minimum:Healing Classes that have only level 6 spells as the Maximum or less count as 1/2 of a healer. Healing Classes that have level 9 spells as the Maximum count as a full healer. If you are multi-classed, which is only acceptable if you are a full caster plus something else, then divide it by 3. Cleric 4 is 4/3 of a Healer. Fighter 1/Cleric 2 is 2/3 of a Healer. Fighter 1/ Inquisitor 2 for example is not acceptable for this role. Fighter 1/ Inquisitor 3 would be though and would count as 1/2 a Healer. You don't have to be a heal bot, just a healing class.
1 Trap Detector Minimum: You can be any class or level for this. Disable Device must be 12 or better. Perception must be 7 or better. You will probably even want higher numbers than those. Nothing higher than a dc 30 here.
Others: Anybody else. Since the table limit is 7, there will be at most 3 others, cause you'll need 2 to fill up the Healers. Heck All three of you can be fighters and now we have more tanks, or all healers, etc.


Is there any need/bonus for the PC to have already been through Crypt of the Everflame? I think my only PC that has done that one is now out of tier.


Not a requirement, nor are bonuses given. People though will probably want to use the PC that went through Crypt.

Ehm Sven Nien is currently in a PbP. It should be over well before Gameday VIII starts. He will be gunslinger 1 / alchemist 3. He is primarily a short ranged damage dealer with bombs. His disable device will be +12 and perception +10 when he gets that chronicle. So would qualify for your Trap Finder role.

The Armenian Man has played Crypt of the Everflame; as a Warpriest 3, he qualifies as a 1/2 Healer for this game.

You'll either be the first tank or the first other in the first come first serve order, so take your time with selecting that character.


I do not have that many tanks in that level :-(
But my oracle has a tanky pet!

Silver Crusade

Nevedno is a medium, so he can channel a different spirit on any given day to help out with various things. He's only second so far, so not really that great at anything. Yet.
When he is channeling his trickster spirit, his disable device will be +8 and perception +6. So not your minimums for that role. But he can help out some with any role. By default, if no other need is known, he channels his champion spirit for melee combat.

Well, if Helikon brings in the Oracle, there will be more than enough healing cause we will have 2.5 healers. Paladin can be a good tank, we still need one, and more healing, can never have enough of that. Ninja if he has high perception and other good stuff.

I'd like to join. Alarien here played through Crypt of the Everflame as a magus kensai 1. I've thought about rebuilding her as a level 2 samurai instead, though (probably iaijutsu master).

I would like to offer the talents of the Sentinel to this group.
3 Spiritualist Ectoplasmatist/1 Slayer.

All leveled up and ready, I can bring to this group a capable melee that can deal a fair amount of burst/blitz damage. Skillwise Sentinel has a decent Perception, Intimidate, and Sense Motive at +10.
